What's everyone's battery life like? - Xperia Tablet Z Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Well I've had this for just about 2 months now so I believe the battery is well broken in. With a smaller battery as far as tablets go I was wondering what everyone is getting as for daily use? Please post screenshots and screen on times along with any mods or apps you are running to increase it. Here are mine for today.

So..uh...bump?

Alright I'll join in I'm quite happy with the battery life. Sure, my old iPad 2 had a bit better battery life but this is still very good and definitely enough for a tablet in my opinion. And considering how light and thin this tablet is compared to the iPad, I'd say it's a pretty good trade-off.
Brightness was set to auto and I don't think I had stamina mode on as I normally don't. I do usually turn wifi off manually when I leave the tablet for a longer period of time though. No mods or anything like thatä

Not sure what actual battery life is like yet as I've only had the XTZ for 2.5 days. I had it off the charger and never used it for over 11 hours and only had 4% battery drain. This is the LTE version with Stamina mode enabled.

If you guys are gonna post battery info you should also include if you have stamina mode in or not. As for me in my 32gb WiFi XTZ I get about 5 he's screen in time usually with stamina mode off.

I think I have battery issue

I don't understand why my battery lasts only 7hrs! I only use my prime to surf, and I use also tapatalk and fb messenger, with push email.
I set balanced mode, with ips+ on and half brightness. I remember my old ipad lasted about 2 days
Do you think my battery has some problem?
Should I send my prime in rma?

Its because you have super ips on. You don't need to have that on unless you are outside in sunlight.
exactly what he said ips+ is a huge battery hog turn it off and set it to auto and you will get much better battery
Yeah dude its super ips+ turn it off you'll see the result

Ok I'll try. But with auto brightness I see nothing :-D

Just turn off Super IPS. You don't have to use auto brightness. Just don't needlessly max out the brightness.

just chiming in here.
I have the same problem, but i dont have super ips on. wifi is also turned off. brightness is set to around 20%, i use my tablet for my etextbooks, so 2 hours of it on using ezPdf reader i lose 30% already -_-

ezPDF is a huge battery muncher. I use MyLibrary and lose about 15% from about 2 hours of usage.
Reading the hunger games on amazon kindle with 70% tips off I could get about 9 1/2 hours

If your not using your screen much which clearly your not then it is going to be something other than screen at the top, learn how percentages work.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
Actually it IS a known issue and there are a few threads on it already.
How is this an issue? Like Lennyuk said, if you don't use your phone that much, then obviously standby would be the nr. 1. power drain.
Actually, both arguments could be correct...
Unless the stock software is extremely efficient, and makes the screen somehow super efficient, then it would be normal for standby to be that high. Another point to note, is are you complaining about battery life? or just the fact that a number on some statistics is high and you don't like it?
The counter argument to that is, if you look at mine on CM9, cell standby is a lot lower. Make of that what you want.

the battery life isn't so good on the s3 :crying:
but i hope samsung fixes it in future updates(JELLY BEAN):fingers-crossed:
all seems well, the battery is better then that 4S
Check if there're any build issues or light bleed on the left edge of the bezel(some white units had this problem),check for dead pixels and last thing is to check the model number.Make sure it's I9300.

Been the s3 is so far superior than the iPhone you are getting an amazing deal. Just make sure there's no defects. I would enter this deal with allot of caution.

Move From Alpha

Hi all friends
from last 5 months, i m using alpha
i want to change my phone now
Plz suggest me best phones under 10-25k
i want to switch to oneplus x
will it be worthy ?
Why you will do that?
Alpha is ellegant, powerful device.
It will get Marshallow in Q2 2016.
I changed iPhone 6 64GB to Alpha about a half year ago and save 400€.
I bought 2500mAh battery and it is great.
I dont want bigger device than 4,7".
I have a oneplus x and I ordered a alpha. I'll post feedback in few days if anyone still interested.
Sent from my ONE E1005 using Tapatalk
I sold my alpha because fingerprint was not working...
But I will buy a new Alpha.
Great phone.
Beautiful phone, light, small, nice HD 4,7 display, good batterry, excellent performance...
Alpha best phone neu.
Ran benchmark, am I reading results right? The alpha seems to get better results?

Any special settings to get this result? Mine Alpha got 40051... mostly due to UX score (8536) half away of yours...
Exynos variants usually score around 50k on Antutu (see here). Maybe you had power saving options turned on.

I ran another test, got better results (much more closer to average benchmarks on Alpha): 49067 (UX: 14445).
Pretty good score. Ran mine again, also just for fun ran z5c:

Battery life as a normal smartphone

Hi all,
I'm about to purchase this beautiful phone, but as I'm not planning on any heavy mobile gaming ( believe it or not, I just like Asus, ROG, the audio setup and the form factor), I'm very interested in knowing how the battery life is with regular use.
No official review goes too much in depth on this matter.
How is the standby time, SOT, using it as a regular smartphone (mail, social, youtube, camera etc)?
Thanks a lot for your input!
This is the first phone I've ever owned where I get 2 full days. I lose 2 or 3% overnight. Overall, battery life is amazing.
You must have everything turned off. I am not even close to that on stand by ...
I came from a Pixel 2 XL. All my apps are the exact setting and the Pixel 2 XL has a smaller battery and it last longer the entire day then the ROG phone
With this phone I am having to find ways to get better life. pixel 2 XL didn't do any or that. On my pixel 2 XL I even have Always On and music ID turned on
ROG Phone owners will have to wait for custom kernels and maybe even custom ROMs because something is eating the 4000 mah battery of this phone like nothing. Many tests have proven a poor battery life, very poor considering the battery size.
Whatever it is ... It's in the system

Battery life is ok, Will last me about a day with normal usage and 8 with heavy ones. I got rid of FB and use metal instead. I use black theme in all The app offering it as well.
