Question about kernels - AT&T LG Optimus G

I am confused about kernels, are they interchangeable and not dependant on what phone you are using and how do revert back to a previous kernel?

Will we have voodoo kernel?

I saw Optimus 2x has the Voodoo kernel and it can enhance the sound quality. O2x is also using same chip as our device. So, will the developers have any chance to develop a Voodoo kernel?

Maybe if you want to donate your phone to them so they can have a dev phone.

Rom/Kernel decision help

Just got my DNA a few weeks ago and have been trolling the forums for a bit to decide what I want to do. So far it looks like either viper or hatka roms and cubed or elkays kernel. Does anyone have an opinion on which combination is "best" or suggestions for other roms or kernels to look into? I like heavy customization, battery life, and performance.

For heavy customization is go for viper.
And cubed has s2w, and many other little tweaks in it, so I'd go with that if I were you.

Does viper already haver cubed as default?

No. I believe it has dsb's stock with /system writing.

Strange that it would support s2w but not include a kernel that supports it.

Not strange at all. Stock kernels are in most cases more reliable and have the least amount of changes or experiments done with them!
I would rather have the option there for if and when I do decide to change kernels. Which I have because I am such a bad ass

Custom kernels

Do the International custom kernels work for our device? If do which one is a good one?
