z ultra + wireless xbox 360 posible ? - Sony Xperia Z Ultra

is it posible to pair a xbox 360 wirless controller whit the z ultra
or do i need to buy a ps3 wirless controller ?

Yup, that's not a problem. You'll have to use an USB OTG cable (same as when you want to connect a PS3-controller).

Xbox controller do not use bluetooth. Only PC version with the USB key given with can work with Otg. Or a wire xbox controller (charge cable can't be use)

Works flawlessly
Connect to your HDTV with HDMI cable and play
Even better
And Xbox360 wireless remote????
It works but you'll need the x360 wireless receiver pluged into USB -> microUSB cable pluged into your NEO.
Even WIRED X360 controller works on Neo V!

Xbox 360 controller with charging cable

I tried connecting this controller to my Att s3 with no luck. It's a wireless controller but has the plug in cable to charge it while playing. This setup does not work, I can't get the usb app to recognize the controller. Is there a trick to this or does it only work with the wired controller?

From my understanding it only works with a wired controller. Or a Bluetooth PS3 Controller. Same applies to my Transformer prime. Also note that you do have to download the SixAxis App for the PS3 controller.

I thought you only needed that app for pre-ICS ? Have read a few places that ICS natively supports PS3 controllers...
I tried the ps3 controller and it is natively supported, at least through usb. I haven't tried bluetooth yet.

The Play-and-Charge cable is just that: a charger. It doesn't carry data signals. To use a wireless 360 controller on anything that isn't a 360, you need one of these: Microsoft Xbox 360™ Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows®
I have 2 of them, they work great on a PC, but I've never tried them on a mobile device.

OTG cable with PS2 controller?

I have the international s3 and running Omega ROM. I would like to play games with a controller and read that a OTG cable will be needed which I can try to find and buy but my question is, will it work with a ps2 controller since I have so many of those laying around? Or will it only work with Ps3 and Xbox360 controllers?
You can get an adapter for about $4 to use Ps2 controller on Ps3 and if you plug it into OTG it will recognise a Ps2 controller as if it was a Ps3.

Did you get it? I have two ps2 controllers and I would like to use them with my S3. But I wouldn't buy the adapter if it is not possible. Thanks.
I think it will work with almost any controller over USB OTG with the app Sixaxis Controller https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dancingpixelstudios.sixaxiscontroller ... using controllers with bluetooth though... pain in the ass!

PS2 controllers have a very large custom plug which does not even look anything like a USB plug.
PS3 controllers have a normal USB-plug, hence Michael_P's recommendation of getting a PS2->PS3 controller adapter and then plug that adapter into the USB-OTG.

Thanks, I forgot this important detail. But I have an old PC controller (Logitech), so I bought the USB-OTG adapter and I will try with it.
Every controller has it's own layout, so it might not work at all or only through (commercial) Support apps like Joystick Center
(Remember that you cannot install your old driver on the phone)
I have already the OTG-USB and it works perfectly with my Logitech RumblePad 2 (I had to search it in my storage room).
It moves thought the desktop and I can push the icons. But I tried two games:
- In Virtua tennis doesn't work the buttons
- In Asphalt 7 doesn't work the joysticks
Do you known if could I use an app as this one (it is of paid and I would like to be sure):

i got one and using ps2 to usb and sub to mciro sub for connecting to my s4 it light up 9the red square in buttom) i push it but none of buttons do anything
Maybe you have too many adapters

[Q] Dualshock and Bluetooth

I consider buying a Xperia Tablet Z but i have few questions: (Google and search did n't hlpd)
1. It's possible to connect 2x Dualshock 3 controllers via bluetooth and play multiplayer games on tablet?
2. There's any info about Dualshock 4 support later on?
3. Its possible to use 2 x Dualshock 3 controllers + bluetooth headphones at the same time?
4. Its possible to charge MDR1-RBT headphones via charger that comes with tablet?
5. Its possible to charge MDR1-RBT headphones via USB OTG cabble on tablet?
ADDED:
6. Xperia Tablet Z (LTE, 16GB ver) supports Micro SD 32GB UHS-1? (SR32UYA)
BUMP
4) Yes, if Micro-USB <> Micro-USB its no Problem...

You 100% sure?
I asked that sony support and few peoples said i can charge MDR1-RBT only via USB cabble to PC, some peoples form sony support said that i can only via USB to pc and "special" Adaptor (they gave me links) but those was the same specifications as Ep880 from Xperia tablet z...
I heard that normal USB via PC is 500mA
Adaptor that SONY linked me to charge headset is 1500mA
Xperia Tablet Z charger is 1500mA ... But some of sony's support said it should be charged only by USB to PC or linked "special" adaptor...
Im still not sure if i should or not charge it with that charger, i dont want to break really expensive headset... SONY support is a joke...
PS. Yes its all Micro-USB of course.

1. It's possible to connect 2x Dualshock 3 controllers via bluetooth and play multiplayer games on tablet? I don't think so, you can only pair one at a time.
2. There's any info about Dualshock 4 support later on? Don't know but why not in 2014...
3. Its possible to use 2 x Dualshock 3 controllers + bluetooth headphones at the same time? One DS3 and BT SBH50 worked for me
4. Its possible to charge MDR1-RBT headphones via charger that comes with tablet? Why not? I got a charger with my Liveview which is less powerful than the Mobile/Tablet charger I use it for my accessories.
5. Its possible to charge MDR1-RBT headphones via USB OTG cabble on tablet? No
ADDED:
6. Xperia Tablet Z (LTE, 16GB ver) supports Micro SD 32GB UHS-1? (SR32UYA) No reason why it would not works, I have one in XZ and no probs.

Thank you for answers but:
1. Some say its possible and some its not...(On xda forums someone said its possible) Can anyone confirm that?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2310604
Ok, my bad, thought it wasn't possible.
I tried DS3+BT headset, charging while OTG connected (didn't work with my SBH50). I don't have 2 DS3 to check.

Anyone?
Also curious about multiple DS3, yes it would be horrendous having more than 1 person crowding around the 10" screen but imagine the tablet's connected to a TV via MHL HDMI, all of the emulation potential!

Yeah that's why i want it...
2x DS3 wirelessly + NES, SNES, PSX and other retro consoles in one on HD TV via MGL HDMI. That would be awesome!
I got 2 DS3 but i don't have tablet yet. Even if it does not support 2 pads, sixaxis controller does...
Can anyone test it and give screens or some kind of proof that it works?

Can't they both work wireless? Can you test if mapping works in emulator for both controllers?
My One controller was dead so had to have it wired. I'll test them both tonight when I get home from work

Thank You, im waiting.
K so paired two dual shocks and sadly it doesn't work when two are paired they seem to get confused think the only way to do it is one person use controller One use tablet which defeats the purpose. Maybe if there way a way or a app to get the tablet to recognize that it's two separate controllers. I have a Xbox 360 wired controller I will try using it and a dual shock but then again you wouldn't be able yo use hdmi

Z Ultra - Sony PS3 Controller Not Connecting

Hey, Hope all dng great!!!.
I got a new Sony PS3 DualShock Controller which I am trying to connect to Sony Xperia Z Ultra (Having 4.4.4 version).
What I have:
1. Mini USB OTG Cable
2. Z Ultar Default charger cable (I doubt this cable may be the issue, but not sure)
Charger Cable I inserted in to Z ultra and other end I have inserted in to USB A female port and the mini usb male is in to PS3 controller.
Settings --->Xperia Connectivity -->DualShock Controller-->ConnectionStatus and BatteryStatus in Disabled mode
Settings --->Xperia Connectivity -->DualShock Controller-->How to Connect Controller Screen -- Next button is disabled.
Please see the attached IMAGE for more info.
Please help me to understand what could be the issue?
Thanks in advance,
Cdhar
I've had issues with otg and the ps3 controller. I suggest you buy a case, and a universal gameklip total is about 30 bucks. It's probably the otg cable. If you're rooted download the sixaxis app, connect controller and update master address. If it doesn't work there's no connection with the cable
You have to connect OTG cable to Z Ultra (male microUSB, female USB) and normal data/charging cable to Dualshock3 (male miniUSB, male USB).
Because what you did is bad.
It has to be in this order. (see attachment)
Don't make it hard for him.http://www.primuscable.com/store/p/...NAr8FptRg2bDMhfzZwpKqGzm1_aNlDmHvgaAhqV8P8HAQ
Just get that cable it's what I used. You can connect to your zu and ps3 controller and setup wireless play, that's all you need.
But how can you connect miniUSB to Xperia ??? You need OTG cable for mobile phone and cable to connect Dualshock to OTG ...
looks like this (sorry I had only old N8 and Rumblepad2 ...)

I attached photo of cable
Here you go to explain it's a cable that has ps3 Micro usb and on other end is Micro for Android. Once synced up your Xperia will detect it, follow instructions. Otg is outdated imo
Do not mistake micro for mini... even the cable in link you posted is mini-mini, not micro-mini

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I got the cable now but this time at least I can see the ps3 controller lights are blinking once I connect to z ultra. but there no luck still z ultra is showing disabled 'Connection Status' and Next buttons in Dulashock 3 wireless controller options in the phone.
Please help me to understand what other options I can try.

Thanks,
Cdhar
