Sim unlocking TMobile HTC One converted to google edition - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

I fully converted the TMobile HTC One to Google edition HTC One by changing the Model Id, CID and then flashed google edition firmware. This was a while ago and now I need to sim unlock the phone. I got the unlock code from TMobile but when i try to SIM unlock by inserting an ATT SIM it shows unsuccessful. Do I need to convert back to TMobile firmware in order to SIM unlock?
Anyone SIM unlocked a converted HTC One successfully?

You just need to flash any T-Mobile ROM and then do the sim unlock code .. After that is done you can go back and flash GE firmware.. All you need is the stock sense T-Mobile ROM then go back

SIM Unlock through Software

I know a lot of phones such as Samsung and HTC allow you to SIM Unlock your device when you root your phone, is it at all possible to do the same with the Nokia Lumia 710? Long story short, I ordered an unlock code for my device and its been 3 weeks and they have yet to give me a unlock code. I was hoping to find an alternative solution that would allow me to SIM Unlock my phone.
From what carrier is your phone?

T-Mobile is the carrier the phone is locked to, I am trying to use it on AT&T.
Do you try with code?

I purchased an unlock code but they told me that they could not locate it from any of their databases. I tried cellunlocker.net, I am trying another seller but I am hoping that I don't have the same issue.
The second place where I ordered an unlock code also said they could not obtain my unlock code.
Any reason why an unlock code wouldn't be listed in a database??
My Telus L800 is sim-unlocked via a code so I am not sure what to tell you really. Have you tried contacting T-Mobile for the code?

SIM Unlock by flashing ROM?
I have a T-Mobile USA locked Lumia 710, would it be possible to unlock by flashing this ROM:
1600.3031.8773.12121
059P8W2: Nokia 710 RM-809 VIVO BR Black v1 (No SIM Lock)
It seems to be built for the Brazilian carrier Vivo.

LG L9 P769 runs on any GSM network

LG L9 P769 has the ability to run on any GSM Network. T-Mobile, MetroPCS, AT&T...etc.
Running currently on AT&T
Running AntonX's custom tweaked cm11 KK4.4 on p769 with micro sim AT&T Gophone acct.
So how to do this?

Yeahhh what exactly was the point of this if you don't show us how?

Sorry guys I was just clarifying the question of whether or not it would run on any GSM network.
To do so you just need simply to unlock the phone by purchasing an unlock code online. There are numerous sites that sell and email the code to you within a 24 hr period. I just Googled unlock "LG Optimus L9 P769" (just enter your model). I purchased the unlock code for $7.
Then once your phone is unlocked just purchase sim card from GSM provider you would like to use. Insert sim into phone (find sim slot under battery) and activate phone with new service provider.
*There are two variants of the p769. T-Mobile and MetroPCS. Make sure you get the correct model info from your phone.

except on a bootloader that is locked you will have to change the apn settings.. which wont be easy, you have to modify a file by yourself..

I also have p769 with locked bootloader running kuma82's custom ROM for locked BL. Of which I've never had to manually add APN's. However I have had to add APN to unlocked BL version with custom ROM and doing so is actually quite simple.

[Q]Custom Rom on AT&T Desire 610 unlock SIM network?

Hi everyone. I'm new at this and was wondering if I install a custom Rom on AT&T HTC Desire 610 Go Phone, will I be able to use T-mobile instead of AT&T? Will it unlock or bypass the network so I don't need to get network unlock pin? I contacted AT&T customer service to unlock network pin but was told I need to activate service to get help with that. I really don't want to activate the phone only to get a network unlock code when I'll be using T-mobile after. If custom Rom won't do the trick is there a way to SIM-Unlock the phone or a tutorial? The Phone is brand new Bootloader unlocked with HTCDEV and rooted. Purchased at Target. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance to anyone with some insight on my dilemma
Nope. Requires supercid mode, which requires s-off, which we don't have yet. Only option is at&t. If you've got a friend with an at&t account in good standing, they might be able to do it for you.

Rooted & unlocked question

I'm selling my Sprint Note 3 that I had rooted before the lollipop upgrade. Since then I put a lollipop rom on it.
Two stupid noobie questions that I couldn't find answers to when I searched ..
1. Since I'm rooted am I also unlocked ... can he use an att Sim card and use it on att?
2. Do I need a specific rom that would make this possible ... or is there a way to test it to prove to him that it works?
Thanks for the answers.
Just FYI... There's a difference between unlocked carrier and unlocked boot loader.
You do not need a custom ROM to use another Sim card, but you need to unlock the carrier on the phone

Is there a way to tell if I did a carrier unlock? I don't really even remember what method I used to root it.
You unlock the boot loader to flash a custom rom?
To sim unlock you would have had to run SSU.app or GT.app to international unlock then odined a older radio mj4 or mi3. Then change the APNs to match the carrier's settings for internet and mms messages.
I called sprint and got the master unlock codes ... is there an easy way to unlock it now that I have those?

[Q] Unlocked ATT M8 Lollipop Update

Hi guys, since upgrading to a stock ATT M8 (from a rooted ATT M7) on December, I have wanted to do the Lollipop update, but I do not want to risk the phone by rooting it (maybe I could do it on a last case scenario). ATT recently pushed the OTA update to the M8, but mine is unlocked, and I'm currently using it on Claro PR, so when I check for updates it gives me nothing. So here goes my question, can I manually download and push the ATT update from HTC to the M8 (as it is on stock kit kat)? My only doubt is that since it's unlocked, could it brick during the process, or would it be alright? Thanks in advance!

Is it SIM unlocked or unlocked from HTC? Unlocked from HTC means it has no carrier branding/bloatware and can be used on any network, compared to SIM unlocked where its just an AT&T phone with AT&T apps and branding that is SIM unlocked. If its unlocked from HTC you could just use an RUU to update. If its SIM unlocked from AT&T you could use an RUU but I'm unaware if that would then break the SIM unlock.

Sim unlocked (with ATT Bloatware and branding).
So, should I do it?
