Hello everyone,
I cant post this problem in lyriquidperfections thread since this is my first post on xda so am not allowed to post in the development section.
Am trying to root Samsung Galaxy S2. Have followed the method given here to the letter by lyriquidperfection http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1125414 Am stuck on step 8 the phone is not rebooting and its stuck on "Downloading...Do not turn off the target!!"
Please have a look at my Odin screen in the attachment.
I think I'll have to switch off my phone now since by the time I get
any replies the battery will drain off.
Please help am stuck
EDIT: Sorry guys its my fault. The problem was that the insecure kernel which I had downloaded was not a complete file. Its file size is 8 mb whereas only 6.14 mb was downloaded. Extremely sorry for my silly mistake. Had become panicky after the screen got stuck hence posted here quickly.
Can you explain your problem in more detail. stuck at step 8? Isn't that click start?

Hi calexus1182,
The problem is solved. Have mentioned the mistake in the edit above.I've successfully rooted my Galaxy S2 using the above method. Now the next step
is to take the backup of the ROM and then install a custom ROM.
Thanks for your interest buddy
Cheers

Hello great xda-developer,
I found in threads where we have good solutions for rooting ubislate 7+.
Datawind team is recently launched new Aakash 2 (Ubislate 7Ci) which is andriod 4.0.* version. I have ordered my ubislate on feb 12 and upgraded recently for the same version. I will be getting this in weeks of time. I wanted your help on this.
Could you please provide the steps for rooting this device Ubislate 7Ci) and also heard that this device has data card connectivity which is restricted to either Tata Photon (for kernal root version is#024) and huawei e353 (for kernal root version is#182) as mentioned by datawind team. It will not detect any other data card like (my datacard) Macromax MMX 353g 3g datacard. Could you please crack the kernel version which should supports all data cards…that would be the great help for all us indian….Please take this has challenge..Keep me updates on this blogs..
Thanks

I have successfully rooted using script here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1886460
I have also sent mail to Datawind to release kernel sources. Once I receive them, development will be started.
I won't be developing here on XDA, I'm MADTeam moderator and will post there. Don't ask about ETA. I'll start developing after this March.
can you please tell me the process of rooting ubislate 7ci step by step..

I have followed the process explained in ROOTING your Ubislate 7ci to install ADB drivers and root my Ubislate 7ci.
Great.
Now time for custom ROM.
But before that we need kernel sources.
Email datawind tech support. Call them. Make pressure. Ask them to release it immediately as they're violating GNU GPL license.
Do let me know if we got anything.
Edit: Whoa! Interesting thing I came to know:
I was preparing up to build CWM, I did searched for recovery partition. But it was pretty hard, as there's no mtd in /proc
I contacted a Recognized Developer psyke83, he did some checks and we concluded that Datawind most probably stolen codes from a Chinese company Allwinner.
Allwinner's tab partition / build is 99% similar to Ubislate. This all happen (I pretend), as Allwinner gave license to manufacture around 10,000 model of their tab.
And datawind used their code to build Ubislate series (Even hardware specs is similar too).
TL;DR
This means datawind might not easily release kernel sources. Threaten them. We need to get kernel sources, as they might have modified a few things.
This will also reveal their secret.
Edit 2: Tab is Skytex Skypad Alpha 2. Don't flash anything from that tab, now.

I used a CWM recovery which is meant for Allwinner tab and it worked in Ubislate 7ci . I have attached it here Please use it at your discretion, No guarentees that it will work in your device.WARNINGAfter this recovery I flashed an incompatible CWM touch recovery which softbricked my 7ci

Great.
Now, please sign this https://www.change.org/en-IN/petitions/datawind-release-kernel-source-code-for-ubislate-devices-2 petition, so that we can get kernel sources.
Everyone, please sign this petition. We'll get custom ROMs after kernel source code release.
My Ubislate7Ci tablet hangs at booting (Stuck by displaying Android). I tried to reset the tab by pressing Power+Vol Up keys. But it again stuck at
boot loader showing an image (Android logo+Exclamation marks). How to recover these tab?

Yes. You can download adb.exe and supporting DLLs from the multiple avenues available and use it. You probably would need the Google driver from android SDK for your device to be recognized by adb. I have attached the copy of my drivers.
How do i install it?
can anyone write a small detailed guide to root our ubislate7ci with minimum resources(i mean a guide that makes use of small resouce files like the drivers from the above post)

Do you want a small or detailed guide?
Here are the steps I followed to root my device. You could follow all the steps or drivers part by using the drivers from my last post.

Hi Guys,
I have a problem and am hoping you guys can help me out! I've rooted my mobile, Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 using the help of XDA forum. Later, I tried to remove the Samsung default apps using Root explorer and ended up deleting one random app which is now causing the issue.
Now I'm not able to install any app in my mobile, however I am able to use the existing apps properly. But, if I update the existing apps I am getting an error message.
Can anyone please let me know how to resolve this and again install news apps in my mobile? Any steps to resolve the issue is highly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
Dayasagar.

Galaxy S3 NEO 4.4.2 GT-I9201I SuperSU Problem
Hey XDA Devolpers readers, can someone help me?
Two days ago I root my Samsung Galaxy S3 NEO version 4.4.2 via Odin 3.10 and CF-Auto-Root (downloaded from this WebSite).
Before i root my device, all work's perfectly (I used programs that require root and work perfectly), but when passed 2 days, I opened SuperSU and a message appeared saying :
" There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it.
This is a problem! If you just upgraded to Android 4.3, you need to manually re-root - consult the revelant forums for your device! "
I tried to update but it did'nt work.
Can someone help me? Thank's! Sorry for my English..

You need to go to the s3 neo thread, this is for the i9300 and anything here will break your phone.
