[Q] SIV Series ROM for i777 - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

Does anyone have the SIV Series ROM working on their phones?
I flashed v3 and v3.1 with the Dorimax Kernel 8.39 and the back button does not work.
The ROM is working fine with the kernel, but when I press the home button, it works as the back button.
The back and search buttons are not functional at all.
Does anyone have any fix for this problem? Thanks.
Here is the link to the ROM:

You can't use that kernel, it's for the 9100 only; use AJK kernel for us (or, alternatively, STI 2.34).
But to answer your most basic question, was running the SIV rom awhile ago without issue, using AJK.

Which version of AJK were you using?
I can't use Dorimanx at all for this phone?
I just flashed back to shostock3 and it seems to be working fine.

No, you can't use the Dori kernel because it's built specifically for the i9100. The latest AJK (4.6 as of this writing) is your best bet, plus it's a splinter of the Dori kernel anyway, so in a roundabout way you'll get what you want.

[MOD][UPDATE] XXLPH/XXLPJ/XXLPQ I777 Kernels - Stock and Siyah+My UPDATE MIUI Kernel

I didn't want to have this get lost in my other threads so I decided to make a new one.
These kernel's have the necessary in-call patch to work for our phones. I have attached a flashable zip so you can flash the I9100 ROM (Only for LPH based ROMs) of your choice and then flash this kernel.

Steps
1. Do usual wipes
2. Flash a I9100 ROM that is LPH based (pretty sure it is only Sammy based ROM's right now)
3. Flash my kernel.
4. Flash a Modem from our I777 collection.
4. Reboot.
LPQ ROM's verified working on with LPQ kernel
1. CriskeloServanTeam V05
Sammy ROM's verified working on with stock kernel (Thanks cjsabaki)
1. Wanam lite ics rom (has a phone apk with no noise suppression)
2. ICS resurection (It is flawless, has everything working, including: camera, video, usb, external_sd)
AOSP ROM's verified working on with Siyah kernel (Thanks cjsabaki)
1. MIUI v4
2. CM9
3. AOKP Hydro1.5 ROM
4. Bezke's AOKP build
This does not fix the in-call Noise Suppression issue, that is a modification to Phone.apk so be forewarned

Haven't tried, give it a try let us know.
For the brave... wanam lite ics rom has a phone apk with no noise suppression. And wescrips ics resurection is flawless.
Remember to flash i777 modem of choice after flashing Ktoonsez's kernel.

Ok thanks, I'm staying on AOKP for now
gonna try this out
I'm gonna try this out but want to make sure I flash the correct modem. Where do I get the KJ4 modem that will work for LPH releases? I've found the Modem post in the original development section and the CM9 modems that task650 posted in the CM9 i777 post. I'd appreciate anybody's proper guidance.
I tried Siyah's ICS 3.0alpha3 for just testing fun last night (knowing calls won't work - just playing), and it had a much smoother scrolling/UI screen feel to it. Would it be possible for you (ktoonsez) to combine / share your collected mods on getting the ICS kernel to work on our i777 phones with gokhanmoral, so he could offer up a Siyah version for our phones? Just wondering... thanks... appreciate all you do for us man!

Take your preferred modem from here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361393
Then follow op instructions. Basically, Wipe data, flash ICS LPH rom of your choice, flash gapps, flash this kernel, flash your modem, reboot
FYI, I flashed Westcrip's rom earlier this morning using the above mentioned flashing process without issue. I actually prefer Bezke's AOKP look and feel so I went back

Yes I can hack his kernel so it will work with ours. Looks like he is on alpha 4 now. Does anyone know how to contact him, probably should contact him before doing it?
EDIT:
Whihk ROM or ROM's did you use it on?
Also be aware, since there are no sources yet (direct quote from his site):
Warning: this is not a compiled kernel but only a repack of cfroot kernel. only initramfs part is modified until the sources are out.

Thanks that would be cool if you two could collaborate. I am currently on latest AOKP rom. Alpha 4 (whatever is most current) would be the one to integrate. I am happy to test before you release - just pm me the details. Thanks!

Tried Resurrection and Wanam as well as Cm9 and aokp. I liked the cm9 and akop but no adobe flash support. That's a must for me.
I'm back to Wanam now, it seemed more stable than Resurrection. It's been fun playing with these. Thanks to you guys that have made this possible.
I'll see how this does on battery over the long run now.

[Q] Dual Booting with Siyah, RR 2.6.1 which version of Siyah? + MHL Cable question

Hi i am running RR 2.6.1 not running siyah kernel currently. However im wanting to flash siyah kernel so I can dual boot running a rom that I can use a MHL cable with.
Couple of questions,
Which version of Siyah Kernel should I flash with RR 2.6.1? Will the latest version be OK?
Which ROM is recommended for using MHL HMDI with my S2? Is stock the best option here?

The latest siyah wouldn't work, I believe. You'd need siyah 4.1.5 or lower to run RR 2.6
As far as MHL is concerned, your best bet would be a stock rom. ICS 4.0.3 is preferable.

Probably coz you're using a ROM which has the new Mali drivers. For that use siyah 5.0

Issues with ShoStock3 ROM + Siyah Kernel

Just want to check if anyone here has come across with the following issues...
I recently flashed my SGS2 with ShoStock3 ROM (big thanks to shoman94) + Siyah kernel (big thanks to gokhanmoral). It runs smoothly and seems to have no noticeable issues. However, I noticed these three issues after some go through:
1. Shostock custom boot animation doesn't run at start up. I tried to change the bootanimation.zip using the Root Explorer, but nothing happened.
2. Microphone (when using Google Now voice and Viber) doesn't work. I looked through every settings and found nothing's wrong except that.
3. I can't take a video using the video feature in Instagram, which I didn't bother to check how come.
What I did was reboot my phone into recovery and re-flashed only the ShoStock3 ROM. After I restarted the phone, shostock boot animation showed up and I tested voice feature in Google Now and it worked. Then, I tried the video feature in Instagram and voila, it worked too.
I'm not really sure if they are directly caused by Siyah kernel, therefore, I ask if anybody here has come across with these similar issues. I really like the Siyah kernel coz of CWM and STweaks and I'm wanting to revert to that if I find a resolution to the above issues.
My hardware details:
Samsung Galaxy S II AT&T SGH-i777
Version 4.1.2
Baseband i777UCLK3
ROM ShoStock3 XWLSD v2.5.1
Kernel (Present) Jeboo
Kernel (affected) Siyah Kernel v7.9
The kernel u were trying to use is for the i9100.
The kernel to use is AJK 4.9 MicSwap, found in the Development forum. It is for the i777. Link --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=36993409

Dual booting

hey guys, just signed up so please excuse my ignorance if this has been answered, redirected previously.
ive been using slimbean as my daily driver and love it without any problems. but for work i require something with slightly better battery management hence through my research it seems like 'ressurection remix' rom would be a good bet.
i currently use a s2 i9100 and wish to dual boot slimbean (as main) and ressurection remix (as secondary).
i understand siyahs latest kernel has issues with dual booting so with perhaps the older one 'SiyahKernel S2-v5.0.1', my question would this be possible ?
or perhaps a different kernel... again.. this is new to me and i would appreciate any direction or advice. i appreciate dual booting is always under construction...
thank you..
*zem
(would prefer a response before i start flashing stuffs, please dont question the why but i am seeking the howto)
unsucessfull
flashed siyahs latest beta kernel following the instructions....
flashed kernel.
booted cwm
setup second rom
installed second rom
reboot
home key, selected second rom... blank screen.
not working for me. ( if that had of worked i was going to swap first and second roms because after installing the siyahs kernel slimbean failed to boot. (blank screen after siyahs logo).
will try previous version..... i believe if this fails i will have to wait for siyah to 'fix' dualboot as is said in his latest beta. please correct me if i am wrong.
To be able to boot 4.2 and 4.3 you need dorimanx kernel. That would be 9.xx version. For JB 412 you need 8.4x version. Dorimanx is the kernel to use IF you dualboot newer Roms.

first flash siyah latest v6.0b5 and then flash the latest dorimanx kernel using the cwm.
Dorimanx is the best bet and would easily dual boot the roms you mentioned
Flash the latest dorimanx kernel v9.43 and you wil be good to go
Gud luck mate
awesome kernel
guys. dorimanx kernel worked perfect. flashed it, booted it.... installed resurrection as second rom.... thank you so much.

If siyah kernel is stock based then it should be compatible. Try to make a backup to be sure and then flash the kernel, else just reflash neatrom

Here is a better answer. YES! Use siyah kernel 6 beta5 for neatrom (stock based). However, I'd advise that you should try a different kernel such as the included Apollo kernel since siyah kernel has stopped development and you will have to use dorimanx kernel for a more updated kernel. So I'd use Apollo kernel.
