Change Kernel Boot Logo - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can someone teach me how to change the kernel boot logo on my samsung kernel? I don't mean the boot animation. I may have built a ROM but the kernel used there doesn't belong to me.

I don't understand your last line, you may have built a ROM? As in your not sure? And the kernel in this ROM is where you think the boot logo is? Often Samsung devices store the boot logo (splash screen) in paramfs, being you didn't mention your phone I can't say for sure. Try a Google search to see what partition it resides in.

i have built a rom but i don't know how to modify the kernel. My phone is given riight in my siganature, a GT-S7562.

Your sig isn't showing on the tapatalk app, and off hand don't know what a gt-7562 is. I've never seen a phone with the splash screen located in the kernel partition but if it is on your phone you'll need to decompile the kernel and look for it, there are many guides on xda for this

What do you mean it's not possible g3mod v9 already supports multiboot of custom kernels.
explained why its not possible:
we simply have ONE boot partition, so we only have ONE kernel that can boot.
You CANT split the boot partition into more pieces, we have no access to do something
with the partition, so we CANT install a custom boot loader.
if you dont know "what is a partition" or "what is a kernel", try google

Come on I know what partition is or kernel.I saw many people running multiboot from booting through sdcard using custom kernel and rom.

Ics do it yourself hellraise!

So ive been seeing a lot of how do i use i777 zImage with xx rom for i9100 and make it work... So heres how
Method one
1. Get zImage from aokp if ur doing aosp rom or entropy or siyah with mic swap if ur doing tw. must be i777
2. Flash rom of choice...
3. Push kernel using heimdall or if u can make cwm
a. you can also unzip rom nd replace zImage in rom then rezip and flash
4. Go to market get es file explorer and set root rights
5. Go to /system/usr/keylayout
6. Modify sec_touchkey.kl and make it look like this:
key 158 BACK VIRTUAL
key 139 MENU VIRTUAL
key 107 SEARCH VIRTUAL
key 28 HOME VIRTUAL
7. Reboot
8. Enjoy and hit thanks

I couldn't get resurrection to boot either, but Batista's foxhound ROM did boot with fenny's kernel and the capacitive buttons worked - with the touch key file mod that howtoman posted in the instructions.

Changing Boot-Loader Splash Image ?

Hi Guys...
I was wondering Is there any way to change BootLoader image ? (The image which shows before Bootscreen ?)
I think i would have to flash a boot loader with a modified animation in order to customize it.
Can anyone help me with this ?
No, the bootloader is encrypted and can't be modified.
Image might be on kernel i think
Try decompile kernel and search rle images i think u can change there
Offtopic in non abuse way: *from your photo u look beautifull

Not an obvious title:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2418316
Image is not in the kernel by the way. Siyah kernel puts a boot splash on but this actuallty inserts between the actual boot splash and the boot animation, to give time to boot into 2nd rom. Nothing to do with the actual boot splash and does not replace it.
