I'm building my new galaxy tab 7 into my truck. I am planning on hooking my tablet up via Aux input and connecting my phone via Bluetooth. I would like to be able to use an app to see my phones desktop and control calling etc through my tablet. Is there an app that allows me to do that through Bluetooth or wifi without having to root my phone or do it through a website? Ideally a widget but any app would be amazing.
Hey there!
I'm kind of looking into buying a docking station for my g nexus and I came up with some questions.
The general purpose for me would be to play music with a high quality. So, how does this work for the androids? Is it possible to connect the device via usb and play the music over it? Most of the docks I saw seemed to use Bluetooth to play the music and had the usb port only for charging the phone, if they even had any.
Is it possible to control the phone (e.g. skip a track, choose another track...) via bluetooth or does it only play the music and you have to control everything on the phone itself?
Final questions: Any suggestions on good hardware?
Thanks to everyone,
Harper
Hey all,
I'm wondering if it's possible to play audio on my Android devices (SSG Note 2, TF701, etc) through an ios enabled USB receiver? Specifically, my car has a usb port meant to plug in an ipod/iphone to stream music. It seems only to work with ios devices. Is there anything I can do on the phone/tab to spoof the ios and thus play audio in my car via the USB? The stereo does have bluetooth but I'm really looking to use this for videos to eliminate lag.
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
So my WiFi is down this week and I thought that's no problem, I'll just plug my s6 edge into the TV using the USB cable and stream media from my data plan... But my TV does not recognise the device as a media device?
So I read into it and Samsung have REMOVED MHL capability from all of its newer 2015 devices???? Why would they do this?
This basically means without a WiFi connection the phone cannot be used to stream media (other than Bluetooth music) to any other devices and also means our devices are incompatible with app car radios :good:
What are we suppose to do?
I purchased this indash Pioneer unit for large screen display of nav info using Waze or Google maps. The phone function connects OK via USB, the bluetooth connects OK for music, but the Pioneer will not recognize the phone's nav input.
Two different brand phones owned by the radio shop crew connect flawlessly to the unit via USB. They have tried repeatedly to get the X829 LeMax2 running stock Android 6.0.1 to connect, without any sign of success.
Could it be the USB-C? The two other phones are the older style USB.
Anyone have a solution?

Hi!
Do you use Android Auto?
Do you enable the connection to your Pioneer?

Thanks for the info - I had not heard about Android Auto. I tried it, and it does not recognize my Pioneer unit. It is not listed either as an accepted or rejected car.
After some experimentation, I found that the problem apparently is in the USB-C. I had thought the phone was commecting via USB, but it was using BT. A. Auto will connect via BT but not by USB.
I tried with USB set for debug or not, for MTP or not, but nada all ways. The Pioneer will not connect via the USB-C. A thumb drive of music with the old style USB connects perfectly, so it is not a defective USB connection in the Pioneer but the C format. HELP!!!
