So today has been a very bad day for me. Updated to cm.10.2 nightly and stupidly also flashed the siyah kernel, which is not optimized for the new rom. The process com.android phone didnt respond, so i tried wiping cahse, factory reseting, everything!!! i deleted everything on my phone and i soft bricked it. now im stuck on my boot screen and my pc cant recognize my usb cable. I tried re-installing the usb ports and tried to flash the stock via odin, but nothing happened, i just lost my recovery mod and only have my dl option. but odins always seems to fail me. tried 5-6 times.
Btw. i also tried to adb push a new rom in my phone earlier, but didnt work..
Someone please help me!!!
Edit: Odin always says "<ID:0/005> Complete(Write) operation failed."

Hi. Normally I wouldn't post a new thread for a common flashing problem but I'm really stuck here. I've been flashing for 5+ years and have never been this deep in crap before.
First of all after trying almost every rom I was on PARANOIDANDROID and I decided to go back to stock Bell UGDL3 firmware from samfirmware. Got everything ready Downloaded ODIN, started her up put the .tar.md5 file into the PDA section. Did not tick or untick any box. Plugged in the phone and started flashing.. then the phone hung on the factoryfs part of the flash and windows crashed (I was using win8 pre release bootcamped on a mac). So I thought that's weird. Tried it again and same thing. So I went to the GF's Win7 laptop, redownloaded everything and tried again. It too got stuck on the factoryfs part and then said failed. So then I had a phone that failed halfway through a flash.. no biggie happened before. I could still get into download mode. Went home and I had ODIN plus an old LPQ firmware on that so I tried flashing that. It just said failed to write, right away. Now after unplugging and plugging in the download mode so many times every computer I plug my phone into just says my device is not recognized. So now I'm thinking (but hoping that I haven't) messed up download mode? I also can't get into recovery as it just comes up with the screen "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again". Well Kies won't recognize my phone either... I'm a little worried that I've done some real harm...
i believe i had an similar problem with my i9000,
can you get into recovery mode?
No I cant
Sent from my HTC Legend using xda premium
It's my beloved I9100P. Last night it strangely failed. I realised in the morning when the alarm didn't go off. The phone was switched off.
When I tried to switch on, it got stuck in boot loop. The carrier animation and samsung logo will keep repeating. So I thought I will go into recover mode and do a factory reset. Phone went into factory mode the first time. I thought let me do a restart from there, just to see what happens. At this point, I noticed a lot of red errors on recovery mode screen, most of which saying something like "unable to mount /cache". I restarted it, but unfortunately the phone again went into boot loop.
Now when I tried, it refused to go even to recovery mode. I tried several times, but every time it got stuck on Samsung Galaxy logo.
It went into download mode fine, so I thought I will flash Orange UK carrier ROM. I downloaded the ROM and tried flashing with ODIN. ODIN recognised the device, but the flashing failed with error "Complete (Write) operation failed".
I don't know what to do now, have exhausted all option that I knew.
Any help in reviving my phone please?
@kaushal101 Keep yourphone phone connected to your pc and keep it in download mode. Dont disconnect it it could turn into a hardbrick which you can't fix without jtag repair service.
What you could do is see or you have installled all drivers, kies is disabled, right odin version. Google the problem and you would probably find an answer fast. I hope this message isnt too late..

Interesting. After trying several things, I did unplugged it from the machine. It shows the upgrade failed warning message whenever I try to switch it on now, which was expected.
I can still go to download mode and restart the ODIN flashing original Orange firmware process, but it fails with the same error. The only difference is, the first time it failed on CACHE step. Now it is failing one step earlier, at NAND writing stage.
Is there any hope? I had kies disabled etc., but will give it another shot. My phone was accessible with kies and I could also upload my development APKs from Android studio. So I think drivers shouldn't be a problem.
@kaushal101 I dont really have much knowledge about the s2 anymore, so the only good thing I can suggest is to google the problem and get more people to your thread here to help you and or find other threads about the same thing.
It is good that your phone can still go into downloadmode, I think there is still hope to fix your phone

Thanks for keeping the hope alive!
Have followed XDA's S2-ODIN troubleshoot guide, with no luck so far. Tried different versions of ODIN, reinstalled USB drivers, made sure KIES is removed from processes etc. None has helped so far. I'll keep looking!

Did you tryed another stock rom version?
Try other usb cable.
Sounds weird but try to leave the battery out of your phone for like a couple minutes
Try other usb port.
Try other computer:silly:
These are the things I can think of atm.
Have tried other USB port. Have tried a different firmware.
Am going to try a different PC today, will also give different cable a shot. But the cable I'm using is Samsung official one which came with the phone. And I've been uploading APKs using this cable fine, so am quite sure the cable is fine. But still, will give it a shot. Thanks for replying
Hello
i'm in the situation that i have read several times in the forum, but unlike those cases,
i dont get to fix the point.
I got a Samsung Ace S5830i. No root, no custom rom/fw, all original.
The phone has been used for 2 years and recently it was often disconnected from the mobile network. Until some days ago, i was not able to restart it.
When i try to switch on, it was stuck on Samsung logo screen.
After that, i have tried to start it in Recovery Mode (Vol - Home and Power on keys).
I have tried all options in that mode, but i never understood ih those actions were completed successfully. Anyway, any choice fixed my problem.
So i try to play with Kies, Odin and stock firmware from Sammobile.com.
Odin recognized the phone in download mode, but i did not get to flash.
Sometines Odin message was Failed, sometimes it was stuck at "setup configuration" message.
I have changed PC, USB port, different Odin version, different FW, but every time the same results.
Im now thinking that the Flash EEPROm is damaged. Is there any way to check its integrity?
Please help me, because i would avoid to change the phone.
Thank you very much

Jerryzak73,
bad news.
Yesterday i have got to flash the original firmware with Odin 3.07.
I was very happy to see the completion of the flashing process (100%, successfull), but ...
when the phone restarted, it was again stuck at boot with message:
-- Appling Muti-CSC --
i dont't what this message means and ask to the forum board some help,
to definetely assert that my phone is broken hardware and i have to trash it!
:crying:
fixed
Allora,
I gave up on trying to fix it myself and gave it to a mobile shop. they reinstalled the phone to factory settings for 10EUR, so far so good.

Hey guys, I just f***ed my phone up.
This is what happened
First of all, I'm sorry for my bad english, as I'm not a native speaker
I'm using Archi Droid v3.0.2, while playing a game my phone suddenly rebooted, I thought it was just overheated, but I got a bootloop, I tried to wipe cache & dalvik, reboot my phone... bootloop. I made it to the lockscreen though, but after 5 seconds it will reboot again. I'm wiping my phone through Philz & clean install the Archi Droid ROM, aanndd, still, bootloop. So I tried to restore my Lollipop backup (I downgraded my device to Kitkat because Lollipop is not as sweet as Xposed & A.D. ) and ... I can boot, BUT I CAN'T connect to the Internet, everytime my phone got "H+" signal on the top of the screen, the screen will flicker and signal will be lost (over and over). I can still make calls & sms though (if i turned the mobile data off). Then I tried to factory reset my Lollipop, and at first boot, it says "Installing Apps (or something) ... of 98" I thought it wouldn't install or upgrade any apps after factory reset. THEN I got bootloop again. I gave up, flashed stock firmware via Odin, succeeded. Going through setup & realized I still got this network problem, so i factory reset my stock 4.3 rom & after it finished... Planning to setup my phone and after 10 seconds I got bootloop again. I got a feeling (my feeling sucks) that this is a partition problem. So I tried to flash .pit file with samsung 4.3 stock firmware, and I'm stuck at "NAND WRITE START!!" in Odin. After praying for 1 hour I decided to remove the battery and disconnect my phone from the PC. Now everytime I flash something via odin, it will always stuck at "NAND WRITE START!!"
I want to try this (http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/help/solved-pit-bricked-dead-problem-gt-t2535367) though, but I'm afraid to mess my phone up even more.
Now I'm unable to flash ANYTHING into my phone, I need some (a lot of) help here. I'm going to university and asking for a new phone will get me into trouble (they will give me a $10 phone for sure). Thanks in advance

Fixed the problem by using this, Rescue Firmware . Flashed 4.3 rescue firmware with pit file, it worked.
The battery caused boot loop on my phone, guess it's solved then
I have a Samsung Tab 3 (SM-T210R) that started rebooting in the middle of the night. It gets to the main screen and about 10 seconds later reboots. The date is reset to December.
I've tried everything I can find. First the easy stuff such as full charge, different USB cable, different USB port.
I've also tried other things. I do have TWRP installed and tried factory reset that appears to do nothing. I've also tried CWR with factory reset and get errors such as "can't mount /cache/recovery/log" and "can't open an't mount /cache/recovery/log".
I tried to flash a stock ROM with several versions of odin and it fails. At one time it said pit not found so tried to flash that it it fails as well. The last attempt with odin v 3.07 and pit and stock ROM it just hung.
I'm now going to try an different computer.
Any thoughts on what to do next? I've spent at least 10 hours on this and go nothing but frustration.
Thank you
Edit ----
Odin on a older PC appeared to work. The flash ROM and PIT were loaded successfully according to Odin .... BUT, everything appears as it was before. All the old apps show up, the rebooting issue remains.
It would appear that no flashing takes. I also tried to flash newer version of TWRP and CWR and neither took.

If Stock ROM flashed with Odin doesn't solve the issue, then you probably have hardware issue.
Take it to a repair shop or Samsung Customer Service.

Thanks for the reply, To me it appears to be software. I can use TWRP and communicate via adb. For example, push , shell, sideload from my PC to the tablet. I can copy, move and delete files.
I'm suspecting it's a partition problem but don't know enough to confirm it or fix it.

Odin normally formats all the partitions, so, it should have fixed it if it was a partition problem.
