Since ur have a locked bootloader and ur Hboot is 1.40 i dont think u can get out of this without unlocking ur bootloader......
u have to unlock ur bootloader and install custom recovery after that u can flash any Stock nandroid backup(since u have S-OFF) and to get the OTA update flash the stock kernel and recovery then relock ur bootloader.....
that will get u back to stock...
u can refer this post for Unlocking the bootloader
and for TWRP Nandroid backup of stock 4.2.2 here

if you are s-off'd you can lower the hboot to revert to a different version of android
you need a lower hboot img file
fastboot flash hboot hboot.img
and likely the radio to go with
fastboot flash radio radio.img
DO NOT DO THESE UNLESS YOU ARE 10000% SURE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING

Prerequisites : android development kit windows and Nandroid backup
download all the files from the post I had mentioned
connect ur phone to PC when on TWRP(recovery mode)
make sure ur device is recognized
do "adb devices"
This will show ur device serial no XXXX as in recovery
do "adb shell" that will enter ur phone storage (exclude the quotes in all the commands)
do "mkdir sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/XXXX/stock" this will create a directory as stock on the following path(replace XXXX with ur device serial number copy from the above result "adb devices")
now do "exit"
u ll be back on platform-tools folder
unzip the nandroid backup u have downloaded and put it in platform-tools folder now push those files one by one using adb push
"adb push system.ext4.win sdcard/TWRP/BACKUPS/xxxxxxx/stock"
like wise replace the system.ext4.win with all the files u had extracted from the zip
wipe all dalvik, system, cache, and data excluding ur internal storage(don't wipe internal storage which will wipe all the data u have copied)
now go to Restore on TWRP and u ll find the folder stock then just swipe to restore it
once u have done it
reboot to bootloader
flash the kernel from the zip just rename the boot.emmc.win to boot.img and
enter this command
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"
"fatsboot erase cache"
unplug ur device
now reboot ur phone
IT MUST BOOT :good:
The other way of doing is to flash some custom ROM and after that copy the unziped nandroid backup folder to TWRP backup and flash it from recovery

and flash the kernel

Hello all , well I had it working great, used the HTC unlock procedure, because i`m at 1.50 HBOOT S-ON "Unlocked" ... installed the manual recovery, then flashed it with FRESH 4.1 for 3D, it seemed fine, then I got into installing apps...... and it glitched on me and went into this reboot cycle....
Guess I did`nt wipe it right or something, because all it will do is turn on and say "FRESH" then reboot and does the same.....
I downloaded the stock RUU and it fails says" error recovery failed" I have tried everything and spent hours on this 1....
Is there anyone out there with a Nandroid Backup file ?
is that what I need ? i`m screwed here....
ANY guidance would be greatly appreciated

You can't run a RUU if your still unlocked you have to relock your phone to do that..
What you need to do is place a copy of your recovery.img in your adb folder
plug your phone into the computer start adb.
Go to hboot...
Now type fastboot boot recovery.img
now wipe everything other then your sd card and then flash rom your good to go...

I never make backups lol waste of space to me lol... I use clockwork mod 4.0 version works for me all the time... Whatever you are using as a recovery just make sure you have a copy of the recovery.img by recovery I mean the program you flashed the rom with put that img in your adb folder
Use adb to fastboot boot recovery.img
This method saves you from having to pull the boot.img from the rom each time you flash..
Ever get this fixed? Seems like a noob mistake but could be easily avoided taking the proper precautions.
Using 4ext recovery , i did "format all partitions(except sd card)".then when tried to on it it stuck on the logo screen.
i tried to format it becos it used to restart after every 7 or 8 hrs .
My amaze is rooted. It runs on STOCK ROM GB.
but it is even now booting into 4EXT recovery mode if i press vol.down button + power button.
But if i try to reboot d fone now using 4EXT it is again stuck on HTC LOGO.
I do not want to flash any custom ROM now...Now how can i recover it back to Stock rom atleast?
Pls Help..!!
Device is S-ON but bootloader unlocked and Phone Rooted.!

Oh..I found from one of your posts that the amaze asian ruu is
"RUU_Ruby_hTC_Asia_WWE_1.60.707.3_R_Radio_1.13.550L .13DC_30.69b.550L.101_release_253820_signed.exe"
So if i download this and flash this ROM in a same way like i did before would this re-solve the issue.??? Becos S-OFF'ing and then flashing firmware is tedious for me ...So i would better prefer the first case..
SO once again i have to Format,Wipe everything ,then place the .exe in SD card and choose "install from SD card" in 4-ext flash enabled recovery....am i rite atleast now????? Pls help...!

No this time it's alot difference this is a RUU (rom+firmware) .. you have to lock your bootloader and be in your bootloader and connect your phone to the PC make sure your htc drivers are installed and double click the exe file n follow the instructions
(back up your internal SD card cuz the ruu will format your whole phone every single file)

Sorry for the late reply...So If i lock my bootloader and run the .exe file and follow the instructions...will tat resolve my re-start issue??
Pls let me know if the steps r rite....I have installed htc drivers and android sdk package. Then
USB debugging mode enabled
boot it into Bootloader mode
Select ‘fastboot’ option from the Bootloader selection menu and then press Power to load the Fastboot mode.
Next, connect your device to PC using the USB cable
.
Launch the Command Prompt on your computer.(((((((((((((((((((((Pls help me here...i have read that i should navigate to the android folder here i,e the folder containing adb.exe sumtthin like that....I dono how to navigate there.....)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
Enter this command "fastboot device" and make sure that the phone’s serial number appears after entering it:
Now, in order to relock the bootloader, you will need to enter the following command line: fastboot oem lock
When the phone’s bootloader tells you that the bootloader has been locked you will have to restart the device into Fastboot mode once again.
Now, launch the HTC RUU executable file on your computer.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
I hope the on-screen instructions are simple.....SO will the above solve my re-start problem or will i have to do more?????? pls help...

If you can access your phone via fastboot then you can revive it pretty quick.
If you cannot, then...... no need to say it
here are the steps to follow if you can use fastboot:
first of all you should prepare your files; you need the drivers for the device, adb and fastboot executable files, a ROM of your choice with the proper boot.img. Once you got those put them in one folder and proceed.
enter bootloader mode (volume down + power)
select fastboot mode
plug your usb cable to your PC
open a cmd window and navigate to your fastboot directory and execute this command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
now you should push a downloaded ROM to your internal sdcard with this command: adb push *here your ROM name.rar or .zip* storage/sdcard0/
if you get an error of not copying, the add a folder for example storage/sdcard0/Download/ or storage/sdcard0/DCIM/
then you can enter recovery and flash your ROM, you should do a wipe and install, then wipe cache and then reboot.
This should put your phone to work with whatever ROM you install, then to get to stock is another process which includes relocking the bootloader.
Please update so I can give you any more help.
NOTE: any rom you download should be compatible with your CID, check it via fastboot with this command: fastboot getvar cid. Also try to download ARHD from mike1986, in his thread you can find compatible CID. If not try to look for a rom compatible with your CID
Hello JoHnGr0n3,
i have same problem.
in phone was stock ROM, unlock bootloader, TWRP 2.6.1.0 (no nandroid backup )
After installing the official update 4.2.2. cant reboot system only white screen with HTC logo
i tried flash Revolution ROM with yours tutorial...
flash via fastboot
boot.img copied and flashed - OK
but i cant copied any file to "SD" card i used command: adb push Revolution.zip storage/sdcard0/DCIM and wrote me: error device not found
any ideas how to copy ROM on storage?
ENRC2B_U

Im sorry for my bad English
If you have a zip (rom) file on your pc you can ADB sideload it. and pull out the boot.img of the rom. install the rom. read the fourth post of this

Hi, I recently purchased an HTC ONE Carrier unlocked AT&T and this is my first ever android phone. I wanted to get rid of the bloatware so by online guides i rooted the phone somehow but i want to unroot it again since its getting too technical for me to handle the weird updates for this SuperSU thing it restarts my phone when i try to update it. I want to unroot the device by any means and bring it to stock, i donot have the stock firmware with me which is 1.26.502.10, it seems there is also something called the modelid and cid which have to match, i donot even know how to flash things or what does it even mean. Can someone please respond with a highly detailed unrooting process for my phone as its just been a week since i bought this phone and im regretting messing with it. Would be a huge favor to me thanks.

well your only other option that i know of is to run a full Retail Update Utility (RUU)
from the bootloader what is your hboot version and firmware version ?
Edit I re-read your first post .. if you are on 502.10
you can run this RUU to get you phone back to stock
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22964708692722204
I assume you have fastboot on your pc and know how to use a command prompt?
you need to relock your bootloader to run the RUU
the commands are
Fastboot oem lock
then the RUU will run and completely wipe your phone

Rom.zip >> https://mega.co.nz/#!yNQlFJKb!aTXDHQRG0mcv3htWOHjnYxpExjB5dT7HdkuNxCtSVyo
here are some directions to flash "rom.zip":
Quote:
if youre working with a booted, operational phone, you can flsh the file in the following manner:
-open a cmd window
-change to adb/fastboot directory
cd c:\foldername
-place the zip file you want to flash into adb/fastboot directory
-enable usb debug, disable fastboot, plug in phone
-check for connectivity
adb devices (should return serial number)
-boot to fastboot
adb reboot bootloader
-check for connectivity again
fastboot devices
-flash the file
fastboot erase cache
fastboto oem rebootRUU (will put you in ruu mode, black screen silver htc letters)
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip (will send and flash the file. dont interupt it while the cmd window shows its writinging, and the green status bar is moving on the phone screen)
*sometimes a file will fail with a pre-update error. this is normal, just enter again:
fastboot flash zip zipfilename.zip
and this time it will finish
-when you get "finished" and "OK"
fastboot reboot-bootloader (takes you back to fastboot)
-reboot back to the OS
fastbooot reboot
you can use this if you dont have an operational phone as well. you just need to manually put the phone in fastboot(select from hboot menu) then skip the "adb" commands and start with fastboot devices
to answer your other question, yes, you will need to re-unlock and re-install recovery after running the RUU. an ruu is designed as an "unroot" solution, or emergency fix,if other attempts have not made the phone operational.

If you do have a GPe DO NOT FLASH AN FTF it will result in a permanent hard brick. Look for DooMLoRD's return to stock thread in GPe development section, it will return you to stock 4.4.2 and then you can let it update from there.
Thank you I will give that a try and post back results

I must apologize for giving out bad advice. Stock recovery will not allow flashing older firmware.
I think what may be possible is flashing the 4.4.4 system IMG with fastboot. Maybe @egzthunder1 or @blueether will be nice enough to offer some better advice.

Is it bootlooping or just stuck?
You should be able to flash a 4.4.4 system image
Instructions would be:
Download system_4.4.4.7z from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799423
Extract the system_4.4.4.img
Code:
fastboot flash system <path_to_system_4.4.4.img>

Again I apologize for posting without refreshing my memory by looking up the older threads. There was two issues with my first post.
1. Stock recovery will not allow flashing older firmware as I mentioned.
2. There is an edited ota zip but it needs to be flashed with custom recovery, which I believe can only be used with an unlocked bootloader.
Hopefully fastboot flashing the system img does the trick.

You need the whole path ex. C:\user\icotulookn\downloads\4.4.4 system img.
I am positive I found the file and was able to copy and paste the path into adb, not sure if that works for fastboot.

I havent used windows (if I can help it) for near 15 years but something like
fastboot flash system C:\system_4.4.4.img
"remote:command not allowed" is probably because of the locked BootLoader, I thought that may happen
Do you know what the fole you deleted was? you may be able to adb push it back onto the system if the GPe boots far enough.
The only other options I can think of are:
Ask Sony for a singed update.zip of the full 4.4.4 (no patch files) so it can be flashed by the stock recovery
Or use adb to do an oem unlock* - but this will wipe DRM keys and render the camera without auto focus
* You could try and run TA backup, but I think it will fail to gain root to do the back up... can you get shell access to the device? "adb shell"
Gonna suggest something off the left field, but if you have access to stock recovery... Have you tried doing a full wipe? I mean, unless ypu royally messed something up elsewhere, flashing system would give you the same end result as a full wipe.
Hopefully this helps.

Some things I am wondering.
1. Can 5.0 update be flashed in stock recovery or would.it fail due to missing files?
2. Can a kernel with recovery be hotbooted to flash the edited 4.4.2 ota?
3. Can the 4.4.4 system img be flashed with flashtool?
4. Is there a fastboot command similar to "adb devices" that will confirm it is connected properly?
I swear that I had the same error trying to return GPe to stock using WIN 8.1 laptop, on WIN 7 desktop it worked fine.

1. Yes it can but you need to place the zip file in a folder that recovery will recognize (/cache or /sd)
2. Technically yes. However, you still need to be unlocked for that AFAIK.
3. I don't see why not
4. Flashtool will confirm if you have a properly connected devices
There are two rules in life for being successful:
1. Never reveal everything you know;
2.
