I have a question regarding ROMS and Rooting an android device. Currently, I am looking to upgrade into a new phone like the LG G2. The question that I have are the following:
- Is it easier to have compatibility for LG G2 over other devices or is it about the same?
- Is it easier to root on different phone such as a Galaxy S4 over LG G2 (or not that popular android devices)
- Custom ROM available to device like LG G2 ? Is it hard to obtain releases compatible for LG G2.

So I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab and I have been asking what is rooting an android device? What benefits you get? Can you change your android version for example: ANDROID FRYO TO ANDROID ICE CREAM SANDWICH? I just want to know this.

I own a LG Prada 3.0, also called LG P940.
I rooted my phone a while back and installed an ICS rom, thanks to a tutorial provided by another member. It works like a charm.
Now, will there be at some point in the future any work done to allow this phone to update to Android KitKat 4.4? Or is the LG Prada 3.0 considered too obsolete and outdated to even hope for an update ? (forget about the LG people, they've already released the ICS update a while back only for a few countries).

I have Android phone LG G2 (Korean - LG F320L ). I used to have iPhone and this is my first Android and have little concern over its performance despite the fact it has very good hardware specs. So was considering installing Stock Android on it and for this I need help from you guyz:
Is it possible to get latest unmodified-secure stock Android from Google or any other reliable source ?
Once I install stock Android ROM then on new updates, do I have to manullay patch those updates or would I be able just update my OS automatically from 'update menu' ?
If I only install apps from Google Play Store then am I still potential victim of spywares and viruses ?

I am looking for a ROM android 5 Lollipop at the device and can not find anything, anyone know if something already has available, or if I can use a G3 or Lg G2 ROM?

Hi everyone,
I need to install and run an app which needs Android 4.2 as its minimum requirement. Which of the ROMS for the LG Optimus L3 E400 do you think can do this? I have the impression that some of the ROMS look like Jellybean or Kitkat but are actually Gingerbread that was made to look like Jellybean or KitKat. My impression might be wrong, so its why I am asking which ROMS will actually register and run as Android 4.2.
