I'm sorry if this has been answered somewhere before, I have been searching for a couple days and haven't found it so I pre-apologize if it has. Is it possible to have the stock AOSP dialer in a TW rom? I actually like TW on the Note 2, and although I'm a huge CM fan and there is now a RC2 out, its still not quite as stable as I would like for a daily. However, I use google voice and I can't live without being able to view my voicemail in the dialer/call log. In fact, if anyone else uses google voice maybe they can relate, it works 10 times better to retrieve voicemail in the dialer than in the app.. It seems in the app sometimes it takes 5-20+ seconds to retrieve a voicemail, where in the dialer they consistently are there every time.
Anyway that's it. I'm assuming its probably tied in to the rom somewhere and can't just be added, which I haven't tried yet... But I was hoping someone a lot smarter and more experienced with the workings of Android could answer this question before I bork a rom and have to start over Thanks

Ok bigJoe, you've really got me more than halfway tthrough, now carry mo across the finish line. All i need is a debloaded ics or jb Rom and an an oc kernel recommendation and ill be done.

I was wondering if anyone would be able to port this from the att note2. It was originally ported from international note 2. Coming from the S3 I have not been able to support my crack flashing addiction. Currently running beans 6 and have been switching back and forth from the few ROMs we have. With all the development in the other variants just been a little disappointing.

Its under the RR folder as modem.bin. You also must remove the edify script for it under installer-script in one of the meta-inf subfolders.
I'm still working out kinks, so the answer is...maybe re: a link. Also, it lists Aroma, but Aroma-capable it is not, even before I started messing with it.

So...I think* I have all but sms (or mms?) working properly. The OP hasn't gotten back to me with a logcat yet.

This is not a demand or request, I just wanted to throw this question out there. Now that 4.3 TW is ported even though without radios, can the sunglare lockscreen/animated weather widget be ported to 4.1? Maybe someone with the knowledge/power/time might want to make it happen, but I just want to know if its possible. Thanks in advance.

Much better title. And to answer the question now that I can see it, odds are no. Most features of the new version of android can't be added to older versions. I could be wrong an someone might be able to hack them apart but in my experience, it won't work. But the thread is asking correctly now so maybe someone more knowledgeable then me will chime in. It could be done to some extent, but depending on what feature you're looking for, the difficulty of doing so may be pretty high. IMO, it would be easier to just wait for a 4.3 release/leak for our device to get the features.

Hi all, I have got a S3 Gt-i9300 running Cyanogen 10.2.20130727 All has been fine until last week when all of a sudden it stopped messaging. Phone call are fine, email is OK just messaging stopped. Any suggestions on what might be looked at will be very welcome.

I too help on a forum where some might say simplistic questions are asked. I just grin and bare it. I've spent 3 days (not 24 hrs per day of course), and then thought this site might provide the answer. Thanks for your answer, I'm sure I'll work it out soon. Just a wonder, if you so dislike answering simple questions why do you bother?
Try reading my signature, it's aimed directly at you. You can't be bothered to help yourself, gave no information but expect someone to hand you the exact answer.
To be exact, your question is not simple so you got the most basic answer which will actually solve your problem -if you don't like it then you can probably work out what to do.
