Currently i am using 2 phones.. Galaxy NOTE and Galaxy neXus. both running custom ROMs
neXus is using stock JB , with original sounds - GNote is using typical CM10/AOKP sounds..
can someone guide me or provide me a link on how to get the system sounds that the ROM my neXus is running onto the Galaxy NOTE ?

Use Root Explorer or similar app. Browse to the root if your phone. Locate the System folder and open it.Inside is a media folder with all the system sounds.

Hello everyone,
I installed a stock ROM using Odin, then rooted my phone and used the Aroma bloatware remover. I think that in the process I accidentally removed the S Note application.
Is there a way to manually install the apk or do I have to reflash the ROM?
Thanks
Easier for u to reflash or extract the snote.apk from your rom system/app. Paste then fix permissions.

The link you gave is for the kernel source code. Not the ROM.

Go to sammobile.com and search for gt-i5500 ROM's. You'll get all the stock ROM's you need. For gingerbread, use cyanogenmod 7.

Can I ask why you wouldn't just download a custom rom? You're making a lot of work for yourself by building on stock... CyanogenMod is stable now by the way and everything works so I don't see why you need to mod stock?
To be honest stock roms work best on this device I only have to edit and tweak a few things and add some scripts the hardest part for me will be the theme side of things and I can also port so I just want to try and make a good rom with no bugs with good performance without a rom that's already been modded

Themes and Apps ???
[READ THlS FlRST] POST QUESTIONS IN THE Q&A SECTION AND NOT HERE!!!!
Before you do this back up your rom in recovery, you are messing with a system app so things could mess up
The easiest way will be to go to the s4 forum and ask if someone could share it. The tedious way is to download an s4 rom from sammobile, extract the zip, remove the .md5 extension and open the .tar file in winrar, then look in system > app and find the video player.
Once you have the apk copy it to system/app and set permissions (can't remember the code but in es file explorer check the top row and first column of check boxes) then reboot and it should show up.
It might work it might not all stock apps require the TW framework and the TW framework on the s4 is different to the s3 remember to copy the current stock video player to your sd card just to be safe.
