*2 COPY it to your SDCARD
*3 Use root explorer to paste this file in System/media folder (remember to mount as r/w)

Thanks for the effort, I don't personally like this boot animation but I thank you for the time and effort you put into it, I make boot animations as well, I look forward to seeing more from you, maybe we could make one together some time

I resized Xperia Z bootanimation for MDPI device (320x480) with the best quality!:laugh:
INSTALL MANUALLY
-> Download and copy the Zip File to your SDCARD.
-> Copy it and paste it inside root->system->media. (copy and replace)
-> Now change permisions rw-- r- r-, Reboot system.
-> That's it.. You must be seeing this Bootanimation after the Kernel logo.

Well, for solve this problem do:
Open up your good explorer
Go to /system/media
Find the bootanimation.zip and then change permissions to:
Code:
-rw-r--r-- (644)
Explanation for noobs:
Owner: root
Group: sdcard_rw
<!-- The permission itself -->
For owner: Read, Write
For group: Read
For others: Read
(644)

How TO USE it :
put the jarvis.mp4 file some where in your
phone (you can use USB cable or FTP
remote manager or etc)
in your phone go to your file manager with
root access (I use Root Explorer)
move jarvis.mp4 file to /system/media

Have you changed the permissions after ? rw- r-- r-- (OCTAL 644)
EDIT:
I confirm: it does not work. The stock bootanimation.zip file in /system/media consists of 4 parts described in a .txt file. I believe it's not so easy to replace a bootanimation, maybe there are other steps you can take.
Yep. They are all jpg's and not mp4
