There you go
I think what they mean is where they can get the RUU iteslf.
You can find it in one of the stickies in the development forum.
BUT be aware it is not advised to install the RUU directly as it will remove your root and reset your recovery to a useless one.
Instead choose one of the many ROMs based on this update found here at XDA (for example VillainROM12).
If you did install the RUU and want to root it, try the method in the link given by Pulser above.
Guys I found an RUU for Asia. ( Not sure if there's one already)
Couldn't test it as I don't have the device. Can somebody confirm its real?
Here is the Link
I just found the guy on XDA: Credits to him @BugsyLawson
I've PMd him. Waiting for his reply regarding the RUUs available.

I don't download/test it but as per the RUU no. x.xx.708.x it is for Hong Kong only CID HTC__622 and the 1.14 means the hboot is 1.20
HTC__038 - you need 1.18.720.x (hboot 1.24)
HTC__044 - you need 1.18.707.x (hboot 1.24)

It's something that is controlled from the hboot which read the android-info.txt in each RUU/OTA
For EU they have a few CIDs in its android-info.txt and for India only HTC__038, Hong Kong only HTC__622 but for x.xx.707.x there are two HTC__044 and VODAP022
You can see this info in the build.prop too.

why are people so obsessed with this (not meant offensively)? it does nothing and more importantly proves nothing, recognised developer/contributor/themer/howmuchmorearethere tag is way better, are thanks a way to get this tag? that would explain a lot.

Hi navmad,
Thanks for your PM. I've had a look through my entire collection and emailed a few friends, but unfortunately I haven't been able to uncover the RUU that you were looking for. In the end I resorted to the old faithful method of Google to see if I'd missed anything, but instead of finding an RUU - I ended up landing here instead
As RUU's for this device seem so hard to come by, perhaps it might be an idea to ask around to see if anyone has a stock nandroid backup and recovery image your CID instead? Although I'm not active in the Desire X forum, I'd be happy to host any backups to ensure that people have easy access to the files. It was just a thought.
Sorry that I couldn't be more help.
Bugsy.
Anyone here got any !dea when will there be a RUU for 044 CID?
Hi guys,
I've been looking everywhere for the last few weeks to find the right RUU for my phone.
I need the RUU for 1.17.401.3 for cid E_11 (Dutch) because i want to revert back to stock software.
All i've found is Asian and WWE versions, but those don't work of course.
Anyone here that can point me in the right direction?
Thanks for the help!

There is no RUU for HOX+ 1.17.401.3 only a OTA update from 1.17.401.1 to 1.17.401.3. I have the same problem and i hope that there comes an Android 4.2.2 Sense 5 Ruu file.
There is a 1.17.401.3 RUU. I may help you, but I cannot provide the file because I don't have it myself. I was in the same situation and a friend of mine helped me. PM for more details.
I also would like if someone has the asian version of it (ruu 1.17.709.1 or ota 1.17.709.1/3).

As far as I know, the file is signed and CAN be traced back to HTC. So sharing it in public or in a private way is out of discussion
PM me if you have another solution without having to ask my friend to share it (only Netherlands and Belgium is using it, maybe you are close enough to arrange a quick meeting).
Sorry, but I hope people will understand.
At least you know that a 1.17.401.3 RUU exist.
Maybe someone else have it and is open to share it.
P.S. I don't need anymore the ASIAN version. I successful installed stock 4.2.2 using the "dump_2.17_709.2.zip" file provided by user baadnewz.

Hiya, I've tried everything. Literally, everything i could find on this site and a few others around the web,Everytime i'd try to get my rom pushed onto my sdcard, (internal HD) I would get the no device found error. Everytime i try to get my sdcard mounted, theres no option for me to do so, I'm fairly new to all this and I was desperately hoping to get my 4.2.2 JB update, though i lost the AT&T Software Update option in settings,..Thats the reason why i went for a ROM on xda forums..Up til now it feels like ive had no luck in finding the only options i needed to get through my quest...
Oh if this helps, i was running 4.1.1 and sense 4+ on my HOX+.I have s-on? if anything else is needed regarding my software please ask!.
If anyone could help it would be more than appreciated. Thanks.

First question, what Variant of the HTC One X+ do you have? AT&T, International?
Depending on what your response is will determine which Specific Thread you need to go to.
However, for a complete stock ROM, try this link

This has both the AT&T and International variants. Just remember to read each threads OP "Original Post" it will give you directions for flashing ROM to your phone.

Ha ha..lol.
Dude so u r doing these for gaining warranty?
Funny...
See now the time is gone.
You won't gain it .
Since if u relock the bootloader it will say " Relocked".
And if u have done S-off then there is no chance of get it done S-On.
So forget it now.
I hope I helped u.

In my country they will accept if it's relocked it just need to be on stock rom, and warranty is valid again. I didn't do s-off I never do that.
Nop you still didn't help me, I still need stock rom with 4.2.2 android and sense 5.
