Currently on Day 4
Apps from the day before have a buffer of a couple hours so you can still grab them for 10cents a couple hours into the next day.
From Android Central:
"Something interesting is going on in the Android Market this morning. A bunch of our favorite apps are suddenly going for a dime, with no real rhyme or reason for the discount. @dirkyd3rlc and @Pat_Huey on Twitter alerted us to Swiftkey and Minecraft on sale for 10 cents, and we've found others. (Update: And in the UK, the apps are going for 10p each, not 6p, which would be converted from 10 cents U.S. We definitely smell a trend here.)"
Here's the list as it stands.
Day 1
Great Little War Game
SketchBook Mobile
Paper Camera
Sound Hound
Asphalt 6
Fieldrunners HD

There may be others. (Sing out in the comments if you spot any.) Can't tell if this is a glitch (which seems a tad unlikely), or some sort of coordinated effort. Regardless, might as well take advantage.

Heres their official Announcement --->https://market.android.com/details?id=apps_timed_promotion&feature=banner
Apparently this will happen for ten days. Everyday there will be ten top premium apps for ten cents until the ten days are up. Say that ten times fast lol!
Amazon app store is doing a sale too. Here is the link for the OP so people can check it every day from any internet browser:
https://market.android.com/details?...WRfbXVsdGlfX18xX3Byb21vXzEzMjMxODcwNjMwNzMiXQ..
And the Amazon link:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...d_t=101&pf_rd_p=1337667882&pf_rd_i=2350149011
market.android.com is finally showing the deal. Google is calling it "10 Days of Offers, Top Premium Apps 10 cents per app"
The screenshot has Tetris, Fruit Ninja, NFS: Shift, and some air tracking app. Cool!
It's XMAS time. Whoo-hoo.
Now to only stay on a ROM for more than a week....
sweet!!
thanks for the heads up
Just came here to post and saw this thread was up. According to what GameLoft posted on Facebook:
"The Android Market 10 Billion App downloads celebration has started! Get Asphalt 6 at 10¢ for the next 24 hours!"
That only explains Asphalt, but maybe the influx of $0.10 apps has something to do with that.
Edit: akiradavis mentioned that right above me.....didn't catch that.
Does asphalt 6 work on EVO 3d. I never saw it in the market before. Thanks if anyone knows. I hate to throw a dime away

They make a 3D version for our phone. I'm not sure if that one is $0.10, though.
Are they going to change the 10 or just use the same 10 for 10 days?

getjar has a promotion and is releasing a few paid apps for free. Just thought you might want to take a look. It says December 2011 but the links are still active.

I got the app and there r several paid apps for free. My only problem is the getjar app is horrible. It lags and is hard to use. But it is worth it for the free apps.

Just a heads up, shadow gun is on sale for $0.49 cents today on the android market. I was just looking at that game yesterday and it was $6.99, I believe. I am downloading now, it looks pretty good.

This should be in the Themes and APPS section I would think.

This game is awesome! The graphics are pretty insanely detailed for a mobile game and it runs well on the Nook Tablet too.
Thanks for posting this, at 49 cents this game is a steal!
One caveat though: It insists on downloading 250 mb of additional game data, so be prepared to deal with that - it filled 477 mb of my sd card after the data was uncompressed.

Hey guys,
I bought my little sister this tablet for Christmas and want to find some games for her.
Any suggestions for games I should download or but for her? I want to set her up with a good amount of fun games and apps but don't really know any thing that kids would like.
Any parents here who can give me some suggestions? She's eight and pretty smart. Likes all the normal games. I also would like to find a video app for kid shows, Disney shows especially.
Thanks any help,
Alex

get the amazon appstore
it has 1 pay app for free everyday
usually it's a kids game
Hey, for the games, I would recommend Angry Birds, Bag Piggies, Cut the Rope, Temple Run, Agent Dash, Where's My Water?, World of Goo, Fruit Ninja, etc.
For kids shows, get netflix, its only $7 a month, it has a kids only section so she can watch cartoons and kids shows, and you can also use it yourself to watch Tv Series and Movies.
Hope I helped, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
ReduxTV has a Disney Channel, free in the play store. Game wise, check out kid mode. It has some flash games for kids to play and books. My 4 year old uses it, so I'm sure his setup would be different than hers. Also Where's My Perry.
My daughter is 9, and I bought her a Nexus 7, so pretty much the same thing?
I preloaded it with the following:
Art:
Zebra Paint, Doodle Joy, Paint Easy, My Paints
Games: Angry Gran Run, Angry Gran 2, Beach Buggy Blast, Cut The Rope, Extreme Skater, Flip Riders, Fruit Ninja THD, Granny Smith, iStunt2, Jelly Defense, Jet Set Radio, Jetpack Joyride, Kinectimals, Land-a Panda, Let's Golf 3, Littlest Pet Shop, Magic Piano, MX Moto, PMonsters, Puffle Launch, Rayman Jungle, Replica Island, Riptide GP, Rocka Bowling, Skater Boy, Sleepwalker's Journey, Slice It, Sprinkle, SummitX, Teeter, Temple Run, Trial X, Where's my Water, World of Goo, and Zen Pinball THD.

Great thanks a lot for the suggestions. I think I will loud up the most popular stuff for her, and then just get her a gift card so she can buy anything she finds interesting.
Thanks everyone!

+1 on the free app of the day on Amazon.
You get lucky every now and then. I've got quite a few good apps over the past year and a half. :good:
ThumbKeyboard was one of my scores. Don't use it on the tab but love it on the phone.
-1 on the Amazon app store.
Correct me if I'm wrong (haven't used it in over a year) but the free apps will only work as long as you have the Amazon app store installed (and tracking your usage). Removing the app store kills the apps.
Is that still the case?

Certain apps do not need the Amazon app to be running. Thumb Keyboard is one of those apps thankfully. Once it is installed and activated, it works perfectly when Amazon is "FROZEN" with Titanium.
For the ones that do need Amazon running in the background, I've got a work around. I've got the paid version of Titanium Backup. It has a "FREEZE" option that lets you do just that to an app. When I need to use the Amazon app or one of the apps I've gotten from the site, I just got into Titanium and "DEFROST" the Amazon app. When I'm done shopping or playing one of the games, I just freeze the app again. Really simple.
Data gathering is one of those things that is really hard to get around these days. Google and Facebook are the worst IMO.
Android Tuner has freeze/defrost options as well. (used to be System Tuner) Must have app for all Android devices. That and ROM Toolbox Pro. In my opinion anyways.
