Id like to port some ROMs to p769, could somebody list the changes I'd have to make to make a p760 ROM run on p769?

If possible, could someone do the same for P768 too, we have some porting working thanks to artit. He has worked out what files and build.prop lines to change to get CM based roms to work.

I successfully build CM from source for P768. But there're so many P760 rom that compatible with P768 and they come with some features/performance boot. I'm still new to android dev so I cannot add some modification that other dev may added (or maybe don't know what available to add and config).
I'll post some CM modification here soon for someone who want to build CM for P768. Most things I did is change p760 to p768, remove nfc and create a cyanogenmod_p768_defconfig kernel config file. Then issue cm build command and wait for 2 hours.

Follow this guide - developer.sonymobile.com/2011/05/06/how-to-build-a-linux-kernel/
Download doomlord's toolchain for this. Also I would recommend u to use backtrack as most of the dependencies and needed things are in it. and when ull write deconfig_semc_devicename replace device name with ur device's codename. Also in the commands don't use "none" whereever given. @abcdjdj will soon write a complete guide on this once he has some free time
For any doubts just PM me

Hmm.... I ported some roms to my device[based cm10, Take thacy,(KM-S220)], but I don't know how to port stock roms. I heard that porting stock rom is different from porting cm10 based custom roms.
Anyone can teach me how to port stockroms?
I include my phone's specifications
It updated ICS last year. Amd it's ICS kernel source was opened recently.

Yes, you can install cm based rom for P760 on P768 with camera problem. But for me, I also got wifi problem but may be my wifi adsl modem is too old. Anyways just try it and flash other rom.

Thats good, because I and I believe many other will also appreciate an actual custom rom like CM on a116.

CM11 is too many bugs,I think CM10.1 maybe perfect.
And where is the source of A116?
Thank you.

We don't have CM10.1 because it will have the same (or more) bugs than the current version of cm11 available for our device. CM needs to be compiled from source. The patches will be more or less similar.

Thank for your answer.
And I wonder whether I can port CM11 to my ZTE U956(MT6589) if I don't have kernel source.

Porting CM11 isn't possible without the Kernel source because Kitkat itself requires binder.c patch in kernel. You can look for clone devices or try porting CM10.2. But don't expect a perfect rom because it isn't built for your device. It will have same bugs (or more) that are in the rom you are porting. I recommend looking for clone devices and see of their source is available.

Thank you.But if you make CM10.1 successfully,we chinese will be very happy, because most of Chinese MT6589 phone don't have CM11 or kernel sources. We can't port CM11 to those phones, but CM10.1 can.
Sorry for my bad English
