Hi everybody
I'm here to show you a way to remove ALL the damm bloatware that exists in TELCEL MEXICO JB stock rom
A little WHY i did this update:
Brazil don't released a JB update so i need to use the Mexican ones. But these TELCEL roms are completely full of crap, but not only this, this telcel roms change the icons, bootanimation, shutanimation.. The visual of the phone becames just awful ;/
I made a change in notification too so if you guys want i make a version that don't change this part
Well, images speaks better than words, so here is how the ROM stays after the update:

I am not responsable for anything that happens with your phone after installing my update. Follow the HOW TO and fill the REQUIREMENTS and you will have no problems
Hi shucrut, very good idea. I'm from Brazil too, and already had made my own version of Telcel JB debranded, but will try you method also.
Fortunately, we will not suffer from LG not updating the L9 in Brazil, perhaps V10a will be the last official version here
By the way, there are two ROMs labeled Telcel 20a in lg-phone-firmware, do you know the differences between them?
I'm testing the version released later (626.16MB) and all is well (even battery consumption). I noticed that apns-conf.xml is not working, Claro provider configuration is automatic in other ROMs I tested.
Also the voicemail number is not configurable, I had to edit a system file to my provider number (*100) else speed dial (#1 in keypad) will not work.
A very good ROM indeed! :good:
Yeah, brazil lg sucks so much..
Im using the latest released from mexico too, but im having problems connectong to 3g, cause my provider is Oi and use 2100mhz frequency to 3g, which is not implemented in mexico telcel roms, i wonder if i replace radio files with brazil one it will be solved
But anyway, try this. I will update tonight cause i forgot to delete some telcel related apks.
With telcel jb my phone never auto configure apn and other stuff, i always need open sim toolkit and ask for the configuration. The provider send me configuration messages and everything went normal

Hi everyone, i need some advise.
I had the global 2.1 rom on my rogers phone and it was beautiful, fast and flawless.
It did bother me i had an x10i rom on my phone, so i decided to change the codes to brazil and do the reinstall from seus to get 2.1 from brazil on my rogers phone.
This is where it went all bad, the update failed 3 times and on the forth it went through.
1. My x10 now has a few issue's, terrible signal strength, no bars in my basement. with the global rom i was getting 2 to 3 bars.
2. My wifi connects once and after the phone sleeps i need to restart the phone to get it to connect.
3. The app men u is slow, it opens fast but it takes about 7 to 8 swipes before it moves, then it sticks to where it scrolls to and again 7 to 8 swipes to get it to scroll. with the global rom the app menu was super fats no hesitation. i could go from the first app to the last very fast.
4. generally seems slower.
Here is the advice i would like to get.
1.should i reinstall the brazil rom?
2. should i go to rogers rom?
3. should i go to the global rom again?
One last thing, has anyone else had an issue with the brazilian rom?
Thanks for any tips/ advise.
i did the same with mine did not like having the 10i im not having any of your problems but I would also like to get rogers 2.1 on my phone also. but no issues with the brazil one so far.
Brazil Rom works like a charm on my x10a, I tried the nordic and the global roms but the Brazil Rom is the smoothest. Plus the app launcher doesn't lag.
I would suggest to flash the phone again through SEUS then do a factory reset for the phone and ur SD card
Sent from my X10a using XDA App
thanks guy's.
I'm glad to here it is not the brazil rom. i will reset and do the reinstall using seus and post back if i have any issue's.
Gota love the xda forums, everyone is so good at sharing experinces. makes it one of my favorite places to hang out and read.
im about to do this to my x10a as well, is this the correct code?
X10a CUST-BR NAM1 1234-4836 1232-4526 Customized BR/Sensuous black
Yes, that code is the right one for brazilian 2.1 generic fw.
Ok all is good now, seems that when the seus update failed it caused some issue's.
or doing the reset of the phone and sd card might have saved me.
Anyways all is good again.
Thanks

According to Sony Ericsson Product Blog page LAM firmware has been released isnt the one with code 1232-4388?
Not sure if this is a good thread for this but I couldn't really find a response. I got a White X10 from Rogers a while back. I already debranded it using Generic Latin America (I think Argentina?? it was something like xploid, I can't remember exactly). Now I want to change the region so I can update to 2.1 but I'm not exactly sure how. Someone told me to I should change it to Brazil but I didnt know how to do that using the SEUS? I have an X10a with R2BA026. When I do the lock screen code (menu, back back etc...) under Country it says Generic LAM (b) - Brand is Customized. Under software info it has Phone Software Version: 1227 - 4612_R2BA026 Generic. Not sure if all of this was helpful but I hope someone can help me I really dont know when or how I'll be able to update to 2.1 without changing the region
Not able to bring phone back to original using SEUS
I tried upgrading to 2.3 but had no SD, so tried bringing it back to 2.1 Brazil 1232-4526 edited the custom files and what not but SEUS downloads the something than says my phone is already up to date. I'm using US X10a generic 2.1 right now. any ideas? also tried using recovery image I made with xrecovery but phone boots to SE colored logo than restarts.
Could someone please share the Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) version 1.6 build.prop!
There's an official 2.1 and I can't get back to Taiwan version, stuck with SG and World Wide only............
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=827273 try this.... this would work.....
Actually I have read that post from first page to the last page..........
The problem is that after reverting back to 1.6NL and root, whenever I change the country code to the ones I want(3 places if I am not mistaken), Taiwan, reinsert the build.prop back to system folder and then perform an update, it always update to the global version!
I suspect that there's more to change then just the country code with the build.prop in the original fw!
An update, some fellow androider share with me the original TW build.prop and it works fine! I haven't had the time to check the difference between the 2 versions! I will do that when I have more time.

Hello everyone,
I have a south Korea:
Device spec:
S9 plus G965M with Exynos 9810 and says SK Telecom in the start but I think it's unlocked because I have my Portuguese sim card inside and it's working here in Portugal
Band name Ron : G965N KSU 1ARJ1
This
I've went thru a lot of threads but I got flooded with so many information that I'm afraid of the steps to do.
Main goal:
1. Use the phone in Europe / Portugal
2. Change the ROM because even with reset and English chosen, Android has a lot of menus in Korean
3. Even boot loader for Odin is Korean.
4. Install Android pie 9.0 and continue to receive updates. This phone is stopped in October patch. I think it won't update unless I put a Korean sim
Since the current official ROM 9.0 with oneUI and Pie is for 965F and not 965N (mine), and since N partition is smaller, where should I start or how?
10. Should I start with CSC change? Will that change partition also? To what CSC then?
11. Root? TWRP? Custom ROM?
12. I don't care about Samsung pay, but will I lose VoltLTE?
Thanks a lot for your time.
Hi folks,,,
At first excuse my language just plz try to keep up with me to get help
So I bought an used S9 plus Duos, inside its G965F...software info, build number its also G965F,, outside on the back G965F made in Vietnam,,, i discovered that's there is root and its on February security patch i tried to unroot it using Odin,,,the where i discovered its G965N!!!! Tried to continue by downloading official g965N firmware (pie 9) ... when the device restarted after using odin the phone working or showing just one sim even it was working just fine and even I used pie firmware its went back to oreo!!!
Plz ... Biiiig plz I need advices and solutions,,, I want to clean the root, I want to get updates ... and I want to get both of sim 1 and sim 2 work

1: cool, super easy and it sounds like you got it taken care of anyways
2: it’s a Exynos processor, so you should be able to root it and throw whatever ROM you want on it
3: if it’s a Korean model it should accept a G965F firmware flash in Odin which isnt a korean bootloader, and even if its not compatible, Odin will just fail out on the flash unless you have the modded version of Odin that is designed to ignore version mismatch errors and flash anyways
4: manually update it with Odin and don’t fiddle with the carrier specific needs for updates
What happened to 5 through 9?? (kidding, I can read between the lines)
10: CSC stands for country specific product code, or something like that. It tells the phone what market it is supposed to be intended for
11: sure, if you want, but youll trip knox if you do. sure. if youd like to, youre welcome to do that
12: SPay can be wonky depending on your CSC, but voLTE is a firmware/carrier specific. I have a regular S9 that i purchased from Cricket (united states MVNO carrier) and it had voLTE when i got it, but i flashed the G960U1 firmware (the "U1" iteration is the snapdragon unbranded version) and voLTE and WiFi calling are now both gone from my menu

oh, and youre not gonna change the partition size to anything bigger than it came with. When you Odin flash the firmware, it wont change the amount of internal storage available unless you inadvertently shrunk it with a firmware flash of a smaller storage base phone, which seems unlikely. This was more common in the standard 16gb internal storage days. If the internal storage amnt is incorrect after a firmware flash, factory reset it in stock recovery and that should correct the issue

Hello!
Im sorry to tell you that a I didnt find solution ?
My Xperia 1 is on HK firmware and hasn't gotten updates for over three months. Other regions have gotten the latest updates to fix the bugs but I still have to stand the crappy fingerprint sensor. Now I decide to flash SEA firmware but I hear that if I do so, I can't use VoLTE. Is that true? Does VoLTE support have anything to do with firmwares, SIMs, carriers, etc.? Thx.

If you live in HK, are using a local carrier and are on the HK firmware, then VoLTE will work.
If you live in HK and flash a non-HK firmware, VoLTE will no longer work.

HK firmware might have the necessary IMS profiles for VoLTE to work in China, which is why it could be working.
You could try flashing to a different regions firmware, if it still works, great. If not, you can flash back to the HK firmware.

In present situation I am busy working at home and have to use the phone a lot, so I have to think twice before doing so. That's why I asked the question first.?
Chinese carriers' VoLTE works on SEA firmware, but the signal strength is rather poor, you can simply flash the SEA firmware and receive OTA updates if you don't mind the signal problem. If you can't bear it, you can try this method to get VoLTE working normally. Beware that OTA updates would be unavailable, you'll have to repeat following steps every time you update.
1. Download both HK and SEA firmware.
2. Make a copy of these four files from HK firmware:
Code:
oem.map
oem_other.map
oem_other_X-FLASH-CUST-A2CD.sin
oem_X-FLASH-CUST-A2CD.sin
3. Paste them into SEA firmware folder.
4. Flash the firmware. (If you want to keep your data and apps, delete files starting with name "appslog diag userdata" before flashing.)

Thx very much! Could I try Taiwan firmware instead to get better signal and avoid replacing OEM files? Although it has slower updates than SEA one, it is still much faster than HK one. And it seems that no one complains its signal.

Update finished. I tried calling and no VoLTE icon appeared by the signal icon or on the UI of dialer, but LTE icon didn't change to H+/3G. Did that mean VoLTE was enabled?
Edit: VoLTE seems to work now. I typed *#*#4636#*#*, and in Phone Info I saw Voice Network Type is LTE, and Signal Strength is -82 dBm 58 asu which may be a good signal.

Hi Everyone,
Can anyone help me with process for flashing UK version firmware of XQ-BC52 on Taiwan version of XQ-BC72. I need to know which firmware files such as ".ta" or any other files to be removed from firmware folder before flashing. The UK or US customization versions supports volte and Wifi calling in my country.
Currently the Taiwan firmware version is at 61.0.A.23.20 (android 11) and UK firmware version is at 61.1.A.2.211 (android 12)
Can I just flash the .oem files of UK firmware to TW firmware?. But, since device firmware versions are different, flashing may fail and corrupt the device. Can you confirm if this is safe to flash?.
Request your help!

I think yes but r u sure that customized UK fw supports voLTE and WIFI calling? the switches are in the settings? because I have the same model but with eea customized and have no volte or/and vowifi switches.... My carrier supports them btw
I've been told the customised SEA also has Volte and VoWifi wnabled, but I never got any joy out of it when I flashed it into my HK BC72 device. I have tried the previous firmware revision of the UK one, but nothing there either.

So if I flash it to my XQ-BC52 will it affect anything? I don't want to lose anything, but I want to use volte I have no idea why it isn't enabled when all of the carriers on my country support it
I would first update it to the newest TW Firmware and check if it works (so you can update, without loosing personal data).
If it still doesn't work, I would try the HK firmware, because of Over-The-Air–Updates (OTA). I have VoLTE and VoWifi in Switzerland with this firmware.
If it still doesn't work, try the BC-52 firmwares (but you loose OTA Updates).
Please just check after flashing a new firmware if you have the functions. If it works, first do a repair with Sony Companion before starting to install everything (like apps, files....). This makes a clean install and avoids a lot potential of failures/problems.
I bought the phone in Etoren and it is the model XQ-BC72, I live in the UK, and the update I received via OTA and is installed is 61.1.A.2.211 release-keys. you shouldn't, I guess Sony recognizes you're in the UK and installs the correct one

You won't lose your data if you explicitly tell it not to clear userdata off your phone, if that's what you mean. If, however, you're referring to certain functionalities I sometime hear of getting lost, then I myself haven't noticed such with all versions of firmware I have tried out so far.

I've yet to do a clean install, the way you have described it. I guess I'll do it just like that when I've given up on trying to activate VoLTE and VoWifi on my phone. It's interesting that your Hong Kong phone has that function over there. I suppose there is some substance in Sony's insistence that the one's network provider be engaged as well.
I was considering getting the Xperia 1 IV which would be a nice upgrade from my Xperia 1 II but with volte not working it would push me away. I managed to get it working on my Xperia 1 II by simply flashing SEA firmware. It was straight forward and has worked flawlessly with OTA updates. It doesn't look like the Xperia 1 IV will work that way. Even if I was to flash SEA firmware it looks like volte still wouldn't work. Come on Sony sort this problem out
