I have just modded it to make it better....
I have changed the icon and default album art pic ( as they were pink.... And I hate pink. )
STEPS TO INSTALL
Just replace the stock music player in system/app
Using root explorer
Set permissions to rw--r--
Reboot
Press thanks if u like it !!!

hello all of you this time the lovely cyanogen mod music player is here this is an orignal music player of cyanogen mod.
how to install:
for those who are running non-stock versoin of ginger bread on galaxy y
1-download cyanogen mod music player
2-by using root explorer remove samsung music player
3-now restart you phone
4-install cm7 music player
5-enjoy
for thoses who are using custom rom like creed rom instruction here
1-note that you didt have samsung music player
2-download cm7 music player
3-install it enjoy

Have tried extracting MIUI music app from MIUI 2.3.9 rom & copying it to /system/app (rom is CM7.2 latest nightly) then - renaming stock Music.apk to Music.bak - then renaming MIUIMusic.apk to Music.apk - changing permissions to rw-r--r-- then rebooting
& upon reboot =>>> :fail: process error
anyone got the/a MIUI music app working on CM7?? & could you fill in anything I'm missing from above procedure?

works a treat... just wanted the exclude songs under (e.g) 2MB
have a shiz load of ringtones that clog up CM7 stock player with no way to exclude them
(please advise if there is a way to exclude folder(s)/smaller sized music files within CM7 music player)

I tried just download it, paste to system/app, change permission, and reboot, but this dont work
I albo found in google .zip pack for ICS, but after flash it in CWM, walkman force close.

I'm using stock ics 4.0.3, xperia ics walkman with dsp manager it works fine. Expect dsp manager do not work sometimes
But, you use orginal walkman from LWW or xperia s walkman? I want use stock LWW walkman, because i want to keep light effects.

1. Music

Hi S4 mini users After some days i tested some off the S5 apps that work on our S4 mini (GT-9195 Kitkat rom)
I don't know if these apps are work on jelly bean (4.2.2)
So here is the List of the apps these are working on GT-9195 No FC no lag nothing for me ! Only bit more Ram usage.
EDIT: U need S5 launcher for AccuWeather if u not instal S5 launcher your AccuWeather will be 4x3 not 4x2

i made magazine s note 3 scrapbook work on s 4 mini 4.2.2 as all file including its around 200 mb so its hard for me to upload and as s5 launcher needs a magazine to work within launcher i cant make that happen connecting launcher with magazine so the launcher doesnt work it force closes weather and file manager is in s3 app section and it works for us on 4.2.2

As author said, without touchwiz it doesn't want to even install (SNotes) on cyanogen 11 20140628 nightly (GT-I9505) what a shame...

I put the apks on system with rw-r--r-- permissions but when I reboot i have the old apps, why ?
i think the apps are not good, espacially the weather one its from march.

you need to delete old app apk file and odex file if odexed rom then only it will work

Did you instal The S5 Touchwiz ? I had the same promblem whit the weather widget than I instaled the S5 Touchwiz and worked

has anyone got the s5 music player to work.. ive flashed both the normal and odex versions but both say each time i open music that music has stopped, it doesnt fc, just refuses to play music and the now playing screen is white.. any solutions to this

original code:
