Xda rules
FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
2. Member conduct.
2.1 Language: XDA is a worldwide community. As a result what is ‘ok’ to say in your part of the world may not be ok in someone else’s part of the world. Please think about who is reading what you write. Keep in mind that what you think of as acceptable use of language may not be acceptable to others. Conversely, while reading member posts, remember that word you find offensive may not be to the writer. Tolerance is a two way street.
2.2 Nudity: XDA is used by people of all ages, including minors. It's not acceptable to post nude/pornographic imagery, which includes exposure of the male or female genitalia or of female breasts.
2.3 Flaming: XDA was founded as a group of people sharing information about certain mobile phones. Sharing does not involve virtual yelling (flaming) it does involve working together to solve problems in an environment of mutual respect and understanding. Losing your temper and flaming another member, or group of members, is not acceptable behavior.
2.4 Personal attacks, racial, political and/or religious discussions:[/B] XDA is a discussion forum about certain mobile phones. Mobile phones are not racial, political, religious or personally offensive, therefore none of these types of discussions are permitted on XDA.
2.5 Courtesy towards other Members: Treat new members the way you would like to have been treated when you were a new member. When dealing with any member, provide them with guidance, advice and instruction when you can and always with respect and courtesy. Never post in a demanding, argumentative, disrespectful or self-righteous manner.
2.6 All members are expected to read and adhere to the XDA rules.
3. Post only using a clear subject and message.
You're most likely to receive a helpful answer to your question if you use a short subject title that describes your problem and a message that explains in detail what your problem is and what you've tried to solve it.
4. Use the English language.
We understand that with all the different nationalities not everyone speaks English well, but please try. If you're really unable to post in English use an online translator, You're free to include your original message in your own language below the English translation.
5. Post a message only once.
As a large forum we don't need unnecessary clutter, You're free to edit your message as you like, so if you do not receive an answer revisit your message and see if you can describe your problem better. Not everyone is online at the same time, it might take a while before you receive an answer.
6. Do not post warez.
If a piece of software requires you to pay to use it, then pay for it. We do not accept warez nor do we permit any member to promote or describe ways in which Warez, cracks, serial codes or other means of avoiding payment, can be obtained. This is a site of developers, i.e. the sort of people who create such software. When you cheat a software developer, you cheat us as a community
7. Do not spam.
If you wish to advertise a product, contact us we provide ads. But do not post it in the forums, it will be removed and you're likely to receive a ban.
You are however allowed to sell used goods like your own device, parts of your device or accessories for your device in the marketplace forum, please read the rules there before posting. (This rule includes signatures, if you use a signature it will appear in your post)
8. Donations.
We appreciate all donations to xda-developers.com, it keeps our forum online and well maintained. As a user you're allowed to ask for donations in your signature as a thank you for your hard work. However donations up front are not allowed, this forum is about sharing, not about getting paid to do something, that's what your job is for.
9. Don't get us in trouble.
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things that will obviously lead to legal trouble. If you wouldn't do it on your own homepage, you probably don't want to do it here either. This does not mean we agree with everything the software piracy lobby try to impose on us, it simply means you cannot break any laws here, since we'll end up dealing with legal hassle caused by you. Please use common sense: respect the forum, its users, and those that write great code.
10. Help others if you can.
If you see posts from others where you can help out, please do. This place exists because people are helping each other, and even if you are relatively new to the matter, there's probably already quite a few people newer than you that would benefit from what you've learned. Don't be shy.
11. Don’t post with the intention of selling something.
* Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar/substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
* Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software, or commercial services. unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.
* Encouraging members to participate in forum activities on other phone related sites is prohibited.
* Off-site downloads are permitted if the site is non-commercial and does not require registration.
* Off-site downloads from sites requiring registration are NOT encouraged but may be permitted if the following conditions are met:
A) the site belongs to a member of XDA-Developers with at least 1500 posts and 2 years membership who actively maintains XDA-Developers' support thread(s) / posts, related to the download,
B) the site is a relatively small personal website without commercial advertising/links (i.e. not a competitor forum-based site with purposes and aims similar to those of XDA-Developers.com.)
12. Using the work of others.
If you are developing something that is based on the work of another Member, you MUST first seek their permission, and you must give credit to the member whose work you used. If a dispute occurs about who developed / created a piece of work, first try to settle the matter by private message and NOT in open forum. If this fails then you may contact a moderator with clear evidence that the work was created by you.
Convincing evidence will result in copied work being removed. If there is no clear evidence you created the work then in the spirit of sharing all work will remain posted on the forums.
These rules apply to all software posted on XDA unless that software comes with a license that waives these rules.
13. Advertising and Income Generation
Commercial advertising, advertising referral links, pay per click links and other income generating methods are forbidden. Do not use xda-developers as a means to make money.
14. Create only one User Account
You are allowed one User Account at xda-developers. If you create additional accounts, Moderators will disable them and your original account may also be disabled or infracted.
15. Keep posts/threads on-topic
Whilst a minor amount of off-topic posting may be overlooked, the general rule is your posts / threads must be relevant to the Forum / thread in which you are posting.

Description
Vanilla RootBox is built straight from RootBox sources and always carries a very light installation with no extra/useless apps. This means, you can enjoy a pure Android experience combined with AOKP/CM features and some CM cherry-picks. Keep in mind Jelly Bean is only at the beginning stage of development and there will be minor bugs. Every RootBox releases are stable and always up to the challenge for a daily usage. I personally have a high standard when it comes to releases and this is why this project always meets the expectations of users. If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.

Contribute to RootBox
Those interested in making wallpapers and bootanimation for RootBox, send an email to [email protected] with the following:
Information
Name
Email
Wallpapers
Attach wallpaper in email
Three sizes are required: HDPI, XHDPI and Grouper
I'll review them and add the wallpapers in the next release. I will also choose the best one as the default wallpaper for official releases.
Bootanimation
Attach bootanimation or paste download link in the email.
Three sizes are required: HDPI, XHDPI and grouper
Wallpaper Resolution
HDPI: 960 x 800
XHDPI: 1440 x 1280
XHDPI: 1280 x 800
You can also contribute by creating icons for settings. Use proper sizes and always include compatibility for HDPI, XHDPI and grouper.
The reason behind this is very simple. I'm always busy and I've neglected the visual aspect of RootBox for a while now. It's time to polish it with new visuals!
How to Build RootBox from Source
Getting started
I will assume that you have some kind of knowledge with Linux and how to use a terminal. I will also assume that you have already setup all the android building requirements. First, you must create your working folder and initialize a repository with RootBox sources. The following steps will guide you in creating this working folder where you will be able to build RootBox.
You should now open a terminal (By default you should be in your home folder: /home/yourusername/)
Step 1: Let's create a folder in your home directory named RootBox. This will be referred as your working folder.
Code:
~$ mkdir RootBox
Step 2: Let's change our directory to the new RootBox folder we just created.
Code:
~$ cd RootBox
Step 3: Now that we are in our working folder (RootBox), we will initialize our RootBox repository by entering the following command:
Code:
~$ repo init -u git://github.com/Root-Box/platform_manifest.git -b jb-mr1
Step 4: It's now time to sync RootBox sources which could vary from a few minutes to a few hours depending on your internet connection.
Code:
~$ repo sync
Building Vanilla RootBox
Now that you have synced the sources, you're ready to build RootBox.
You can run the following build script:
Code:
~$ ./build_rootbox.sh -device- -sync- -thread-
Device: Choose between the following supported devices: i9100, i9100p, i9100g, i9300, d2att, mako and grouper
Sync: Will sync latest RootBox sources before building
Threads: Allows to choose a number of threads for syncing and building operation.
Examples:
1) Sync sources and Build RootBox for GT-I9100 with 12 threads
Code:
~$ ./build_rootbox.sh i9100 sync 12
2) Don't sync sources and Build RootBox for GT-I9300 with 6 threads
Code:
~$ ./build_rootbox.sh i9300 nosync 6
3) Don't sync sources and Build RootBox for SGH-I747 with 4 threads
Code:
~$ ./build_rootbox.sh d2att nosync 4
This script will make a signed flashable zip file located in out/target/product/-device-/RootBox-JB-(Device)-Nightly-(Date).zip

FAQ

HALO FAQ (some most discussed topics after day #1 with HALO on RootBox):
How to configure HALO?
There are three places where you configure HALO behavior:
1. Settings > RootBox Settings > HALO Settings where you configure basic HALO Notifications behavior
2. Settings > Apps > [Any App options] where you enable / disable concrete app Blacklist / Whitelist entry
3. Paranoid Android HALO))) App from Play Store where you configure apps for persistent notifications in so called floating mode.
What are options in Settings > RootBox Settings > HALO Settings?
- HALO policy allows you to choose between Blacklist (default) or Whitelist policy. In Blacklist mode are notifications from all app ON by default and you can explicitly configure some of them not to show HALO notifications by entering them to Blacklist. In Whitelist mode are notifications from all app OFF by default and you can explicitly configure some of them to show HALO notifications by entering them to Whitelist.
- Hide HALO after activity (disabled by default) allows you (if enabled) to hide HALO circle shortly after notification appears.
- Reverse HALO gestures changes behavior of dragging / tapping on HALO circle. Better to play with it or watch some youtube videos than describe this... Basics are: If enabled (default), then dragging is for tasking and double-tap swipe allows you to position circle or delete / deactivate it. If disabled, functions are reversed.
How to Blacklist / Whitelist apps?
Go to Settings > Apps > [Any App options] and there right under "Show notifications" checkbox you find either "Blacklist HALO notifications" or "Whitelist HALO notifications" according to policy set in HALO policy options.
What can I do using Paranoid Android HALO))) App?
Add some apps like Email, Gmail, Messaging, etc. using "+" button, press ">" button and you will see... You will have persistent notification in floating mode for those chosen apps. Try to drag HALO circle and you will get it.
How can I disable / deactivate HALO? (I don't want to see the circle on my screen)
Depending on your "Reverse HALO gestures" option:
- If enabled (default), then try quickly double-tap & swipe the circle. By this you will be able to position the circle or deactivate it by moving it to "trash".
- If disabled, then you can directly drag the circle. By this you will be able to position the circle or deactivate it by moving it to "trash".
How can I enable it again?
When HALO is deactivated, you can see special button in upper line of Notification drawer, that will activate it.
How can I uninstall HALO completely?
You can't. It is integral part of the ROM. You can only choose not to use it.
What if I cannot install .apk?
Wait for the next Nightly/Stable build. This will be solved. If you can't wait, then disable HALO, install what you need and enable it again.
Where can I find further information?
Take a look at this video by Oode.

If you're wondering how this ROM differs from any other AOKP roms out there, I only have one thing to say: Try it yourself and choose the one that meets your requirements.

Per-App Settings
This guide will help you setup your phone with new Per-App Settings.
First, all credits associate to Xposed Frameworks and Modules goes to Rovo89 for sharing his work and making it open source for everyone. You guys should all buy him a beer.
Steps to follow:
Install Xposed Frameworks by going in Modules Management>Install/Update
Enable Per-App Settings by going in Modules Management> Modules>Tick Per-App Settings (You should reboot your phone at this point)
Setup your phone : Per-App Settings>Choose your app>Set DPI/Resolution/Tablet UI/Language> Press Save on top
Your app should now display in your preferred settings. If it doesnt, kill the app and restart it or reboot phone.
Contribute to RootBox
Those interested in making wallpapers and bootanimation for RootBox, send an email to [email protected] with the following:
Information
Name
Email
Wallpapers
Attach wallpaper in email
Two sizes are required: HDPI and XHDPI
I'll review them and add the wallpapers in the next release. I will also choose the best one as the default wallpaper for official releases.
Bootanimation
Attach bootanimation or paste download link in the email.
Two sizes are required: HDPI and XHDPI
Wallpaper Resolution
HDPI: 960 x 800
XHDPI: 1440 x 1280
You can also contribute by creating icons for settings. Use proper sizes and always include compatibility for HDPI and XHDPI.
]
Building Vanilla RootBox
Now that you have synced the sources, you're ready to build RootBox.
You can run the following build script:
Code:
~$ . build_rootbox.sh -device- -sync- -thread- -clean-
Device: Choose between the following supported devices: i9100, i9100g, i9300, d2att, d2tmo, d2vzw, mako and grouper.
Sync: Will sync latest RootBox sources before building
Threads: Allows to choose a number of threads for syncing and building operation.
Clean: Will remove the entire out folder and start a clean build. (Use this at your discretion)
Examples:
1) Sync sources and Build RootBox for GT-I9100 with 12 threads
Code:
~$ . build_rootbox.sh i9100 sync 12
2) Don't sync sources, clean out folder and build RootBox for GT-I9300 with 6 threads
Code:
~$ . build_rootbox.sh i9300 nosync 6 clean
3) Don't sync sources, clean out folder and build RootBox for SGH-I747 with 4 threads
Code:
~$ . build_rootbox.sh d2att nosync 4 clean
4) Sync sources, clean out folder and build RootBox for Nexus 4 with 5 threads
Code:
~$ . build_rootbox.sh mako sync 5 clean
This script will make a signed flashable zip file located in out/target/product/-device-/RootBox-JB-(Device)-Nightly-(Date).zip
FORUM RULES
1. Search before posting.
Don’t use XDA to advertise your product or service. Proprietors of for-pay products or services, may use XDA to get feedback, provide beta access, or a free version of their product for XDA users and offer support, but not to post with the intention of selling. This includes promoting sites similar/substantially similar to XDA-Developers.com.
Do not post press releases, announcements, links to trial software, or commercial services. unless you’re posting an exclusive release for XDA-Developers.com.

Standard gapps DO NOT come with the Photosphere feature! You must use other, non-official gapps if thats what you want.
You must format your external sdcard to FAT32 before using it on this rom! Otherwise you will get currupted sdcard messages.
If you want to return to a 4.1.x ROM after flashing AOKP, flash madmacks restore-sdcard-after-downgrade.zip AFTER flashing/nandroiding back to your 4.1.x rom. You can get this .zip attached below.
Enjoy guys I am personally using this rom as my daily driver. Dont forget to thank those in credit section!

Ahh sh*t, this is my new daily driver bruddas. This ROM is sick. You get the the AOKP feel with optional navigation bars built into settings, no need to mod it into this ROM. You also get to tweek the DPI per app and xposed is built into settings also. This is truly a nice rom that I will be on for awhile. Thanks guys.

Does this rom have super high battery drain from android OS like all of the other aosp/aokp roms? Love aokp but I had about 6% battery drain overnight while the phone was asleep from android Os. Would absolutely love to flash this but I'm getting better battery on tw I don't know if everyone is getting battery drain the same way or not, if anyone has any suggestions or knows why, I would greatly appreciate info

Just curious and not calling you out at all, just saying in general but why are so much people obsessed with their battery and every single wakelock, drain, etc? Even if I am experiencing all of that, don't know/care really, my battery still lasts me plenty throughout the day listening to music, etc and still have 25%+ left over. And I leave my phone on the charger overnight so IDK/IDC if I'm getting battery drain. Does anyone else's battery not last throughout the day? Again not calling you out, just in general I've seen this in all of our AOSP threads.

MiLauncher for Tablets
I'm proud to announce the overhaul of the MIUI Launcher for Tablets.
It's been a very long time since I've updated the project, as when I left it, (due to not owning a tablet any more) I believed that it was working as I had intended on Tablets, sadly, as of Android 4.3 that was no longer the case.
With the release of Android 4.4 I obtained another tablet and decided to update the project. This is the result of my work, my research and the help of a few others, who will be mentioned below.
Please, provide feedback, hit thanks, and most importantly, enjoy it. Please understand that this is currently in beta, the bugs that it currently contains are all small graphical quality of life ones, and I'll be getting right on those.
As someone who is studying full time, please understand that I don't have a lot of free time, but I'll do my best to update this regularly and respond to any concerns or issues you may have.
I do not give permission for my work to be redistributed, direct linked or posted anywhere else other then XDA-developers.com or en.miui.com forums. Anyone who shares this must post a link to this thread and give credit.

Android 2.3-4.4 support

Beta 1:
31st March 2014
Initial re-release
Based off MiHome 2.22.0
Resolved an issue where the launcher would not open on Android 4.3 and 4.4 devices
Not really a ton to say as of yet
They're probably a little giant, brace yourself.

Bug or Graphical Issue / Work around
Beta 1:
The weather clock 4x2, Clock 2x1 and Clock 2x2 do not appear graphically correct on the HP Touchpad.
> Pending further feedback from other devices.
In the Launcher Settings -> Launcher: There is text that does not appear in english.
>This is the Hide Apps With a Pin Function.
Static Wallpapers seem blurred when using this launcher on the HP Touchpad.
> Pending further feedback from other devices, not sure if this is device specific or not, Live Wallpapers Seem to Work Fine.
There is text that does not appear in english in the themes market
Obviously as the market stuff is server side, I can't change that, however there may be a few local images > Pending further investigation.
MIUI Express Locker is terribly scaled, low res and buggy
> Disable Express Locker, which is stated in the install instructions anyway.
This is something I'm still looking into and I'm not sure if I can fix it, generally it's about as buggy and slow as most lock screen replacements anyway,
not sure if they've improved that from the last time I used MiHome on a phone > Pending further investigation.
If you have an issue be it graphical or performance based, the first step is to make sure it isn't a bug from your rom,
if you've excluded that possibility post in the main thread, for me to be able to do anything with it, you must include;
Code:
Your Device Name
Your Android Version
Your Current Rom
Your Device DPI
Version of this Launcher
The problem.
If you haven't followed the install instructions below, don't expect me to do anything to resolve your issue until you do.
Part 1:
Download and Install MiHome-Step1.apk
Once the launcher loads slide up from above the nav bar and hit "Launcher Settings."
Scroll down the options until you find "Cell Layout Type"
Hit it and select the option that suits your device best
Please choose wisely because you'll need to re-install the app to change this.
Part 2
Download and Install ZSC.mihome.BX.apk, (X being the latest version number)
You will be prompted to update MiHome, obviously confirm it.
Once MiHome loads, you may or may not notice a rather mangled looking clock widget.
I am aware of this and for the moment, delete it.
Head into launcher settings, if you don't have a physical menu button look in the next section.
Hit the "Lockscreen" option, uncheck "Use MiHome Locker",
this is the lockscreen replacement Xiaomi includes with the launcher.
It doesn't play well with larger screens or landscape as of the moment
Optional But Very Recommended
If you do not have a physical menu key,
long press an empty part of the screen and hit the "Toolbox" icon.
Select the "Launcher Settings" icon on the far right.
You'll see the icon is on your home screen, open the settings.
Hit the "Launcher" option, look down at the last option "Choose Swipe Up Gesture Function"
Hit it and select the last option "Swipe up to open Menu."
Now you can view all your options by sliding up from above the nav bar again!
If your transitions seem slow, or strange when changing home pages,
Head into "Launcher Settings", Hit Launcher
Hit "Screen Transition Effects" and select something other than "Classic",
This is optional, but Classic looks silly and makes the launcher seem less fluid.
It may also appear strangely on some devices.
Beta 1:
Step 1 - Refer to the Instructions
Step 2 - Refer to the Instructions
Code:
I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your device, but I highly doubt anything will.
Good job man, thanks for your efforts on this app.
The only thing is the default wallpaper is offset by about an inch from the top. Solved by changing wallpaper.I seem to remember that was an issue with classicnerds miui rom. Otherwise looking good!
Peace

Unfortunately I will no longer be updating this project as I am still quite sick and it works as intended for Tablets.
Public Service Announcement ♥
Howdy Everyone! Zerosuit Connor here,
For the past six months I've been very unwell and without an android device, but just recently I managed to obtain another tablet and I long for the sweet taste of MIUI. That's why I'm pleased to announce that I'll be updating this project with Android 4.4 support and a few fixes, so please look forward to that.
A little under a month ago I locked the downloads, by changing the public permissions, and I put the wrong type of privacy setting on the files. Meaning, that because of my mess-up, anyone with the links could send an email through Google drive and directly to my account. Because of the high volume of emails I got, I decided to leave the links like that to see what kind of demand there still was. This was the result.
In regards to the downloads being locked, that was due to a large number of sites either; direct linking to the download, or re-uploading it. The worst part about this was that many did not give me credit, and others took the credit for themselves. All of the formerly mentioned misdoings were against my wishes, and despite what was written on my original post and numerous warnings from myself, many of them still continued. I am sorry that you've all had to suffer because of this.
Thank you for your continued support, and I'll keep you posted! Within the next 1-2 days I'll be back with a few questions about the kind of devices you own! ♥
Updated, new overhauled version posted. Please thoroughly read the Original Post and Instructions. Thankyou.

Hey, this is awesome! I've been a longtime MIUI user, and was actually thinking about making a port for the tenderloin...but I think I'll wait for the V6/kitkat version.
In the meanwhile...have you seen that Xiaomi has released a beta of "MIUI Lite"?
http://en.miui.com/thread-18293-1-1.html
I know there's really no need for a dialer, but this could be quite handy for your purposes.

I'll take a good look at that actually, thanks for bringing it to my attention! I'm also quite interested in taking a look at V6 considering they've added auto-rotation.

You're welcome, and thanks for the compliments.
Just pushed version 0.2.0 to the store. These are the new features you should check out:
View your subscriptions
Display how many people thanked a user for a post
Fix: Login again if the current session expires
Visual tweaks affecting list items
Version 0.2.1 should be out soon. Usually, the review of a new version takes less than an hour. This is what you will get after the update:
Big forums (like XDA) load faster
Parse tags
[*]Multi-line header for long thread names
[/LIST]
The update reduces the time which it takes to load XDA on my Nexus 4 by about 10 seconds! :)
@Jaskaran498 I just saw your positive review in the Ubuntu store. Thank you very much for it.
Version 0.2.2 is sitting here, ready to be released, and guess what it will bring: The ability to subscribe to forums and threads. That will do what you want from a bookmarking feature, won't it?
And here it is: Version 0.2.2 of Forum Browser
Even though you won't notice too many changes in the UI, a huge amount of work has been put into completely rewriting the application's backend. This removed a lot of duplicate code, ironed out a couple of bugs and will result in faster development in the future.
The complete changelog:
Subscribe to forums and threads from the app
Show when a post was made
Introduces a completely rewritten backend, ironing out a lot of bugs and making the implementation of new features much faster in the future
Other bugfixes, especially related to the login process

Hi,
I'm glad you like it.
If you have any suggestions to improve the app further or if you find any bugs, feel free to mention those here.
By the way, I've got a new version sitting here ready to be shipped which will bring a better page for replying to threads. (It will even save drafts.) I just need some time at the weekend to create the final package and upload it to the store.
Moreover, I've started work on proper BB code parsing but it's still in a very early state. Don't expect that to be part of the next update.
I just discovered that Forum Browser is now listed as one of the six so called "Top Apps" in the Ubuntu store.
To celebrate that, I just released version 0.2.3 which ships with the following new features:
* Rewritten page for post and topic creation
* Automatically save drafts for new posts and topics
* Ability to set a custom signature
Additionally, I'll attach a screenshot of what I'm working on for version 0.3.0. I'm sure you'll notice the difference.
Version 0.2.4 is out!
It's mainly a bugfix release while working on proper BB code parsing for version 0.3.0, so there aren't any major changes.
Here's the full changelog:
Adjust layout for signature list item in settings when signature is empty
Use the right XPath queries, fix a couple of bugs related to thread and topic loading
Bump Qt and Ubuntu.Components versions
Use 14.10 framework instead of 14.10-dev3
Use Qt's atob() and btoa() methods for base64 en- and decoding
Remove trailing slashes from forum URLs
Another small bugfix release for Forum Browser is in the store while the work on proper BB code parsing continues.
The update fixes an issue with some https-only forums. Add "https://" to the URL to make already existing forum entries work.
Is it possible to thank for a post with this app? I just realized that rotation doesn't work with the app, because I sometimes turn my phone up side down.

Thank you very much for your valuable reply.
Both issues are on my TODO list. At the moment, I'm working on proper BB code parsing and a redesign of the thread view page. As I also miss the thanks button very badly, I'll implement it shortly after the big update with the aforementioned features. Adding a thanks button right now would only delay that release any longer.
Rotation is currently blocked because there are some issues with the reply page in landscape mode. However, as full shell rotation will land in the devel-proposed images quite soon, that's one of my high-priority tasks. That might even come before the other big update.
Thanks again for your reply. Please let me know if you run into any further issues.

Stock Android so no carrier bloatware (you'll have to install that yourself)
This is based on Google stock: so gapps already installed
More to come...
Now to installation of the ROM itself...
Always make a backup before installing anything on your phone!
Make sure you already have the proper bootloader/radio installed: I recommend T-Mobile customers use @scrosler's LMY47M radio/bootloader (flashable ZIP) and everyone else use his LMY47E bootloader/radio (fastboot batch file).
On first install of MeanPop, do a full wipe (although if you are coming from a stock 5.0.1 or 5.1.0 base, you can try a dirty flash).
Subsequent updates: no wiping necessary BUT...
If you have any trouble at all, do a full wipe and then reinstall
Install using recovery (I use latest TWRP)

As with any open source stuff, some of this work is my own and some comes from other sources. So in addition to my own work (mostly in the "mean" category), here's a quick thanks to those of you who contributed knowingly (thank you) and not-so-knowingly via open source 5 finger discount (thank you just the same: your stuff is good and that's why I used it). smile.gif Sometimes it's not entirely obvious where the source started so if I missed someone, please let me know and I'll add you. Also, I'm careful to only include other work where the author does not specify any usage restrictions or has given approval. If you believe, however, that I've included something that shouldn't be in this ROM, please just PM me. I ask you sorry in advance but I haven't real interest to don't put credit to your job

• I am NOT responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, III world’s war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. YOU are choosing to make these modifications! Be warning but I’ve tested this rom before publish.
• Support is limited. I do this as a hobby in my free time. All team member have family and childs but we'll do our best to help you if you state your problem in clear English, with as much information as you can (what mods you selected, have you wiped, when exactly does the error occur, what type of phone you have (ul, l , ws etc.), what carrier, logcat and so on. The more information you offer, easier for me to help you. If you do not ask for support in clear English and with no information or with a easy “don’t work” I will ignore your issue!
• NO Requests! When I work on Rayglobe rom I have in mind that I have to satisfy before my eeys and ears and all users to a decent level. What works for me might not work for you and vice versa . I'm not your personal ROM developer and it is not my job nor my intention to make everybody happy.
• Do not come here asking "Hey mate, X rom has that awesome feature and if you don't implement it in your rom, I'll !" You flashed this ROM because you liked it at some point. On this section of Xda there are best developers so his common thing find rom with good or incredible stuff. I respect other dev work so if our team can make this mode will be done otherwise no expect kang from us.
• Suggestions for improvements are always welcomed. As long as they are well documented and as long as you understand that NOT everything is possible.
• NO ETAs! While I do my best to constantly work on the ROM to improve, *fix and add new features, again this is a hobby! Our team will work on private beta and usually will publish rom on weekend! If this becomes an obligation passion fades and I might stop cooking the ROM
