[Q] microUSB flap - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to ask where could I buy a new microUSB flap as my current one has been broken?
It is quite easy to find one for the xperia z phone but not for the tablet.
Best regards and thanks for any help.

I Need help finding accesories Xperia Tablet S

Hi guys I'm new to the Sony tablet forum. I was lucky enough to win a Sony Xperia Tablet from a competition held by Sony.
Well I kinda won the old Sony tablet but because the delivery of that one took so long. Sony were kind enough to give me the new Sony XPERIA tablet. Awesome right ?
Anyway I'm kinda looking for some Sony Xperia Tablet S Accessories which are not too expensive because the accessories on the Sony page seem a little too expensive. I tried looking on amazon but failed to find anything.
Accessories I'm looking for:
Any type of case doesn't have to be original
Some kind of screen protector
Hdmi output wire thing
Plug to USB output thing (sorry have no idea what the original names are)
So basically I want everything that's on the Sony page but cheaper versions.
If anyone could link me to some that would be great.
Thanks

[Q] Charging with the case on?

Has anyone come across a way of using the charging pins without removing the case:fingers-crossed:?
I wish I had one of those 3D printers. It would be easy to make a clamp with a couple of pins.
With the official case? I just have to let it opened
homemade
I made charging cradle myself from polystyrene and old usb cable for sony ericsson, and I can charge my tablet with the poetic case on :good:
No need of 3D printer

Now looking at it, I realized I had to extend the pins from the cable with those little 'pins', using classic "soldering iron?" ( not sure about this word, I had to google it  ) because the pins of the tablet in the case were to high, then I thaught at first
And the whole 'body' is just covered with tesa tape - dont want to have polystyrene everywhere

Magnetic chargers

I've had my Z Ultra for some time now and I'm thinking of getting a magetic charger. I did get a cheap one some time ago which wasn't embedded in a stand but just sat directly on the contacts on the side of the phone. Unfortunately it would fall off at the slightest movement. I've recently spotted chargers with stronger magnets which are a lot more robust for the Sony Zs but couldn't find one for the ZU. Does anyone know where I might be able to find one for the ZU without having to use the dock and with a decent charge rate.
Cheers
I think all of them are cross compatible across all Xperia phones, I have bought one of them from AliExpress and it was originally meant for Xperia Z2 but it fits my ZU perfectly. Just yeah, don't buy the cheapest ones, it should cost about 6-9 dollars, the best ones are these with the charging indicator led, they have really nice magnets. I will add a link tomorrow.
Regards
Yes I was wondering that. A link would be appreciated, thanks

Amazon (UK or USA) I've found to be really good and I'd agree the LED one's espec with the metal connectors are the best one's as they also tell you the right way to connect them
So you think any of these would do the ZU?
Magnector X
Magnector X-202
New Magnector X2
Cheers

Broke my Z2 SIM card cover flap

Hey guys,
I recently broke my Z2's flap which is covering the SIM card and USB hole.
I was wondering if there's any differences between the flaps if I order from ebay?
I looked up the search queries with "xperia z2 port cover original" the cheapest was around 6$. Is this the sure thing to get?
I want it to seem as original as possible..
Also I broke my tempered glass + the shell case, need to order those too xD But I can manage finding those.
Looking for replies :good:
Well my sim card flap broke
I ordered one from aliexpress and it seems to be perfect
The replacement flap is composed of slightly more plastic but you wouldn't notice this difference even if you held them both in your hands (without close inspection). EBay replacement will be fine. Don't pay extra for the 'genuine' version that's higher priced than the rest because it'll be the same thing.
Thanks guys. Ordered the cheapest one from ebay.. We'll see how well that works out.

Does someone sell a Nvidia Shield Tablet K1 magnetic cover?

Hello,
I'm looking for someone who has the magnetic cover from nvidia (the one with only a front flap and magnetic mounts on the side) who doesn't need it anymore and is willing to sell it.
Thanks!
Kind regards,
Nexive
Try searching Amazon for "ProCase-NVIDIA-Shield-Ultra-Tablet". I think this is the one I have on mine.
