Xperia tablet S ,broken screen ,need help - Sony Tablet S

So my 7years daughter drop down the tablet and broke the screen in 2-3 places ,still work but i must fix it..
Sony service here is asking me 400 Euros :crying:
Could somebody help me where i can find the part its self ,or a clone of the tablet ?

Εμένα η οθόνη μου γέμισε γρατσουνιές από ένα ηλίθιο stylus που αγόρασα, μου είπαν ότι είναι ένα κομμάτι οθόνη-τζάμι οπότε πρέπει να την αλλάξω ολόκληρη και ζητάνε 350+ ευρώ, τους έβρισα βέβαια, μόνο στο e-bay και στο amazon ίσως να βρεις κάτι.... με μια γρήγορη αναζήτηση πάντως βρήκα το τζάμι σκέτο αλλά είναι άχρηστο χωρίς την οθόνη....... Αν καταλήξεις κάπου πες μου σε παρακαλώ.

She broke the lcd or the digitizer, cause digitizer you can find it for 30 dollars (us)

We are not sure yet ..i gave it yesterday to local Sony Service so they gonna let me know soon ,hopefully its only the digitizer because the screen works and response ..do you have a link for the digitizer because i only find for the the Sony Tablet S and not for the Xperia tablet S ?

Unfortunately you can't change the digitizer, it is glued on the screen so you need screen and digitizer, separate or glued!

Thats what they told you? Sony doesnt play lol but sorry to hear that. Just try to buy a new one or used one or eBay. I bought mines for $240

Same problem here since May. Dropped tablet, broken digitizer, tablet still works fine, Sony asked for 300+ €. They claim they cannot change the digitizer without also changing the screen. What a stupid design feature and what a pity because the tablet was really good. Sony support for it was quite lame, in fact non existent. Sony is famous for extremely bad after sales support. If anyone finds a solution please post. I would also be willing to buy a bricked or burnt tablet with a good screen.

Same situation and i can confirm that the digitizer goes with the screen together ,what a shame ..we should collect and send some complains to the company ,Kosta if you want please pm me

Yup, my bad sorry. Yes, for the digitizer to be replaced it has to have a very long and extensive procedure, best to just get a new tablet
Sad to see an android device not work tho :crying:
