Hey folks!
Has anyone experienced the time lagging behind? Everything I set the time correctly, after a few hours, the time will be 5 or so minutes late.
Any suggestions on how to remedy this?

I had similar problem, but my clock would get out of sync by 5+ hours. The newest firmware (4.1.1 revision 2) has fixed this issue for me. This firmware can also be rooted using motochopper or Condi's AIO tool.

I had similar problem, but my clock would get out of sync by 5+ hours. The newest firmware (4.1.1 revision 2) has fixed this issue for me. This firmware can also be rooted using motochopper or Condi's AIO tool.[/QUOTE]

Yea my tablet is like ten mins slow I even set the time my self I thought the problem was the time give by network but its dropped five mins over the day today bit stuipd that I had no issues before untill the r2 came along and the update even said it was to primarily to fix issues of clock not displaying properly. Once again sony have ****ed this tablet up by poor programming and poor beta testing well done sony well done

ive had my s3 for 3 weeks now, its been rooted but still running stock rom. today i experienced a reboot when i received a text message and this is the third time, each time prior to the device rebooting it vibrates for a long time i.e maybe 5 seconds instead of 2 secs, has anyone had anything similar happen to them? or is my device faulty?

I would return to stock see what happens .

Nope. Nothing like that has ever happened to mine.
Never rebooted using system Apps but plenty times with others, and that's the developer's fault not Samsung's.
I wonder if a third party app may be causing it? It only reboots randomly on a incoming message. I usually know it's going to reboot due to the long vibration.

Yeah have you installed any other Apps that can send or monitor received SMS?
Mine rebooted a couple of times in the first few days of use. (unrooted stock ROM)
Never had any since though.
My friend got an S3 2 days ago and he told me he's been experiencing random reboots !!! His phone is on stock rom and ain't rooted yet !!!

Only whatsapp, but I doubt that is causing it. I've cleared data in applications for the messaging app, so going to see if that helps, thanks for the replies, at least IM not the only one having issues, I read on another thread someone having similar issues when using the phone and a SMS arrived, his phone would freeze.
People that are not experience reboots are you using custom roms, and if so which do you recommend? If I have to send it back to Samsung, will flashing stock ROM and using triangle away prior to flashing ROM be enough to get warranty back again?

the only times mine has rebooted has been during unstable high overclocks.
the rest of the time it's solid as a rock.
I get some kind of reboot on my device it just goes black then says android upgrading havent a clue why. I'm on stock rooted sim free s3

That means there's an App flashing something to Root and rebooting your phone, it happened to me with a cracked version of Rom toolbox pro so I uninstalled, and I'm not sure but that might add to your flash counter every time so you want to find out what's causing it.
Nope, mines been fine, even undervolted.
Ok I finally figured it out, it was nova launcher causing the freezes, using touchwiz no freezes when sms arrive.

I have had the long vibration then a reboot a few times, had my phone a few weeks too, rooted and running different roms, only been happening the last few days.
I have a flash count of 9, so nothing too heavy.
Unrooted and went back to stock and then rerooted and installed villainrom.
Just had my first reboot about 5 mins in.
Hi guys sorry to bother but there's an annoing issue going on:
_the phone: rooted xperia active,stock 2.3 with .62 fw and 2.9 rage kernel.
_the issue: when inactive, phone randomly reeboots,mostly when in pocket [never while using so far].All started a few days ago after installing a few new apps,i pulled the phone out of pocket and it was booted in temporary debugging mode.i rebooted and all the widgets went bananas.replaced them,and since every time i take it out of pocket it's askin for pincode.never rebooted overnight while chargin!also the calendar app would crash every launch.
_Solutions attempted; wipe data/cache and dalvik.uninstalled one of the above apps(it had root access,the other 2 are games…)and the semc.calendar.nothing worked…also i am experiencing major unusual batt drainage...
Any help will be much appreciated,thanks in advance.

Probably one of your newly installed app goes haywire.
Is there a log where i can see what is causing the reboot?i haven't done backup for a couple weeks and wold like to solve the exact issue without full wipe and recovery backup...the apps i didnt uninstall are popular (alchemy,doors and a.b.space)could it be one of these?ran virus check,only a trojan in winamp but pretty sure it's a fake positive...

I have the same problem with my xperia mini pro sk17i on stock firmware 4.0.4 from sony. I update my phone few times with OTA and Flashtool and thats don't helps.
Now I have rom Icshybrom v2 and all works perfectly.
I also did ics update last week but reverted back to gb the next day,i don't think the rom or krnl have anything to do,phone worked fine up to 2 days ago!

Little update:uninstalled all recent apps,the problem remains...if one of the apps was faulty wouldn't the phone reboot also when using it?it ALWAYS happens when in idle!this morning i unplugged the phone from charger,put it in pocket and 2minutes later was rebooted with battery at 91%!(no usage at all!checked 4 missed calls and sms and that's it).yesterday it rebooted twice and then was fine for 12hrs,sometimes it does it 4 times in 1hr,it's completely random,just never happens when using the phone...

This happends only all times in pocket? Imo just make sure if is not some hw problem with contacts for battery and try shake up with mobile :-D

Maybe there is something in your pocket that makes your phone randomly rebooting...try to leave it on a desk for a few hours to test it whether it is rebooting or not

Ok after a few days of investigations i can now affirm that the rebooting occurs 99.9% of the time when there's no signal at all. I'll try with a new sim card and see how that goes

i will try that thank you..is there a specific rom i should try or is any official rom good? because the problem started after i did a downgrade from 4.0.3 to 2.3.4
I flashed a new rom on 21-Jul-2012, no mods or apps or anything since then and all of sudden last night 23-Jul-2012 i started getting the screen lag (vid attached below)
I have tried four different roms today with full factory/data reset and still have this issue. In the vid im only clicking the section once and quickly, as you will see the blue highlght stays for 1-2 secs before going into the section.
Has anyone had this issue before?

I wouldve thought that it wasnt an issue as well fenjen, but it only started happening on 23-Jul-2012, not that the date matters, but I have accessed the settings area a fair bit in the past and this time it was def more laggy.
Just to let people know in the UK that 4.2.2 OTA update is now live.

If people have still not received the 4.2.2 OTA update, try disabling (location services) I've never turned mine on at all. I'm no expert but give it a try. Mine showed up last night at exactly 8.30 pm GMT.

It's not based on location. People have been reporting the upgrade here on the west coast U. S. Since the 11th. My son just got it on the 13th for his n10, my n10 still has nothing as does his n4 and the wife's n7. Who knows the order of the rollout.....???? Seems like they really have it throttled back.... 3 days in the same area and some have it and others don't.

Will give it some more time , already manually installed it on mine cant be bothered doing it on the missus's though in case i bork it.

Go to settings>apps>all>Google Services Framework>clear data>force stop then check for an update. It should say last checked 1970.
Repeat until the update appears. It will appear eventually using this method.
I just cleared data and rebooted straight away.. Update came through!

Hi, as the title says, my snap chat videos aren't lasting 10 seconds. In fact, they barely reach past 1/2 seconds most the time. Anyone have the same problem?

had the same problem first with cm then temasek.
then i installed paranoid android and had same problem, til i started halo and then some magic happend and now my snapchat works. but sometimes they say my videos are black. and the autofocus on the back camera wont work.
**** next time i will never buy anything other than nexus if i want to use roms...
Hmm. I'm using OMNI ROM nightlies. All was good on stock ROM. However, on my previous phone (HTC Sensation) I flashed a jelly bean ROM instead of the Stock ROM and had the same problem. Maybe snapchat has a problem with non stock ROMs?

I'm on completely stock galaxy s 4.rooted but stock.
My videos are lasting 4 seconds. I emailed them but never got a response.
