GS4.! Current daily driver. Bought the Ultra last week and returned it to wait on the G2. My rep responded with this.....
"Officially, the G2 status is “Coming Soon”. I’ll look for something slightly more informative"
haha of course that's all they can say. oh well. I hope it's next week. I'm ready to slap down 600+ cash for it lol

Dunno I pre-ordered the Note 3 too lol, had 2 upgrades up. I was never a big fan of the Note series, but my GF loves big screens...so I'll prolly rock the G2 and use the Note 3 a little before giving it to the GF then once November comes the Nexus 5 =), specs wise they're both pretty close, thing about Samsung is TW which I hate, on the S4 TW was soo sluggish compared to AOSP or Sense on my One...Damn being a phone junky.
I love big screens too. I got the Z Ultra but it was too big. Now using Moto X. Great device and fast.

Just like everyone else here I am absolutely loving my note. Hands down the best phone I've had yet. But I was wondering if anyone is curious about the Xperia Z. Watched a few videos, visited the site and just went through the specs. It might not be all around as great as the note 2, but its going to be a close competitor. With the 13 mp camera I am positive I'll be using my upgrade in October to get one, assuming Verizon offers it.

Well I will probably still mostly use my note 2, but I have an upgrade in August. Why not at least use it, try the phone, and if I don't like it i will sell and profit.

No not really, its a sweet lookin phone but the Note 2 is a beast. Also I thought it wasn't coming to Verizon? And I'm hoping the Moto X kills every phone when it finally hits, rumored to be sold on the play store with a low non contract price, killer specs and to be the first real Moto/Google phone since Google bought them and unlockable. I believe this will be my next phone.

LG has came a long way in the past year. A lot of people sleep on their current line of devices, because of their iffy track record. Let it be known that these current flagship devices are superb! I'll have to say that their displays are the best hands down- take a gander at the optimus G, and optimus G pro. You will instantly be mesmerized by it's brilliant display.

Yes, LG is definitely coming into their own and making top notch phones. It's not unprecedented that a company that is famous for making lousy phones, eventually gets it right and puts out top quality handsets. One only needs to look at the original iPhone killer made by Samsung, the Instinct. Samsung used to be the joke of the smartphone world. The G2 will be a great phone.

I'm on Verizon as well but I am off contract. I really don't want to switch to T-Mo but I am thinking about giving them a shot since they don't have contracts. I could come back to VZW but I'd lose my unlimited data. I hate making decisions like this.

From what I heard at best buy today from some lady that was some Verizon district something, you can move your upgrade to another line and upgrade that line. Then at home go to my Verizon and swap the numbers around. I'm pretty torn. I want to jump all over the note 3, but idk. I played with it for like 20 minutes and its pretty awesome.

After much contemplating, I went ahead and purchased G2 from bestbuy. You really couldn't beat that price with gift card.
Tri band LTE was a big factor as well as Note 3's inability to use it as it's primary function. As a phone.
I feel like I'm downgrading as screen is getting smaller but hopefully I will be proven wrong by this phone.
Very much looking forward to it and I hope to receive email like the OP here and receive it early.

I was in your same situation. A two-year commitment to the Note 3's lack of Tri band LTE was a deal breaker. Pre-ordered through best-buy for essentially $57 with the giftcard.
I think I'd enjoy faster LTE speeds and coverage moreso than 0.5 more inches of screen space. Hopefully the LG G2 will hold it's value to make buying the note 4 doable next year.

OP hasn't posted any proof - there's been a few people claiming they have a Sprint variant but so far, there has been no proof that they have it. There's a guy over on Android Central that claims to have it but the pictures show no software and the external back cover he did take pictures of appear to be an AT&T variant...

I'll have some pictures for you. My pre-order is from Sprint rewards me. I'm a technician for Sprint. I would think normal customer pre-orders are going out not too long after I get mine.

I do know of a guy that already has his... Hes here on XDA in the Development part for the G2 and has provided us with the system dump for the Sprint G2 so devs can figure out a root method.
He works for Sprint as well and won it at a training.
I won the G2 in a contest not sure of the storage size or color, but since its free that don't matter. I should get mine next week sometime.

Yea I saw that so when I went to the vzw store they said that's for the non 2yr contract deal but for the month to month not for the device only
