No I know this is built by you guys and everone does something different with audio as far as audio volume. Whether it be in call or volume out through speakers. Like CyanogenMod always had louder over all volume vs aosp or self compiled source on the galaxy nexus due to low volume.
Sorry didn't mean to drag this out.

Damn you Untz! Every time I settle on a ROM, after testing and playing with a lot, here you go with some new shiz:highfive:
You, sir, are a giver.
Sounds appealing. Might have to try this!
I shall try!!!
Going through the motions on checking this Rom out. So far opening camera app forces it to reboot. After reboot it just hangs and the only way to get back in is to hold the power button till it reboots, then your back in. Going to go through the settings and will let know what else I find. If logs are needed will grab them.

Scimitar ROM is a ROM which is meant to be lightning fast, battery friendly, and have customization options. It most certainty doesn't disappoint. It is based on Rascalo's source with the main difference being that it's built from Linaro with few customization here and there.

If you really like this ROM, consider donating to this 16 year old lad. No, he doesn't get high off of drugs, but rather off of Android. I will never ask for donations other than in this post and it won't affect how much time I put into this ROM, but it will make me with my ideal family: Me, my laptop, and a Starbucks Coffee Frappuccino.

Yes, you can use ART however I don't really recommend it because still not all apps are compatible and can cause some FC's for apps. I also didn't experience much of a performance difference with ART compared to Dalvic

I already use ART on Cataclysm and I can tell a difference. None of the apps I use are incompatible with ART. Will the FC's happen if I haven't had any FC's before? Also, what does this ROM include? Does it have the ROM + Gapps + SU + Busybox? Because the zip file seems insanely huge for just a ROM....

Awesome rom. Gummy rom is the only AOSP rom on htc one that doesnt have home button lag for me. I dont know why but all other AOSP roms have a delay in going to the home screen after pressing home.
Good job.
EDIT: Is there no double press home for recents?

It has the 3 dot menu when you are in the album(the menu where it says start radio or add to library). The menu I am looking for is the settings menu for Google play music. Its the menu for playback quality and equalizer. This menu doesn't show up.

Features:
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
improved notification handling (active display & halo are in review also)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications

This is using what we based from olivers sources. Whenever marcin finishes pushing kernel I will use his kernel and adapt his device changes.
Marcin? The one from maclaw's team?

What is AICP?
AICP: Android Ice Cold Project

Bugs:
-CM device tree and kernel used, any possible bugs (BT devices, possible data dropouts)
-AICP OTA app will Force Close...this is an unofficial version so this feature wouldnt work anyway but is also a result of using a non aicp gapps...I used slim-gapps worked fine.

This is an Awesome ROM. Everything is smooth...
You just don't know how long I've been waiting for HALO to be put in a rom that I can use. Downloading now. Thank you so much!
PS. If you're having trouble restoring from Titanium, then install and flash the new SuperSU. The superSU in the rom wouldn't allow me to restore through titanium
Nice and smooth Rom:thumbup::thumbup::beer::beer: thanx for your hard work that you put into this rom im liking this.

Sorry, perhaps I should have clarified. My EVO is only a WiFi device. I don't use mobile data.

My data handoff has been a lot better. I haven't had a problem with it all day. The only issue I have been having (which is Google's fault) is wifi doesn't want to connect to my router at school, but my nexus 10 has the same issue, so I don't know if there is much a person can do.
[Q] Is there a toggle to have the notification light turn on while charging? I have searched the settings and not found anything. Am I missing it, or is it not an option?

Will you be considering building a version from old partition layout?
Thanks mass for keeping this device alive.

I'm super happy theres finally a project using halo. I missed it very much. thank you!!!!
I know there's an easy fix for this problem (i.e. downloading an sms app) but I have an issue with the stock messaging app with it limiting texts to 160 characters. You have to send it and then start writing the next message instead of splitting the message up into multiple parts. Just a PSA
This is actually i pretty decent rom i just flashed this today after doing a full wipe internal Sd and everything rom is running flawless good job GoblinZ

I am experiencing issues with the preferred network type. It keeps setting to default GSM/WCDMA/LTE which is making me have no service at all. I keep changing it back to CDMA/EvDo/LTE and it keeps changing itself back to its default.
