I have installed UHD 4.0 with STOCK KERNEL(ICS) in my NEO V.
I am unable to play games in my mobile.
Any game is playable only for the 1st time.. That too after restarting the device.
Launching the game 2nd time, the game exits automatically without even staying for 5 seconds.
So is there any fix for this error?
Is there any option to convert from REGULAR USE to GAMING mode without flashing the ROM?

There is no other option except flashing the ROM again. Try overclocking the CPU or update to 5.0 version with updated adreno drivers (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1894454)

I am facing this problem from the very beginning.. Tried UHD 5.0 too..
Dont know what is causing this problem..
But will this problem occur on stock kernels?

I tried UHD 4.0 with Latest Adreno Drivers.
The result was blackscreen..
Flashed completely again from the start.
It did not work out though.

The games were working fine until i installed the necessary apps in my mobile.
After installation now the same problem has started again.
The Game exits automatically while playing..
Any working solution for this problem?
While installing the ROM, did you select the gaming version? Also, could you please list the apps and games you are installing?
No. I selected REGULAR USE mode. I use facebook, Skype, team viewer, dropbox, camscanner. I don't use any heavy apps.
Is it necessary to select Gaming mode while installation?
Can't we play normal games using REGULAR USE mode?

I'm not sure but if you select the gaming version which is designed for that purpose, you may feel some rich experience while playing games. You can just give a try.

Selecting the Gaming mode will SuperCharge your phone. Supercharger mod is good for gaming so I also will suggest you to do a clean installation with full wipes & select Gaming mode while installing.

Hi ! Where may I get a custom Kernel for Arc S with overclocking possibility and having the original SONY Logo on stock Kernels?

Firstly, I'd be glad to help you on this but please use the search function before posting anything.
Secondly, you've posted this in wrong thread & wrong device forum.
Thirdly, there is no custom kernel which uses stock Sony bootlogo anymore.
If you want it, you'll have to decompile the stock kernel & the custom kernel then replace the .rle image from stock kernel with the one in custom kernel & then recompile.
Cheers!

I recommend you to not to freeze any app since you don't know the nature of the apps , if you want to save your battery you can use some good task killer and by over clocking your CPU to less than 1 GHz you can save lot of battery , also by setting some profiles in setCPU app to do this over clock you have to flash a kernel like xkernel which is really good in battery bakup
Also you can use good battery saver app

I disagree. Using taskkiller increases battery usage. Apps restart itself, taskkiller kills, both these require more power. Better let them run, Android kills them itself when needed.
Yes, there are some apps, that can be removed/frozen, will post a link later.
And its underclocking, when you set CPU frequency lower.

Man you should make sure you know how to do this before flashing anything........
Anyway, go to the rooting thread and download the 404 kernel ftf.
Reboot to recovery, factory reset, wipe dalvik cache, restore backup. Power off, if only reboot option is there just remove battery open flashtool and flash the ftf you downloaded above.

You asking for everything in a rom. For a daily use rom you have to sacrifice interface like JJ's hybrid rom it is fast and smooth games worked charmed and with basic interface.
And Xperia smoothness is too good in fancy but little laggy and Ram leaker almost many HD games definitely lags.
Make a choice you're ways
(Edit)
Now you have latest rom Xperia smoothness b11.
May be its perfectly stable which you're looking for just try it.

Well there is only one way to know. You have to try them all.
About installing the ROM, follow the instructions the ROM dev gives you and you'll be fine.
Sent from my MT11i using xda premium
Head into the dev section, there you'll find loads of custom ROMS..
And just like @DeathCzar said you have to try all of them to know which one is better in terms of looks, performance and battery life!
It all depends from person to person..
Some ROMS which we love you might not like much!
So it's better to try them on your own and then review them!
All the best!

ok good
can say fast-clean roms only?... I hate for ex.when I open the dialer to wait 20 secs and then type the phone number.
tell me from the roms had you have tried.
I dont care about fancy homepages or animations. I want Performance .
All ROM devs aim for what you say. But I'd suggest you try AOKP ICS/CM9 if you want most of the things working + speed.
Also if you need HDMI, try any stock based ROM.

It's better to use the kernel that is inside the zip file of the ROM!
And for your doubts, kernels are flashed through fastboot and ROMS are installed through CWM..
And when installing a ROM we wipe data, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache and any other thing as mentioned by the developer of the ROM!
