For some % people who wanna get keyboard from 2.3 you in the right place.
(I test it on my LG-P999, working excellent, and should run on any Froyo.)
Just install apk.
Go to settings> language&keyboard> mark gingerbread keyboard.
this apk is: Light weight. Without any additives. Does not take ram just same as the original keyboard. Faster than ORIGINAL !
enjoy

Vibrate didn't work for me, but then I went to:
Settings->Language & Keyboard->Gingerbread Keyboard settings
Make sure Vibrate on keypress is checked. Then go to Advanced Settings at the top and change Vibration intensity to anything OTHER THAN System default. If you choose light, soft, normal, strong or heavy, they all vibrate on keypresses.
Enjoy!
To small on atrix screen. I wanted it as an option compared to the motorola keyboard to see which one I preffered but this is no contest against the moto. With gingerblur its one or the other so I guess moto keyboard wins

Does it exist?
I've been using Swiftkey for ages and have been happy with it until now, so I've been using the original Samsung keyboard for a while, and I must say I like it a lot! Great predictions and accuracy, but way to few options. So I'm looking for a modified version, if it exists, since I lack the skill to modify it myself.
I searched around for it, but no luck. Perhaps there's no sourcecode to be found, I dunno..
Any help would be appriciated =)
you can get help in the help section, not this one

Would like to be able to change the layout somewhat. Miss having characters like "," "!" and "?" available through the main layout, like holding down "." and getting a popup with these characters (and more) instead of a bunch of smilies..
And more settings regarding behavior, predictions and such, like you've got in Swiftkey and such.
Maybe I'm asking for the moon, hehe..
How about trying Swype beta?
go to themes and apps section and search for note 2 keyboard.
Just figured out that the settings button also serves as "," "!" "?" and "'" , which is a great improvement, but I'll check out the Note 2 keyboard anyway! Thanks =)
Some of you may or may not know, but Google released their own keyboard app for Android users to download:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.inputmethod.latin
Think it'll be something we'll start seeing in AOSP ROMs instead of the other keyboard that's comes with AOSP ROMs? Since this is an official release from Google and stuff.

Looks and feel like the AOSP keyboard except for the fact that this is officially supported by Google, which means updates by them and possibly new features down the line.
I prefer AOSP for things like the keyboard. Using it right now and I really like it so far, my accuracy seems very good and everything just flows. Plus I look forwards to the updates and support!
I really like that they added the long press duration option so desperately needed on keyboards like swype, but I wish they would give us the option of having symbols over the keys which would make the long press option more effective. Still, is pretty good!
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Could you elaborate a little? Because I think what you're referring to is available, just long press the period and you'll have a list of symbols. And for letter symbols like á just long press the letter a.
I love aosp ROM's but Samsung is the only one that has swipe on their one handed keyboard.

I think I understand what you're saying... kind of like the swiftkey style keyboard? I reall like that option. Another option I would like to see would be resizable keys as you see in swiftkey.

I mean having the symbols displayed on the letter keys such that when you long press a letter, it's secondary function is to input the symbol displayed as the keys superscript. For example on Swype and SwiftKey you have 'a' and its superscript is the '@' symbol. When you press a, it inputs a and when you long press a, it inputs @.

It can get confusing and it'll get confusing once I dive into why it's confusing. Plus this wouldn't go in general anyways It would go into Version Samsung Galaxy Note II Themes and Apps section or just delete it. Or we can ask a moderator for assistance with the issue.

If you like the look and feel of a stock android keyboard, then yes.
Is there a way to have the keyboard not showing that ugly blank writing box when on landscape mode?
This keyboard is superb, if it wasn't for that minor gripe.

Hey.
I want to ask if there's app / module or something on settings that could make my "stock" keyboard like the keyboard on PC
I mean that I want the same keyboard that I have on my phone but only when I click "Hard & Long press" on the letter she will do this for example
"aaaaaaaaa" I really love this on my pc and I want it on my keyboard on my phone
I have Note 3 / 4.4.2 / with root
and I'm use the Stock (white) keyboard by Samsung
Suggestions?
( and I don't really want to download third-party application's keyboard )
( If you dev and you love this idea.. plz tell me to be the first one to download it....)

Unnecessary.... There's no need to be a prick.
But the closest thing to a PC keyboard on Android is the Hacker's Keyboard. You can get it off Google Play. I don't know if it can do the long press thing, though.
If you're still using the stock keyboard, try downloading Swiftkey. Best keyboard out there.
:EDIT: Sorry, I didn't see that you don't want to download a new keyboard. In that case, this would have to be an Xposed module specifically for your phone model. Go to the Xposed module request thread and describe what you want. (I'd still recommend downloading Swiftkey or Hacker's, though. Would you mind telling me why you'd prefer to stay stock?)
