[Q] Pure™-Mods - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, can somebody please tell if the Pure™-Mods from the S5830-thread work for our device too?
Sent from my GT-S5830i using xda app-developers app

They will, but in my opinion I won't recommend it. Battery will drain faster. Try Fly-On or Adrenaline Engine.

Okay, good to know, thanks

Well I have tried it and battery has gone worse. And many ppl tried that script and got worse battery life too and don't recommend that script.

Im using the PurePerformance-Siri Edition and the PureGraphics HD mod since yesterday in the morning and i didn't charged my phone. I still have 18% battery, that means the battery life got better for me. And the perfomance is really better, playing games makes now more fun than before I am using the CyanMobileX rom with thunderkernel, maybe it's because of this

Im thinkg of it bcuz of the battery
When I used to be on stock ICS
My battery lasted for at least 10hours
Now on super nexus I get 4-5 hours Maximum
when I flashed the ROM I had 80 charged
After flashing the ROM I did an battery calibrating too

Try different kernels. ROM has small impact on battery life.
I'm kinda newbie
Can suggest me a good kernel?

Asking which ROM/KERNEL/MODEM is best is against the XDA rules ma8
since the varibles are too high, do please try it on ur own and see the results
Siyah/fluxi/dorimanx/dreamkernel.
I am having great performance using the Dorimanx kernel but take a look in the development thread and try them out. Make sure you leave them as standard settings and try for a few days to settle. Have fun and experiment.

Battery drain

After updating my s2 to 4.1.2. Something sucks my battery incredibly... i have power saving options ON and juice defender... i don't even used it....

Re: Baterry drain
Okay. First: you got no question but posted just a statement.. Second: how should we know what's the cause of this? There are plenty of threads about battery drain in JB, so I suggest you read them first. Good luck.

Get rid of Juice Defender for a start. That app was created purely to Hoover money from n00bs in the case of the paid versions & to lull n00bs into falsely believing the app actually makes a difference to battery life (all versions including the free one).
Re: Baterry drain
Sorry, my fault. Any suggestion?*

Which ROM is the best for battery??

I have tried just about every rom there is at the minute but I cant seem to find one that doesn't sap my battery.
I don't even game or watch videos on it I literally just check the internet every now and then yet still I suffer 10% drops for Just using it for 5 or 10 mins at a time.
Could anyone advise me of a ROM without the whistles and bells but is all about battery power?
Thanks for any help,
Andy.

Settings then apps the go to all the scroll down till you see Google play services and click on it then disable it... Well basically you won't get any push notifications like twitter or snapchat but most apps won't need this but some do so it's not for all people but it saves a lot of ? ? ? ? ? ?

Why would it be closed. I asked which roms people have had better battery life with. Sorry I thought this was q&a section. Jesus, if you don't like the question don't open the thread and reply.

I tried CM11 Nightlies and NeatRom (based on SlimKat). Both are great at battery. Decided to stick with NeatRom because it seems more stable. I'm not using any custom kernel.
The thread states do not ask which rom or kernel is the best. This was a question about which rom has given people decent battery life, not which has the best features or tweaks etc which is obviously all subjective. So to recap, I am actually asking the opposite, not which rom is best, but which has lasting power. Features or no features.
