Bought it on release from Negri Electronics in Las Vegas.
Have been using it on AT&T in San Jose/San Francisco. 3G works really well, even on Caltrain which was always a nightmare before.
No issues with calls or data service on the C6802 for me. And updates are coming through fine, I installed 526 last night.

I assume u do not have lte though ?

No LTE, that would would be why I am using 3G

I am using on AT&T as well. Works fine on 3g. Purchased from Negri. I live in South Florida.

I am also living in the San Jose area with this phone, specifically the c6802, the 3G HSPA+ is pretty much flawless, pretty quick, I wouldn't really upgrade to the LTE personally to trade off that extra battery life I am getting, great phone. AT&T is my carrier.

I bought my 6802 from ATGSM.Inc in NYC on release. I'm using it on At&t in Atlanta and it works flawlessly. I plan on buying the 4G model on release.

How's the sound of the earpiece? Are phone calls loud and clear, unlike the Xperia ZL?

I am going to wait till att releases the version that supports LTE band..

I have the C6802 version on ATT in Houston, TX....
What are you all using for APN settings? My phone's data doesn't work out of the box. I guess I have to mess with the APN settings? Did anyone else have to?

Call quality is perfectly fine, the device is large so you won't be using it too often I think, once you know where the sweetspot is to place it on your ear it is completely fine.

I ran the auto-network setup and the APN was configured correctly right away.
Settings -> [wireless & Networks] more -> Internet Settings -> ATT
That was it.
Getting 13Mbps down, 1.1Mbps up, 68ms ping according to speediest.net
Easiest phone setup ever for me.

Very very easy to setup. Exactly like what you said. Just put in your sim card (Phone off). Turn it on and go to setting and download the Internet setting. Works fantastic for me. Getting 22down 41 ping. On AT&T.

It wont ever happen or highly doubt it my buddy works for at&t corporate he said itl be only available thru sony first then maybe t-mobile I called sony aswell and looked into it found some links and yup if it came to any carrier Itd be t-mobile but thatl take time sony will have it sometime this month or next no exact date thats what sony said and itl be the LTE US version unlocked finally we always get stuff last...so technically itl be ready for any carrier but I think will work best on t-mobile or what ever other pre paid carriers use there satellites or what not

I'm using this with AT&T outside of Portland Oregon. The data connectivity is just fine on H+. Call quality is good and no issues to report. Many folks state that the audio is muffled or distorted due to the membrane in place for waterproofing but I can't confirm that in my own experiences. Crystal clear here.

Anyone using Atrix 4G unlocked on T-Mobile?

Is anyone here using their Atrix 4G unlocked on T-Mobile or anyone other carrier which is not AT&T?

im using mines and works great
I have used mine with three different carriers and no problems (US, UK, SP).
I use Simple Mobile. Does anyone know of another carrier in the U.S that could provide 4g speeds with AT&T bands?
I just gave away my spare atrix to my wife's friend. She's on T-Mobile and hasn't had any problems yet. I did warn her she's on 2g forever and ever.

It will always be slow since its on 2g, nothing you can do.
Why aren't there laws that make it so cell phones are all interchangeable? Something like consumer freedom so you can buy any phone you want and use it on the carrier of your choice.
Use straight talk. Hspa compatible.

Actually, T-Mobile has said they're going to start adopting AT&T's 3G bands with the hope that Apple will let them sell subsidized iPhones. So depending on where you live, you may get 3G on the Atrix. I agree though, more interoperability is needed. This GSM/CDMA split we have is ridiculous.
I'm not using T-Mobile right now, but in a year (when my contract expires) I'm switching to one of their value plans and will unlocking my Atrix to use with them if I'm still happy with it. Given that so far the only spec I see improving on newer phones is the screen resolution, I think it'll still be plenty usable when that happens.

[Q] Unlocked my AT&T One, Popped in T-Mobile sim.... no data...

I'm getting text, but no data otherwise it seems. Nothing in web browser, etc. I see a 4G logo. My network info says:
Operator Name: T-Mobile
Mobile Network Type: UMTS
Service state: In service
Is it the mobile network type that is wrong? How do I change it?
EDIT: Seems like maybe I have to set the APN? Are these correct? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2236735
Yes, when switching carriers you will need to manually add the APN if the SIM card didn't automatically do it for you.
I don't have T-Mobile, but that looks good to me.

He is likely in a T-Mobile refarmed area so 1900 MHz UMTS is available, while your area doesn't have this.
Go to http://airportal.de to get an (unofficial) view of where this is available.

The final answer is yes. The AT&T HTC One and the international/developer edition are exactly the same. Both support the frequencies used by T-Mobile. However, if you're not in a refarmed area listed here, then you won't be getting HSPA+. You'll get calls, text, MMS, but restricted to 2G as far as data goes until your towers are refarmed.
There are alot of threads on this topic in this forum as well as on the international/developer forums supporting this.
I had been getting speeds well over 20mbps on my Nexus 4... cracked the screen this weekend and connected an unlocked HTC One, from AT&T. I'm getting 5mbps now. I changed the settings as the OP did.
I am wondering if the speed reduction is due to the new phone, or because I recently switched from a "Unlimited" (with 5gigs of unlimited data) contract plan to a truly unlimited month-to-month "uncarrier" plan.
I made the change on Monday or so of last week, and within 24-48 hours was having poor/limited reception in my home and nearby, in my town, which I previously NEVER had issues in.
@OP- How did you go about getting yours unlocked? I'm trying to unlock mine to make it more valuable on craigslist and AT&T said that someone will get back to me by the 9th, which won't work for me.

I have an unlocked ATT branded i717 that I've been using on T-Mobile here in San Diego for about 2 months now...I'm using the modified T-Mo ICS Blaze radio. Due to the area of San Diego I'm in I am not in a refarmed network area so no LTE for me but my "4G" speeds are usually around 10megs down and 2 megs up at home which I'm pretty satisfied with.
Anyways to answer your question I'd refer to this thread.....

Yes you need to change your modem or else you you will be stuck using roaming on the 2G frequencies. I recommend the Blaze 4G UVMB1 modem on this page:

Of all the modems I have used, this one seems to be the best one. If something else works better let me know so I can try it for myself.

Its funny that I didn't need to change anything, all I did was, get the $30 dollar plan from wal mart, I call T-Mobile to help me out with activation and new number. And they ask me for my imei and that's it. My LTE runs right when it activated, everything is pure stock!

Refarmed are means tmobile is using same frequencies and towers as at&t, so the stock modem will work fine. Just input APN settings and go!

If you have any of the Sprint spark enabled phones you lose data connection ( 2g, 3g, 4g) while on a call, unless you're connected to wifi.
I noticed this too. Back on the S3 you could do both but now you can't.

The S3, EVO LTE, and S4(pre spark) could do it fine because they had 2 radios. They were sold around the time AT&T and T-Mobile were marketing the ability to do Talk and Data at the same time.
Since that time has passed, the new Spark Phones will not be able to do Talk and Data until VoLTE is enabled.. Yay!
It is a step back so I will be keeping my EVO LTE around incase I need the ability more often then not. :/

im missing my S3 due to this
I don't think this is a Sprint specific thing. My work iPhone 5 (On Verizon) does the same thing.. as others have said there is only 1 radio.. probably cost savings/power savings is why they are doing it.
It is a CDMA thing. The Radio cannot do Data and Voice at the same time on the same radio. GSM is completely different technology so it doesn't have this limitation.
On the Sprint/Verizon phones that could do this, they either had separate 3G/4G modems, or Duel 3G and a 4G modem. It didn't help Battery life when more than one is in use, but it did get around the problem of data while on voice quite well.
No Spark Sprint Devices have this however. They all have only 1 radio at the moment so until VoLTE is turned on, No Voice and Data.
All you've gotta do is switch to T-Mobile. I've got talk text and internet all the same time.

That feature only works on AT&T network.
It's not actually a CDMA thing only. It's has to deal with the chipset. Even T-Mobile and AT&T you'll lose LTE while on call as manufacturers have consolidated the radios.
Yeah i lose data when I make a call on sprint. But with my t-mobile, it just drops to 3g (hspa) which is faster than sprints 4g anyways...

I got my LTE one last Friday from Samsung UK, would have preferred a Silver one (had received a Silver Wifi one last week) as the black just attracts fingerprints but it works very well!
Got the wifi but swapping for the 4G which should turn up today. Excellent customer service from Samsung
Positives
- Screen quality good even though PPI not as good as the older Note 10.1 2014 edition. Perhaps better graphics processing. Screen very fast and responsive
- WiFi seems very fast
- holds LTE Signal really well
Not sure about the S Pen functionality yet. The fine pen option is not that fine! But S Pen works well with OneNote

Canada was the first to get the S3
We'll probably be the last to get the S3 LTE (or perhaps not at all). Eh, it might be for the best anyway.
I've tended to use my phones as a hotspots lately because of this (not having LTE or cell variants of tablets/laptops up here) but also due to battery life being better on my phones just using them as hotspots (practically naked of apps running in the background) vs. using them by themselves with apps + cellphone data (because as long as the phone is connected to network apps call home with phone off). This also causes other devices to not eat as much battery, because once the Internet's off completely, nothing will consume battery in the background. I don't like turning on/off Airplane mode all the time just to save some battery, and can't control other "features" I don't need (or can't turn off, like default apps background push data) unless rooted, but I want Netflix so gotta be chaste.
I'd like to see some battery stats on LTE vs WiFi versions, due to the nature of always-on apps.

Yes, it does. Unfortunately, it doesn't have US LTE bands (besides band 5). But HSPA+ is pretty good though on T-Mobile in my area.
I was reading the info on it on Amazon, the info can be misleading there then. It states quote on quote "This model provides for LTE connectivity on all GSM networks throughout the globe. No support for CDMA though (Sprint, Verizon, etc.) "

I think the information on all the current seller sites are inaccurate, they are all copy and paste from the generic spec of the SM-T825 model. I think most of the LTE version seller on eBay and Amazon is selling the SM-T825C model, which is the "Chinese/HK" version of the tablet without proper US LTE band support. It does support US GSM Bands for calling and data.
The SM-T825Y model, while it's the common model in the SE Asia Region (Singapore, Philippines...etc) and Europe, supports T-Mobile US LTE bands (2,4). However, I have yet to find a seller in the US (or ships to the US) that inidicate that they are selling the Y version besides a company called ETOREN. So you probably ned to wait a while until the Y version becomes more common.
Would have been nice to get a Y version, but I guess I will just have to work around the LTE part with my hotspot if I need the speed .
