[PC] Run Android Apps on Windows

Yo guys,
Nothing really new: a quick search on xda and I can see that this has been posted at a few places already.
But still...
- Have you ever wanted to show your dad what your magic phone does for you?
- Have you ever wanted to test drive an Android app before actually installing it on your phone?
- Ever got stuck without your phone and you miss your favorite 0-gravity game?
Well, problem solved!: test drive BlueStacks' Android App Player beta-1 for Windows.
All you need is an e-mail address, choose if 'you have a phone' or not [can sync your phone apps automatically -I'd suggest you to use a trial email address with the "I have no phone option" first...] and go enjoy your new gigantic smartphone on your big screen
Take that pads!!
The default installer is 3.6Mb in size, but there is also a ~100Mb .msi installer available [see pic 1].
Windows XP users might also what to make sure that they have Windows Installer v4.5 installed prior to BlueStacks' Player installation.
Hope you enjoy as I do.
Cheers.
I read about this a few months ago but never found it again. I missed the idea so much!... ^^… Thanks a lot dude!!
CM7 + CM9 double boot
Np - you're welcome.
Well this one ain't too old; it was officially released less than 24 hours ago..
Still a little limitted with some demanding apps (3D, maps, ...) and Hello Ads!
But still, has it uses...
For windows phones and tablets owners probably even a little more...
I read that microsoft was very interested in the project and maybe planned to buy it. Imagine if windows phones had access to the android application ecosystem? Big-time money for them. Even i would think about leaving android for WP if it happened
CM7 + CM9 double boot
Did someone of you manage to use the phone contacts in whats app on pc?
Gesendet von meinem MB525 mit Tapatalk
I've installed it, it's good but unfortunatly i can't play any of those good gameloft games x). Playing Modern Combat 3 online with a mouse and the keyboard would have been awesome ^^
thanks it's awesome
haw....greetings from the forest, been a long time my friend.
good thing you posted this..this is a good find, since ive been bugged by my wife to have that stupid chat bot "simsimi" on her little netbook... i might try this & get her off my android...
Even Blackberry OS for Android allows it now through Emulators with their latest update
android sdk
Install android SDK and run your Android App in the Emulator in Eclipse(I am application dev)

[Q] Using Dosbox Turbo on new SIII

Hi guys,
I've just made the switch from iPhone to the Galaxy SIII and am loving the ride so far. I'm a big fan of the old school type games and have been reading up on how to play them on my new phone. Dosbox Turbo is the way forward I believe! So, I've downloaded the program as well as the manager. But I have one problem. How do I get games from my Mac (or PC) to work on Dosbox. As in, do I just hook up my phone and move the games into a created folder on it? Is it that simple? Also, what files does dosbox need to read? The ISO? As you can see I'm a complete noob in regards to anything Android currently and any information or a tutorial would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers!

DosBox Turbo Getting Started FAQ
If you've never used DosBox before, you should also read the DosBox Getting Started Wiki
Basically, you get the DOS games you want from the internet (GOG, etc) and then unzip and download to a folder on your SD card on your Android Device. Then using DosBox Turbo (or better yet, use the DosBox Manager and create a profile) start your game. Be aware that you may have to run the game's setup.exe utility to change the game's parameters.
Cheers for the reply. A follow up question though. Do you need an SD Card to run the dosbox games or can you use the phones internal memory? Also, if I have the original disc of the game I want to run (I've checked on dosbox to see if its compatible) can I just copy all the files from the disc and use those to run the game(s)?
Ok, so I have been reading up on DosBox and have tried installing and running a couple of games with little success. I thought if I tried running it on my mac first and then moving the files over to my phone once successful would be the best bet but I am still yet to get a game to work on my mac! Bah...
I've done a little hunting for DosBox Turbo guides and or videos but they seem to be very limited. I've also tried contacting the Dev but have had no reply in a week which a little annoying. Sorry to ask again but does anyone know of a tutorial I could follow to install a game via DosBox Turbo so I can follow and learn from it?

DosBox requires significant setup, and if you are a noob, you should also read the DosBox Wiki. Once you get DosBox Turbo setup properly, it works like a charm.
Here's a video on how to use the excellent DosBox Manager add-on. Here's a video on how to setup and use the Gamepad Keyboard.
Contact the dev again. He may have missed your e-mail. I'm sure he's getting many e-mails a day. He's always replied back to me quickly.

[Q] Bluestacks and Android-x86-4.4-RC1 Issue

Hi everyone..
This is a second account,i cant gain info on my first but i kept info on this second account..
I read topics an scope the crazy things this website offers..
I need some answers/help please.
1.i have a simple desktop i use for now an run blue stacks on it for android..
It manage games well enough but every update to a game called jungle heat it lags.
i tried cleaning the game data from within bluestacks app settings,,defragging bluestacks data folder from the hardware itself an so on..
If someone can help me on this please do...
Because of my issue above,,i did some heavy ready but no good results an i am a bit tired.
i have tried other emu's but bluestacks runs enjoyable on my current desktop..
I came across android-x86-4.4-RC1.installed it an it feels so smooth an it feeds off of my 2 gig mem in a nice way compared to running a windows then starting an emu an then a game....
I would LOOOOOOVE to move in a brand new direction with Android OS..
My problem-
i get the (unfortunately app has stopped) issue when i try to run some apps but mainly games.
If i switch from my discrete graphics card an use my old onboard intel,it shows the drivers are there and it runs more apps but no game.
Also it auto config a better resolution.
If i use my discrete gpu,it shows my gpu info with null drivers,i get less resolution an little support with apps..
Can someone help me with this please...i would love to use the android os as default system.

[HELP]Need Assistance on GameCIH

Guys I need to know how do I hack this game-Big Boss TV Tycoon.
By using GameCIH I successfully find the money value but when I attempt to change it,it shows changed in GameCIH but has no effect in the game itself.
I did some research and found this usually happens when game is server-sided but AFAIK this is not server-sided because you need not be connected to internet to play this game.So what do I do?I desperately need to hack this game.

Cannot get CIV3 to work in windows emulator. Someone who has it working pls help

(Ty for moving it mods)
Hi all. For around 3 years I have tried to get civ 3 to work on my android device using exagear emu. At some point managed to make vanilla civ 3 work but that is slightly buggy, and trying to boot conquests fails every time. In the newer windows emulator made by exagear, I followed the guides as much as I could to make civ 3 work but I get the same bull problems.
Unload the debugger, black screen then crash etc. I currently have access to a civ 3 gog version.
Anyone here lucky enough to play this game could please share with me how to make it work on my emulator?
Also, I'm confused as to why I can never finish installing the game on the windows emu
