[Q] Lost Imei/efs folder No backup - Galaxy Ace S5830i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Galaxy Ace i.
I think i may hav deleted the efs folder by mistake but im note sure (im a noob )
so i lost my imei ... emergency calls ,
i tried going to stock , flashing original firmware but no change in imei ,checked out the efs folder using root explorer but it was empty :S
and i hav no backup of anything :/ dint know about the efs/imei...
I can get a backup of the efs from a friends phone (same as mine of course) or any download links would be useful too , just need a way to edit the imei to my own .
anything , any method that is free would be really useful
Thanks and sorry if a similar thread exists but i found nothing too useful to help me as i hav no backup :/
Thanks for reading this

problem solved
using hex editor(PC) and galaxy toolbox(app) .
backup bml... from galaxytool box or download it, if its corrupted ,
find imei using hex editor and change it to yours .
pm for screen shot i'll upload if ppl need it :good:
Thanks to S H A D Y for the solution :good:

Another way is that you can install CSC and modem of your country and place them on the Phone and multi CSC slot on ODIN while restoring stock ROM.

You can't just restore without a backup.
Do what Sniper Killer says.

Okay kids, knock it off.

Bro, you posted this question in the wrong device thread. This is Galaxy Ace S5830i Q/A section and not Xolo Q1000 section. Doing any mod intended for Ace on your device can basically brick your phone. Try to follow the steps user @pranjal18 suggested in the following Xolo Q1000 Query section. I hope it works. Here is the link,
Xolo Q1000 General Queries & Help Support (Root, CWM Recovery, Custom ROM,etc.)
You can post your question here

Hope I Helped

Dear Noob..you cannot change the IMEI number yourself..you need to have a backup of your EFS folder for that..if you backed it up use the Ktools app to restore the nav_data.bin file...
Otherwise Service Center..
I hope it helped..
P.S. Post questions in the Q&A section..it is there for a reason..
I also flashed omega v14 and ended up the same as you

Looks like you are in deep trouble.
Considering you are asking this question in general section, I'll take the liberty of assuming that you did not backup your efs folder.
May be someone else can pitch in here to help you. Meanwhile you can confirm if you have the backup of efs folder or not?

Think Omega automatically backs up efs?
Flash stock GB rom gets imei back...

Statements like that make me really apprehensive about referring people to XDA for help. Next time you have a bright idea and want to share it, just don't.

Here is a guide to repair your IMEI from the SGS2 Forum! It should be the same! I solved my IMEI problem with this Guide on my SGS1.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1264021
[GUIDE] Recover your IMEI in 9 steps.
It is very important that you back up your efs before flashing any ROM, and before you folow this guide BACKUP the faulty efs folder because it contains the old backup of the file nv_data.bin. It beginns with a dot like .nv_data or similar (because I haven't a SGS3, but the structure of the efs folder should be similar).
Please be carefully and think twice what you are doing!!!

No EFS backup = service centre (or local mobile repair shop).
You should have made your efs backup. Don't try to use foreign efs.

The easiest way to get your imei back is to flash stock Rom and back it up. So you can recover it on jellyblast. Thats how i did it.
Also go on rafael.baugis's kernel thread, then to his sky drive and download boot.img and modules for E3 recovery #2013...
Sent from my GT-S5830i
Is it just me or does it seem like everyone that flashes JellyBlast faces problems after? It must be the 4.1.1 firmware... :what:

Its 2.3.6 and the Rom doesn't include rafael's modules. That why everyone gets headphone bugs.

But you will lose the root.
