Maybe I am missing something obvious, but I am unable to apply lock screen security in any of the nightly builds of CM10.2. I have cleaned flashed them all and none of them work. I go into lock screen settings and when I apply the patter/pin/face unlock it goes through the process, but back in the options it remains as Slide. How do I enable lock screen security?
Edit:Just tried CM10.1 and it does the same thing. Driving me crazy!
Figured it out. My profiles were preventing me from changing it.

I wiped my Folio 100, installed the FolioMod v1.3d, and from here I installed a lot of apps, and changed a lot of settings, one of them is the screen lock (PIN)...
Now I want to turn it off, but the screen lock option under Location & security is missing, so now I can't turn off tor change he screen lock pin?
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
I've been searching this problem, but I couldn't find an answer...
I always enabling the pattern lock on my phone. after flashing Hyperdroid-Androidmeda 4.4.7 and then Vert's ICS Theme (did a full wipe) I've encountered a problem:
the pattern disables it self, and I get the regular lock screen, and no security is enabled. I also have PhoneLocator app installed, which should lock the device every time the display's off, but even than I don't get the pattern lock...
Has anyone encountered the same problem?
It's the I9100 international version, with the latest Hyperdroid rom.
Thanks!
I was used to using No Lock on my previous Android 2.3 phone:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.jraf.android.nolock
Always worked flawlessly.
On my SGS III however there is an annoying side effect.
I tried it with a Pattern Lock and also a PIN lock.
With one of these active, and then telling No Lock to disable the lock, I can succesfully turn the screen back on without going through the lock. Great for car or desk use.
However as soon as I then select something from the Notifications pulldown, the Pattern or PIN lock suddenly pops up! It is like it was already running in the background, and then became activated or something.
I tried various alternative apps, such as Impel (with a script), No Lock Screen (with Only when charging), Auto Unlock Trial Edition... but all exhibited the same problem. Some would even change the Home button into a 'Show The Lock Screen" button... even worse!
I wonder if this is specific for Samsung, or SGS III, or ICS.
So, has anybody got a clue... or a fix?
I think it's an ICS thing... I've been using Delayed Lock for over a year and IIRC when ICS came out, this problem was present, however it was fixed by the dev. The other thing is that for DL to work on ICS using an unlock pattern, it needs to go in the system/apps but didn't need to on GB.

Thanks, I'll give Delayed Lock a try.
In the mean time, still open for other suggestions and/or deeper insights into this matter!
You can just disable the lock screen in the security menu, no? I used the rooted image and Odin to root my phone but I thought the image was all stock and I have the option to have no lock.
I was trying different lock screen settings apks on my G3 and like a dummy I forgot to make a backup of the original. Does anyone have the apk that I can install to get it back to normal? I'm running Lollipop 5.0.1. I was trying things to see if I could get the weather effects back on my lock screen and the different lock screen unlock effects that I had before. Sadly, nothing has worked. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
Help! In trying to get my swipe lock screen to self-actvate when the screen turns off, I've managed to make the problem worse.
I made it PIN lock, intending to return to Swipe after testing. Now there are NO options for locking except PIN and no obvious way to clear it. I've read all kinds of suggestions, none of which worked. Surely this is not a "feature"?
Edit: Oh, duh. I can't believe this isn't documented somewhere. So you just go to the settings menu under Lock Screen and it says PIN. You touch that and it asks you to confirm your PIN. When you do you are presented with all the options again (including Swipe). Whew! Now if only the #%@#$ thing would engage when the screen turns off like it should!
