[FIX][WorkAround] JB StatusBar Bug (image stuck) - HTC Desire X

Hi guys,
Tinkering with Xposed framework, i happened to use some statusbar mods, namely "centre clock", and after applying it, i observed the JB statusbar image not scrolling bug is GONE.
See attached pics for proof
If need instruction how to do what i did, PM me, or ask in this thread and someone will explain to you.
Regards
Yasir

If you pull down status bar and re-check, it scrolls fine?
xpirt

Tried it.it works.

Tested it too. Works like a charm, even after pulling status bar down!

Search xposed framework on xda and official thread tell what it is.
Btw through xposed framework (an app) you can edit colours, images on your phone (statusbar images for ex.) without decompiling apks
xpirt

Its an apk
Install it (http://dl.xposed.info/latest.apk)
Run it
Using one of its options, Install its framework
Then using same app, download modules, then enable the modules. Then run those individual modules from app drawer and change whatever you want
Reboot. And done.

Uncheck in app..... it gives you the option in the app to CLEAN everything..
Its nothing but a htcframework + framework#2(xposed)..... that way, they combine to become one, and xposed app overwrites on top of sense framework.....
once you uninstall it, everything reverts back to normal like it was.

You're right, I should have pressed your thanks button. Such a great discovery!

I wonder if this would solve the statusbar not updating when the time changes or when a new app is opened for Sense 5 on HTC One V..

Yes it is. It's a clean port from Desire 600 Sense 5 no mods or anything done to it ATM.

Ok I installed the Xposed app and let it work but now I can't find the ''centre clock'' module anywhere

@GtrCraft Install this module and you will find it

Thanks :victory: learning something new with this everyday

For anyone who might not like the center clock you can also set the background color of the status bar to black(or anything else) to fix the bug. That way status bar will be as before and you will have solved the problem!

There is an app that basically does the same thing:

I use that and it's ace but I find it often 'slips' down the notifications list. Is there some trick to making it stay at the top?

It does that occasionally for me too. Guess that's the downside of it being an app instead of systemui mod. But at least it works.
Also if you want the gps / nfc to be direct toggles and you have root. Make a system app of it: http://vps201.fra05-inx03.webhod.de/thomas/j4velin_development/dl-root.php?app=nt
/edit: in the settings of the app there is a toggle "display in the on-going no notifications section". Seem like if you uncheck it, it will be moved back to the top.
It looks pretty nice too. The CM9 icons you can download from within the app fit the xps theme pretty well:
Yeah I have it as a system app and use the CM icons.

That doesn't seem to make any difference for me. It still drops below most new notifications. Ah well, it'll do until some modded SystemUI's start to appear.
I'm working on it but i dosen't loads becose of the odex file when somebody wil deodex the room i have it ready!

I have most the firmware deodexed already to do notification toggles plus do power button restart / reboot to cwm.
I can upload the deodexed framework/res and android.policy jars when I get home so we can do the above.
Having trouble deodexing qcrilhook.odex tho.
Edit: These are NOT pre-modded, just stock ready for your modding pleasure.
Deodexed the following:
-android.policy.jar
-framework-res.apk
-framework.jar
-SystemUI.apk

thanks mate but pls can u upload them to box or something else the framework res are damaged i really need them!

to be sure upload them all on external site pls
Another great app for showing toggles in the notification area is Power Controls: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc
Unlike Notification toggle, it DOES stay above other notifications. Pretty awesome all round.

Does not support Reboot and Shutdown, so: no
If you're just looking for an app to add notification widgets I use "elixir 2" it does this and more, I've just got resource monitoring activated temp, cpu, mem, sdcard, internal etc on the notification bar but u can add buttons and apps etc also.
But I think we want the real deal ;-)

same problem here! but i have an idea, i cannot test because i'm at work! since SystemUI.apk is framework dependent we must deodex the framework files first ! if you have some time to test let me know if it works!

I suspect you'll need the SemcGenericUxpRes.apk framework file as dependency when decompiling.

[MOD-SYSTEMUI] Transparent status bar **Only for sense roms**

I wanted to have transparent status bar for months and after struggling, i present you my mod'ed framework that will give you the transparent status bar you always wanted (LOL sounds like a promising advertisment!)
This framework is from Rempuzzle rom, i havent tested this on any other sense rom but Rempuzzle. Also i made this on the new framework of rempuzzle with the new graphics so use it on it.
1 - Backup your previous framework just in case or backup whole rom if you are bored to reflash framework-res.apk
2 - Just flash my zip file through clockwork and you'll be all set. If you find any problem when flashing just extract framework-res and push it to /system/framework
3 - After flashing check the permissions on framework-res.apk and see if they are rw-r-r
4 - Leave a thanks or tell me if it didnt work for anyone!
For months you say!! Well you didn't search much then did you? There's a few already been posted and I know this because one of them is mine lol, which also has modded notifications and statusbar icons.
Good though

You can't, the white, grey or black you see behind the statusbar is determined by the background in the app so you'd have to edit every app causing the problem which is more trouble than its worth.

I believe its better not to have transparent statusbar because things overlap and background changes, but anyway !

Very cool tweaking app

I had no idea such customization could be done with a single app without a custom rom.
i disable several icons, moved my clock to the cetner, removed am/pm, made my notification panel transparent, and several other tweaks, and there doesn't seem to be any affect on battery or performance that i can tell.
here is the original thread
it is for the AT&T S4 but most things work for our verizon S4.
**Must be rooted**
To use
1. install the exposed framework
2. open up the Xposed installer and hit "Install/update"
3. install the app found here (i'm on version 3)
4. open up the exposed installer, go to the modules tab, and put a check mark in the "nottach Xposed [3.0]
5. Open the Nottach Xposed program and make your changes, then use that app to reboot. It doesn't seem to ask for root permission until you use it to reboot.
Update: I'm now on v4 but many of the newer tweaks don't work for my stock odexed rom, but if you deodexed many additional tweaks work including the circle battery.
Update2: I'm now on v5 still stock odexed and circle battery now works!! I will be installing MyComputerDoctors deodexed rom so i can get rid of GPS Recticle with this, then ascetically i'm not sure i really need much more...
Update3: I'm not on Scott's CleanROM Lite 1.1 Odexed and NottachXposed v7. Everything that i use still works. I've added a few more caps to show the possibilities. (give Scott some thanks for his ROM, with his rom and this app, i really don't know what more i need)
Update4: 1 user reported that NottachXposed v8 did not work for them. I'm on CleanROM Lite 1.2 DeOdexed and v8 works just fine and no issues upgrading. I also see that Nottach has removed the older versions, if this is a problem for anyone then let me know and i'll get you a previous version.
Update5: I'm still on CleanROM Lite 1.2 DeOdexed. Installed Nottach Xposed v10 and everything is still great. If something doesn't work then try updating Xposed Installer (not the program itself, but the framework it installs)
please note that i'm not a developer. I just know it works. Also, don't waist any thanks on me, please give them to the 2 developers that i've linked above (Nottach, rovo89) thank them as many times as you can, and then maybe a few to mbh87 as they are the first to point it out that it works for us on the Verizon S4.

Xposed have it's own benefit is it works on any jb /ics rom on most of devices. Also you need not to flash but simply apk install.
And of course it's free.
Though simplistic is features rich.
