Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find it with a search and cannot post in the thread for my rom in original app dev. Does anyone have a solution for the battery drain caused by the NFC chip on 4.3 roms? (I've read that most than just Carbon Rom has this) I have tried freezing NFC / Tags but this doesn't solve the issue and I think the NFC activity keeps my phone from going to fully to sleep. Thanks for any help.

Hello!
Proud owner of a NFC GS2, which seems fitted with PN55 + SIM Card Security, I'm going around and around on forums to look for NFC implementations.
From what i've understood, NFC is currently working on the Nexus S with an Android 2.3.6 or 2.3.7.
I've got a 2.3.5 GS2, NFC enabled with NXP App and various NFC reader/writers working, but Maps NFC and other stuff like FIle Expert NFC File Sharing (P2P or whatever) is missing.
I've seen a test with a CM ROM named Kang-something, but it's reported not working.
Any developer insight about framework, of if this is just about apps, or whatever?
TYVM!
My own answer seems to go towards the SGH I777 phone, that is a I9100P too.
There seems to be an unclear separation between the I9100 and the I9100P in this thread.
SO COOL!

Hi Everyone. I am happy to be a new member of the XDA Developers forum site. I look forward to sharing what i have learned and learning what i have not. So this is my problem. I have flashed the Mokee Rom to my Galaxy note i717r. It has been an amazing experience puttering around the different system configs. However i am a regular Google maps user. I was going to do a search and Mokee did not even give me a chance to search Google maps before it flashed a message saying Google Maps in not working.I have spent some time on different sites (Mokee open source, Offical Android forum, Google + for Mokee, ect.) with no results so far. I even researched the web for a bug fix kernel to splice into my Mokee OS. Nothing yet. It would be a shame to remove it from my Phone after getting to know the system. Please can someone give me a solution.
Is the playstore still working fine? If so, try uninstalling and reinstalling maps.
Still persists anybody has a clue on this?

Have become a fond user of Miracast on my tablet recently so was wondering if there were any original Android ROMs that supported it? I have read that no CM/AOSP ROM supports Miracast but apparently there are work arounds? I am currently on the unofficial CM11 that temasek produced and despite having the Cast Screen option in settings I don't think it can find my device to cast to
Never going back to Touchwiz so if anyone knows any simple KitKat ROMs that Miracast works on that would be great
Thanks
Anyone have any help for me?

Hi,
Upgrading to Android 11 LineageOS, I noticed some issues regarding GPS (a lot of time to fine position on Google Maps and GPS not working in other apps). Searching in this forum, I found the same issues in all Android 11 based custom ROMs.
Has anyone found a solution?
Thank you in advance.
Hello, sorry if I sound rough, but I think you posted this issue in the wrong sub-forum.
I personally haven't had any major issues with gps, maybe there are some gps region profile you could try.
Thanks. I don't know, never had any issue before Android 11 and I see on the forum this is a common thing on beryllium and with this Android version.
