Switch launchers? Nova/Apex/Holo. I prefer Smart Launcher, because I like custom UI launchers more than stock Android launchers.

Well, is there any program that makes Android menu "sideways" instead of down? List is soo long, would be much easier just to scroll sideways.
If this has been asked before, sorry, but couldnt find any when I searched
What menu specifically?

If you mean your application menu, i believe ADW launcher has a setting for this (or LauncherPro).. i forgot which one it exactly was, but i've seen it for sure with one of these
That of course, if you mean your application menu
Sorry, yes, application menu, but if I get adw or launcher.pro, do I have to get rid of sense then?

That...is a very good question.
I only used ADW or LauncherPro on non Sense builds. I honestly have no idea if they work with Sense too..

ADW launcher replaces the sense launcher... And it's the one that has the horizontal application scroller. There must be a way to do side scrolling though inside some app drawers like Launcher Pro and SenseUI.

Crap, don't want to replace Sense.
Anyone else maybe know this?
Sorry, but bump?
I have been trying a lot of android builds and I guess that the only place where I came across the horizontal scrolling option were in non-sense ( ) builds. I prefer sense too... so its a shame. Hoping someone can help with this one ..
Where can I find aosp lockscreen? I dont like widget locker and deleting the sense lock screen looks like a mess. Is there a way to just flash an aosp one? Thanks!

Android AOSP's lock screen is transparent. i believe there are applications out there that will allow one to change the lock screen image even if on AOSP style ROMS.
might want to look into this http://market.android.com/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker

I am not familiar with scripting so i do not know if that is possible. I know the link i posted ealier is simple way to get a AOSP lock screen. if that is what you are wanting. and it contains a flash-able Sense Lock screen.
That method is weird. You can see the icon instead of just you're wallpaper. Someone could probably pull the apk apart and set a wallpaper in it, but im not sure.

"Pulling" the Lockscreen.apk out of CM6/CM7 would be the same as deleting the HTCLockscreen.apk on a Sense-based ROM. the CM6/7 Lockscreen is a version of the AOSP Lockscreen, deleting HTCLockscreen.apk forces the OS to revert to the AOSP Lockscreen.
Option 94, you talking about the screen caps of Widget Locker? id ya are your not seeing them through the lockscreen, they are on the lock screen.
I looked through the forums and couldn't find a good answer. I really like the bottom sense dock in one of the older roms that I used and wanna use that to replace the bottom htc dock that I have on right now....(the app drawer phone and widget sense bar at the bottom). Is there any way I can switch them out?

There may be a simpler way I'm unaware of, off the top of my head, but you could set up LauncherPro Plus to look like it. It's not that far off the way it comes already.
Is there a way to hide certain apps from the app drawer without rooting? I know there are different launchers that are able to do this but I like the stock Sense launcher.
Also, Is there a way to remove the recent apps from the notification bar?
Thanks in advance.

I could be totally wrong here but it seems like what you're asking for is going to require root.

Even if I rooted, I think the only way would be for me to use Root Explorer and renaming the .apk file to .bak... Unless anyone else knows of other methods?
Why do you want to hide them? Are you trying to hide bloatware w/o rooting?
I think rooting is going to be the way to go. Sure you can find some launchers that hide them, but Sense doesn't play nicely with them.
I use launcher pro (rooted, BeastMOD 1.3.1), so I have two docks with 5 icons each with a standard and a swipe gesture. i also have widgets for more important things, so the ONLY use I have for my app drawer is to access apps that I use relatively rarely.
For example, I have the Digital Clock widget on my home screen. I have zero use to look at an icon for it taking up space in my app drawer.
I have a similar (but different) question. Is is possible to organize the downloaded apps in the drawer in alphabetical order? It currently puts the most recently dl'd apps at the top, making finding apps a pain in the ass. My phone is stock and unrooted.

Without rooting I guess you must use some launcher with function to hide or grouping.
I used ADW EX and it caused no problem with stock Sense. With ADW you can set up groups and put apps that you don't like into a group and name it "junk" or something like that and never touching that group when open app drawer ...
Edit: Sorry for my replied making no sense since you stated that you wanted Sense ... Just disregard this post
Oh well...sense is too nice to give up for another launcher..

They seem a little inconsistent. Some have a shadow, most don't. And I think the shadows are in different directions on some icons (although it's hard for me to tell for sure right now).

Funny, inconsistent was the first word that came to my mind as well.
I find the best Icon Packs in the Play Store are SUPER consistent.
Yeah I just made them with the stock launcher feature that allows you to use any image in your gallery as an icon lol its a pretty cool feature and I updated my play store icon.
New icons
Some different ones
What is this stock launcher feature you speak of?

Long press on an icon on your home screen and let go and there will be a purple icon on your app icon, just click it and you can set the icon as any image in your gallery
