Has anyone else seen this? I'm using the latest CM10.2 ROM (4.3) and previous to this i was using the 4.3 AOSP+ ROM and on BOTH when listening to music on my phone (stored locally not streaming) using Apollo, Play Music, or Rocket Player when a new notification comes in (email, SMS, Facebook notification, ANYTHING) the track skips to the next one on the playlist.. Previous to these roms i was using InsertCoins Sense 5 ROM and rooted stock before that and have never come across this issue before, I Googled the problem and searched the forums here but I can't find mention of this specific issue, FWIW i have never done a dirty flash either it's always been clean and i have no other problems, I would be grateful if someone could confirm i'm not going mad and perhaps even offer up a fix?

we are aware of this, use my personal CM10.2 build if you want the fix, but instead of making new threads, read the CM10.2 thread.
we are waiting for the patches to be merged into CM10.2 properly

First off, I apologize for posting this here. I don't have 10 posts yet, so I can't post a reply to the proper thread in the Development forum.
I recently flashed Entropy's DD_03072012 kernel, and I noticed that when I'm listening to Google Music, I can't double-click the headset's microphone button to skip tracks anymore (a single click still works to pause the music, however). I searched the thread to see if this is a known issue, but at 240+ pages, I could have missed something.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any way to fix this other than flashing back to stock?
What rom are you running, cause its specific to that.
I'm still on the stock ROM (latest OTA update). I've been rooted for several months now, and skipping tracks using this method has worked fine until I flashed the updated kernel a couple of weeks ago.

Stock gb kernel? Isn't entropy's kernel for ics? Someone correct me if I'm wrong

To see the one I'm running, head over to the SGS2 Dev forum and look at Entropy's thread titled:
[KERNEL][UV][CWM] Entropy's Daily Driver-GB, 03/07/2012 (Small Fixes))
I flashed the last attachment in his original post: DD_03072012.zip
Again, sorry for not giving you a link, but I'm not at 10 posts yet so the board won't let me.

Give Siyah gingerbread kernel a try, once you get enough posts, try talking to entropy about it
That's going to be the next one I try. I just really like the battery-saving features of Entropy's. Couldn't hurt to give it a shot though.

Even better, get off gingerbread and upgrade to task 650's AOKP ICS. It's a lot better than gingerbread. Good luck regardless
EDIT: Another reason to upgrade, I'm not really sure anyone is supporting GB kernels anymore. Both Gokhanmoral and Entropy512 are dedicating a lot of time on ICS kernels

Awesome! Thanks for the info!
I got gb 2.3.6 unnamed rom uckh7 03/07/2012 kernel, and read there is bugs with wifi on ics/aokp and Gamecih doesn't work and gaming controllers + lots of other stuff.....
I need all that working. Anyway I noticed my wifi bars stay gray and don't go blue (like not fully connected) is this from the kernel? And all my Google products don't say I can (or am logged in) since I got it, but but I didn't think it was the kernel.
Can't use Google voice, gmail, or anything google related

Once a release has become outdated, its no longer supported. Upgrade to the newest build, or Google the problems for yourself.

devs are slowly moving away from GB so my best suggestion would be to move on to ics based rom its got full support at the moment so any bugs at least gets attention and as a user of CM9 Id say that it is pretty stable, dare I even say Nearing RC status

Wifi bars are from your rom. Whoever developed the theme may have not included separate. .PNG for fully connected. Aokp isn't buggy at all, most stable rom I've used

My Gmail was hacked for about 2-3 days. When I got it back my wifi bars lit up properly. Sup with that? Streaming video also improved with the wifi properly working.

You'd have to search on it but I remember from some thread that the bar color reflects your connection to Google - if your phone isn't connected to a Google account, it grays out. There's even a switch (somewhere, in some ROM I had) for "status bar reflects Google status".

I had the same problem when playing, and changing songs on any music app, I'm on DD030712012 and I have a app auto call recorder, but I couldn't use bluetooth at all, it made echoing sound and couldn't hear anything . I did 2 factory resets trying to find the problem, then started reinstalling apps through TB, and I had to freeze the auto call recorder, and now bluetooth works with no problems. Also I think there's a problem with 3rd party music players, I will be listening to the Samsung stock music player and when I push forward to the next song a 3rd party music player starts to play at the same time, I also fixed this by freezing the app.

So I just recently started having this annoying bug in Google Music on my phone where after each song, the media volume resets to max for the next song. Anyone know why this may be happening or have any similar experience with a bug similar to this?
I'm having the same issue. I think it might be related to my updating from AOKP ICS to CM10/JellyBean without wiping. But everything else is working just beautifully and all my stuff is still there, so I don't want to wipe and am hoping for a different fix for this issue. But so far deleting data, un-/re-installing the app aso. didn't help. Any hints appreciated.
Same issue here. I have recently installed RR JB 3.0.6 running Siyah kernel. Not enough posts to post in that section yet, so I'll start off here
I've done as much searching on these issues and I cannot find anywhere that references my particular symptoms. I've tried both AOKP 4.2.1 latest release and supernexus 2.0, and the fact that the exact same issues happen on both roms I would assume it's either a 4.2.1 problem or just some particular issues with my device...
1.) just about every video playing app has some sort of problem. Biggest example being the Twitch tv app only playing audio, screen is black except for menu options. Trying to go back crashes the app. flash video embedded on Web pages (installed flash so regular browser supports flash) works until you try to watch full screened, which makes the browser lock up until you force the process closed. youtube, like the twitch tv app, will only show a black screen where the video should be, however everything else shows up fine (examples being menus and, most interestingly, the preview pics that appear as you scroll through the video show up, but when it buffers it's back to black screen) For the record, I had to install the fix here to get netflix to get even that far, as before it would just stick at the loading screen when trying to play a video.
2.) SwiftKey loses its languages after each reboot where typing does not bring up any predictions (boxes where they would be are blank), and the only way to get it working is to go into languages in SwiftKey settings and updating them. I saw some other places describing the same issues with jellybean but i couldn't find if there was a solution.
3.) connecting to my car via Bluetooth and listening to music (power amp currently installed), if i get a call while music is playing the device will lock up for several seconds and the only way to get everything back to normal is to turn off bluetooth once the phone actually starts responding, call the person back on the device, and then reconnect via bluetooth and continue the music only at that point.
Any help or guidance or info on any of these issues would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
if any of the issues I mentioned are discussed elsewhere that I just haven't found, would anyone be able to link me to the thread/article where it's discussed? or if there just isn't any way around it, let me know so I can just put an ics rom back on

Why not drop back to 4.1.2 rather than ICS?
Bluetooth is a know issue with 4.2. Never seen the swiftkey issue before, but quite a few apps are not compatible with 4.2 yet.
SwiftKey is a reported bug with the gs2

the video issue is the biggest issue in terms of affecting my day to day use, as i like to watch streams from twitch.tv as well as having netflix that works (has anyone seen or heard about the netflix issue i described? thought that was particularly weird...). I guess I could try a 4.1.2 rom before going all the way back to ics, but if it means more apps/features are stable and compatible compared to either version of jb, then that's the way i'd probably go. thanks for the replies

if you're referring to the fix i linked in the op referencing the stuck at loading issue where the fix is to install xposed, that was the only way i even got past the loading screen initially which brought me to the issue I described. if there is another fix he provided for the issue, i'd be interested in seeing the link if you could provide.
I switched to shostock3 using 4.1.2 and everything is working perfectly fine, so I guess all the issues, officially confirmed as problems or not, are 4.2.1 related. I'd still be curious to see if any further fixes exist as I definitely liked the supernexus rom and would love to use it if I can get everything working.

It's in the cm10 thread
Sent from my GS4 running CM11 Kandy Kane
I'm having similar issues:
- SwiftKey works fine
- Google+ Hangout during a call video rendering is all glitchy, often freezes and crashes.
- Skype calls work fine
- Chrome freezes and crashes often
- Gmail Reply All either adds me to CC (if not updated to the latest version) or removes one address from the list (if updated). Saw other threads on this issue but couldn't fix it.
- Automatic timezone switches to GMT
Feels like most of the google apps aren't working for me, but rather than that the rom is cool would definitely want to fix the issues.
I've been having this issue with multiple 4.2.2 ROMS. Whenever I play music through my headphones, after a while I get a message saying "System UI has stopped unexpectedly." It keeps popping up, and I have to reboot through the power menu. FWIW, this happens with ANY music app...Spotify, DoggCatcher, or Google Play Music.
This started happening on Elegancia 6.2, so I tried completely wiping the phone and doing the firware/radio OTA upgrade using Lloir's method outlined in the OTA upgrade post. Everything upgraded, and I figured I would try a different ROM, so I installed the Blackout S5 Extreme ROM, and sure enough, I'm continuing to have the System UI issue.
Anyone have any ideas? I couldn't find anything similar on XDA or with a Google search. No one else with this issue seemed to have it with music through the headphones like I am.
I'm not sure, but this sounds like a serious problem. Maybe you are doing something wrong when installing ROMs?

I mean, nothing different than when I installed Sense 4+ Roms.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk
This has been an ongoing problem I'd say since KitKat ROMs released for me anyway. I've seen other people post about it but it's kind of sporadic as far as who it's happening to because the majority of people don't seem to have this issue. When using an AOSP based ROM no matter what I've used (currently ParanoidAnroid, in the past LiquidSmooth, CM, and a few others) my SMS capabilities are very hindered. I can send one, maybe two texts and then it will just not send anymore until I reboot the phone. Incoming text still come in just fine. It's just when I text to someone it will sit there sending for about 30 seconds follow by "Unable to send". I tried some of the workarounds people suggested in specific ROM threads that they thought might fix it to no avail (using 3rd party SMS app, disabling Google Movies). What ends up happening is that I'll have to flash back to a Sense ROM which isn't the end of the world but I really like using the AOSP based ROMs as I can do so much more with those in the means of customization and they just seem more snappy and "familiar" to me, coming from a Galaxy Nexus that I was always tweaking and trying out new ROMs.
Has there been any fixes that people have found for this issue? As I said right now I'm running ParanoidAndroid, the latest build with PA GAPPs and I'm afraid I'm going to have to go back to a Sense app once again. I waited a couple months before flashing any more AOSP based ROMs thinking with all the updates that get done to some of these ROMs maybe whatever was causing this to happen would be magically fixed in newer versions of the ROMS. Any help/tips you could shoot my way I'd be very appreciative!
