Cheers
Internal is ext4. Anyway just adb push your backup to /data/media/ and maybe /0 Dont know if you arr using 422 or 421 then just simply restore

I have rooted my HTC Explorer and flashed it with Superuser Rom.
Now i want to flash my device with ics rom.
But it requires sd/ext partition.
I have created one worth 1.27 gb on my 8gb SD card with FAT32 partition.
Link2sd works fine with this sd/ext partition.
But when i try mounting sd/ext from recovery it diplays an error as
Error: Mounting Sd/ext
I have tried with all types of partitions (Ext 2/3/4)
But Ext 2/3/4 is not supported on my device (says Link2SD)
So i have to stick with FAT32
that 2nd partition i created with MiniTool works as a charm with Link2SD (everything works fine)
Help me guys !!!
Same problem here.....

Actually I formatted ext partition from recovery and then it worked. My problem was that I could not add apps to this or mount from recovery.

yeah for sense 4.0 you need to mount SD-ext partition from recovery.
I already tried formatting from recovery but it never worked out for me
factory reset should have done the same.

But, now that I've done from CWM. Can I get my SD partition back? I mean can I merge that 1Gb partition I made into FAT32?

Yes. You can merge the ext partition using MiniTool ...
But why do you wanna do that ? Pico is short of internal memory and you will need sd-ext to increase your internal memory.

and what rom did you restore? this is probably related to android 4.2.2 which moves your sdcard content to /sdcard/0 and when you return to android 4.1 this is not recognized anymore. i think it was in CM 10.1, there's some guide about going back to 4.1, you can try this but i don't know if it helps.
In worst case you maybe have to format you /data partition, but then all your personal data and sdcard content is lost.

had this problem once too, but i was going back to android 4.1 so i don't understand what messed up your /sdcard folder...
what should definately work is completely wiping your phone (all partitions including formatting /data again) and then do a fresh install of your rom using adb sideload. make sure you have the right kernel installed then.
maybe there's another solution, but i did not find any when i had this problem...

So somehow I've managed to lose my Clockworkmod Recovery backup files after having to format /data and /data/media.
I've still got a backup of the internal storage directory on my computer.
Any way I can use it to restore my settings and apps?

Well... From your description
Your CWM backup from internal storage is lost after formating, but you have backup of internal storage on computer.
Then check the backup on computer if there is a folder named "clockworkmod". If yes, then copy it to internal storage and restore it from CWM.
If you don't have that directory, then unfortunately your data looks like gone.
Press Thanks if helped.

Hi, today i flashed CM11 to my S3, I wiped everything, but in settings it says that user available space is just 3.59GB (installed few apps), but all space is 11.35 GB. When I connect phone to PC via USB, PC says that phone memory is 11.3GB , but used space is 7.85GB. There aren't any files, just few, which are about 1.5 MB. Any solutions to have more than 4GB user available space?
P.S. I flashed CM11 from stock 4.1.2

When you say wiped have you done a mega wipe this is not the normal wipe ie you need to format system, data, cache, preload, internel sd card etc.You need to be careful when you do this because it wipes system so make sure you backup everything and have a rom ready on your ext sd card to flash straight after the wipe.

The internal storage is the phone operating system so reflash to restore them. Unless he's talking about the sd card

you are mistaken, operating system itself isnt the internal storage, backup only contains system and data partitions, not internal storage.. and oce a file is deleted, its eleted , thats all, you can never get back even if you restore anything
