hey alll, im newbie with roms roots etc, ive been rooting my phone like a year ago and install cm10 everything worked perfect, today ive install other rom, and from this time my phone dont have signal, i tryed to install back the cm10 rom but still, i cant make out calls, no internet nothing... dont know what to do, search all over the internet, and read that maybe my modem as locked, or the imei was locked, i have no idea...
pls HELP

i unrooted the phone and put the stock rom, but it didnt help either.. i guess i need a pro that really understand what to do, i read a post in here about a guy that heppen to him the same and he send a folder to an other guy from xda forums, then he send him back and it fix it, so i guess i need someone who know what to do.... someone ?! pls ?!

now i got my answer..he should have made it a year ago..
please read it..
now since u have asked,
take backup of imei via app galaxy toolbox before flashing kernel and restore imei after flashing..
and reboot..
it should.work...
if that doesn't work then don't hesitate to use search button and search about solution to that problem...
you will surely get solution cause imei is a well discussed problem and may be one of the most common problem after bricking..

I'm using a galaxy s3 gt i9300, android version 4.1.2, baseband version I9300XXEMB6. I currently had installed a custom rom ''Sotmax_Ultimate_Stock_V23_XXUFME7_HD_AR'' I managed to install it but when the network service provider requested the handset configuration (picture shown in the attachment) i clicked ok but then another pop up message appears saying ''temporary error occured in application. please try again later'' (picture shown in the attachment) I thought it was probably the custom rom so i reinstalled the stock rom of galaxy S3 but still the problem is there so until now i have no network connections on my phone .....so if there is anything i can do please help
Just go to your provider website, get the apn settings and enter them manually

i dont think it will work because the network connection is telling me ''Emergency calls only'' and the attachment shows the picture of the device's status
Looks like corrupt imei.....have you had the MG4 modem on your phone?

to tell you the truth i am still new to this stuff about android but when i installed the sotmax v23 romi did select the stock modem instead of selecting no changes to be made on the modem
Try ariza patch . Google it. You need to be rooted and busy box installed

You need to provide details of what modem you are on.....I'd your imei starts 0049.....and it looks like it does, then you have probably at some time had one of the new format modems, so you need that (probably MG4) to get your imei back, unless you have a back up of it which I doubt.

yeah my imei starts with 0049....so how do i get the MG4 to restore my imei
Just flash the modem and all should be back to normal
Please go to general > sticky roll-up thread. In there read the imei / efs thread

Hi guys for like 7 days i have a I9300.....first i flash it with leaked 4.2 from tsar3000,then iv'e downloaded the official 4.1.2 and flash it again with some errors.....after that i repeated the steps with odin.....after the flash was finished my imei was damaged like 0000649 bla bla....iv'e fix it at work with nspro,but now if i flash a diferent rom i have to repair every time the imei even if the imei is shown ok in phone menu with *#06#,if anyone has the same problem and has fix it please share with me the fix.....thx in advance.

Because MG4 roms and higher change your efs partition format if you stick above MG4 then your efs wil stay the same, where as if you go below, you will have to repair it and same goes if you wanna flash above MG4

I upgraded my I9300 to 4.3 and that's when I got the issue where in my WiFi does not work. I tried the ARIZA patch and it resolves the WiFi but my IMEI shows Unknown which causes my S3 not to recognize my SIM card and now a yellow text overlay comes up on my homescreen about my phone details, another thing is that I don't have a Power menu, S3 goes straight off when I press the power button. So I decided to downgrade to 4.1.2 but then again same problem existed which now includes back the WiFi which is not working. Please help.. :crying:

I downgraded to 4.1.2 then re-root it since I lost root after the downgrade.

I tried to flash a stock rom via odin but there's the same problem.
Imei is still fine.
I flashed 4.1.2 with modems and it works now. but i cant flash 4.3 without get this error? WHY?!
the whole stroy is: I changed IMEI in laboratory (they changed it to s2 imei, if this is important), because the Imei didn't work and after that I was trying reflash the SAME rom (HD Revolution) with full wipe and then get this network error.
What I tried:
reflash HD Revolution 51.0 with network error then flashed MG4 Modem that downloaded from somewhere then flashed zuluman patch and get null imei.
flashed stock 4.3 via odin>rooted>flashed custom 4.1.2(Gorgoid rom)+modems (XXDME4, DDEMG2)-didnt work>flashed MG4 Patch again>works.
How can I flash a 4.3 rom without get problems? I'M SICK OF IT!

They changed it because it's didnt work I had no imei or something like that..
