Just picked up the Moto Razr from Dubai.. First call i received, the earphone speaker seems to be crackling.. tried reducing the volume / increasing the volume.. no change.. the speaker still seems to be crackling.. minor sound, but nonetheless, not expected when you spend money to buy an uber smartphone..!
Any suggestions on what to do about this?
i ve noticed today that on maximum volume the speaker on the phone is kind of distorted. not on all sound, some sound good, some sound distorted. it happens in everything but u can hear it well in music player.
dont get me wrong, its not that bad but u can hear some sound distortions like buzzing and wheezing on some tones i also have an s2 and that is fine.
had any of u noticed this?
anyone?
Yea I get it but i don't really notice it that much
I have the same problem.
On maximum vlume settings I hear sound distortion.
Is it hardware or software problem?
I have the same problem.
I tried different ROM AOSP, AOKP, Samsung based rom, I tires different Kernel.
I also order a new speaker from ebay.
Problem won't disappear.
I think the internal speaker amplifier is defective.
Headphone sound is clear.
Phone speaker OK.
Ringer speaker distortion even at very very low volume. It's even more noticeable a low volume.
My Xperia Z2 has a low in-call volume.
I can barely hear others when talking on phone, though the speakers works fine.
I have searched a lot but just found most of the mods are about speakers and earphones.
Is there anyway to fix the in-call volume or like which part of the mixer_paths.xml should I modify to increase the volume?
Thanks in advance.
I have the exact same problem, cant be a hardware defect because when playing music everything is fine loud over the speakers. So i am not sure whats wrong, everyone has told me my unit must be defective but i cant see how, if the speaker were bad then music wouldnt be loud. Its just in call volume for me thats terrible
hi , just wanted to know if anyone have this problem too . i getting noise on low volume when playing music or any sound with in ear headphone (Xiaomi hybrid ) and some other sony in ear headphone i tested . no matter which rom i use . flashed global beta , multirom , miuipro, RR , octos . ...
searched google for fix , tested some of them but no chance . any help appreciated .
I am also having the same issue. The noise is high esp on low volume. On high volume, it is barely noticeable. But when I tried with Sony MDR X450, I am not hearing any noise. May be there is impedence mismatch or hardware issue.
Hi everyone. Have you tried to play some music at maximum volume?
My phone audio play it distorted and the volume is really low. Hope it's a software bug!!!

That happened to me once, I rebooted my phone and the distortion went away:good:
I guess you're right. After the reboot doesn't make it anymore. Think it's really a bug. Hope they fix it
if it happens again just double check outdoor mode is off just in case. it sounds pretty bad, even at lower volumes.
side note, has anyone tried viper4android yet? curious to know if it runs yet since the built in ROG eq only covers from 250hz to 8khz, viper gives you 60hz to 16khz I believe
ive had the same speaker bug that resetting seems to correct
but what im wondering is if anyone knows how to increase the headphone jack volume
im almost always on max volume with how low the audio is
I've been having problems with the aux jack being distorted only in my car. That's been going on for the week I've had mine, but just last night I had really poor audio from my Bluetooth earbuds. A restart fixed it but it's becoming a big enough pain I'm considering returning it.
Edit: Using the fan attachment and the aux jack on it yields normal, staticless audio.

I had to install the BOSE Companion App in order to increase the Volume to my BT Headphones
