[Q] CWM 6.0.3.1 on GT-N8013 - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I just recently (3 days ago) got a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1", Love it. I was just googleing info about it, found a site that referred to http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager saying that there is an "Official" release for this tablet for 6.0.3.1. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this would work with the GT-N8013 model of the tablet? I'm a bit afraid to straight up test it out, and straight up bricking it.

This is the tab 1 10.1 forum buddy... There are two forum's for you're device.. ( depending on it's release date )..You should be at the right forum reading the sticky's until you understand how to flash a recovery/rom/kernel/modem correctly..
Here is a link to a how to for the note 10.1 ( released before 2014 ).. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2102677 ...

sorry about that. I guess I had a brain fart and just saw the galaxy 10.1 part and thought this was it.

Does anyone know when ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0) will be released for the Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7510)? According to Samsung it was supposed to be last month but its already June and still no ics.

You don't have it yet? Use the "factory reset" while dunking your tablet in a bucket of icewater and the download will start.
Just kidding. Welcome to XDA. You're going to have a much better time here if you learn to use the "search" function before you post. The answer to your question is in many, many threads here. But since you're new, I'll give you a hint: nobody knows.

I agree with you,,Samsung never let us to know bout pics update''if you want feel the pics,,use in official rom
It was planned for May, but then Samsung decided to release Galaxy Tab 2 with the only major difference being ICS. So the planned update for the original tab was delayed until end of Q2 to help Tab 2 sales.

Please don't let another thread go this direction. If you want to tell this story, provide links to reputable sources in which Samsung (not some third party) has stated a release date for ICS for the GT10.1. If you don't have links, please stop making this stuff up.
At present there isn't even an official Samsung leak for ICS version of Tab 10.1, that's the reason why only nightly custom ROM's are available. Usually it takes still time after a leak arrived.

A single blog post? Come on now, if Samsung had promised something, don't you think you would be able to find at least one actual news outlet that carried the story?
Well... they did. And the blog post you linked to misquoted it. It took me 10 seconds to figure that out (hint: just google a line of the text). Nobody from Samsung has ever given a date for the release of ICS on the Galaxy Tab 10.1. Whether that's a good business practice is dubious, but claiming that they said something they didn't--and quoting a badly written blog post as proof--is lazy and increases the amount of misinformation floating around this forum...

Everything should be in the speculation thread.
HA
Just for fun I keyed into Samsung Live Chat and asked when 4.0 was coming out. I got some robot named Arnold who basically said:
"I'm sorry to inform you that there is no information available on an update for your device. Watch our website and STFU"
So it's gone from UK/Ireland and then the rest of the world to "we don't know sh*t". Sigh...back to beating the crap out of my ADW launcher

Tempted. Seriously tempted. Here's my thing...I'm a big time rookie and a victim of the "rolling recovery" disease that is flying all over the place in this forum. I've looked everywhere on all of the recommended threads and have investigated all kinds of tidbits but can't find a whole lot of consistency with regard to a potential answer to my question. I started a new thread in the Q&A here about it and would consider that for SURE if I could just get my recovery back to where I can read it so I can do a simple root.
You're probably laughing at my green ass and that's OK. I'm just hoping someone will have pity on me so I can finally start playing with this thing the way I want to.

Tab2 7 and 10 the same?

I have a rooted, flashed Nexus 7 but wanted a tablet of same size with extSD, so I just bought a Tab2 7 wifi. Can I apply the information for rooting and flashing for 10.1? Are Tab and Tab2 essentially the same in this regard? And, what's the U.S. model number I should look for when it comes to ROMs and kernels? If there's a thread covering all of this, I'd love to find it. Searching the forums didn't result in anything useful. Nexus 7 seems further along with original development than Tab (I also have two rooted, flashed S3s). Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Do NOT flash anything in this section as this is the first gen tablet. They are nowhere near the same (different processors and whatnot). If you flash anything from here, you raise the risk creating an expensive paperweight. You need to find the right section by searching Google using terms like xda GT-P51 (whatever the model number found in your about screen).

[Q] Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 inch rootable?

I just bought my Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7in yestarday (5/8/13) I used to have a Nexus 7 2013 model and that was easily rootable, I loved it but unfortunatley had to get rid of the tablet. Once I bought the tablet I wanted to root it as fast as possible, but after hours upon hours of searching the internet, I can't find anything on it. Is it possible to do? If so can someone please walk me through how to do it or link me to a tutorial. Thanks!
Really helps when you use the search function. Or even just looking on the first page here, as at this time, this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745565
is on the same page as your question.

still doesn't give me a direct answer. That page is telling someone to ask for a request. Not giving them a tutorial.

Look at the dates. If people are still requesting for a method, as well as a link to the thread where they would announce the root method, then after reading any of that it should be obvious there isn't a way yet. Not meaning to be a jerk, but it's like you aren't even trying.

[Q] No Support For the I9301I, Correct?

Hey everyone,
I unwittingly bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo (I9301I) today instead of the I9300, and have been having a lot of trouble finding anything to flash onto it. I think I've found my answer already, but to be sure: am I correct in thinking that there's no ROM support for the S3 Neo out currently? No Recovery app and no ROM to play with? If I'm correct, can anyone tell me if there are plans currently underway to change this? Or perhaps it's possible to use ROMs meant for the I9300?
Kind regards,
Matthias
I appears not only you made this mistake... I also bought i9301i instead of i9300 (long story short - I knew it was "Neo", the old version i9300 was hard to get).
At this moment I'm looking for custom roms, but it appears to be "too fresh" device with no support from e.g. CyanogenMod team. There is a problem in different components (as a newbie I'm not allowed to post links, so I have to obscure it) devicespecifications dot com slash en slash comparison slash e1d42876 (link found on XDA forums).
Also - I think that there are too few people using i9301i, so chances for creating new subforum on XDA are... Slim.
That is some bad news

Hey nekr0, thanks for the first reply, I'm hoping we'll get some good news about this soon, I'd love to start trying out some ROMs on this nice device. Even if it's just one or two ROMs I'd be a pretty happy camper overall.
Cheers.
Dont worry too much.
Its only a matter of time to get some support from XDA. It wont be as populat as S3 flag, but something will be done for sure.
I have bought 9301 as well, and using it for a week now, unrooted. Phone seems to be a good value for money for me. Time will tell though.
I have noticed that many people are confused about S3, S3 Neo, S3 Neo+.
Either way, it seems we will get 4.4.4 on 9301, so keep calm and dont push it too hard. Kernel modifications are risky.

It's a nice device, I'm happy with the hardware, I hope you're right, I guess I'll just be patient and hope there'll be a developer who is willing and able to make the port.
Cheers.

I read this but is in italian http://www.optimaitalia.com/blog/20...ento-4-4-4-per-i-samsung-galaxy-s3-neo/165516
Yes, it is information about Samsung Galaxy S III Neo... But Samsung is misleading us with naming. There are 2 "Neos", sometimes it is Neo, sometime Neo+, sometime Neo Duos/Duo. In this article you linked, information is about i9300i - yes, two regions already have 4.4.4 update: SKZ (Kazakhstan) and TGY (Hong Kong), but this topic is about i9301i. This is not the same device.

I really hate Samsung' naming conventions, they're terribly confusing. But yes, this thread is about the i9301i specifically.
Good news for GT-I9301i owner: Rox bought that device and will develop/build universal root, cwm and cm for us!

You obviously didn't even try searching for it before you came here, or, if you did search, you didn't put much real effort into finding it. You took the lazy approach and came here to ask instead.

The tab S3 is an old device, most devices don't get new ROMs at such an age as this device. In fact, very few devices have ongoing development past 2-4 years after the device's release to the market because the developers that owned those devices and were creating development for those devices have moved on to their next device by then and have started developing for their new devices.
I wasn't being rude, my point was, there is quite a bit of development for the Tab S3 here and that it isn't hard to find and isn't hidden under a rock here. Therefore, a simple search of the forum using your device name/model number will easily find any and all threads/ROMs/development pertaining to Tab S3. If you did such a search and didn't find anything that satisfies you then what you are looking for doesn't exist here. If you found the "official" LOS 17.1 ROM thread for tab S3 then you found the most current version, any new updates would be in that thread, there wouldn't be another thread for a different version unless someone has built an "unofficial" version and it probably wouldn't be as well developed as the official version.
If you have, in fact, been looking but haven't found anything better, didn't you even consider that it might be because it doesn't exist? Or did you assume that it "has to be here" but just isn't showing up?
The latter was probably your assumption and you posted your question in the hope that someone else would do the deep digging to find it, if it exists, so you would not have to continue the search yourself. That is, by definition, laziness, hence, the lazy approach.
