I know how not having an ext. sdcard slot hurts, so here's something to help... sign into QuickOffice before Sept. 26 and you will receive an extra 10GB on your Google drive.

I installed it on my Nexus 7 (2013) but it seems to be only useful if you wish to live in the cloud.
I opened a word file in Quickoffice, edited fine, - but then could not save it back locally. I get an error "unable to save" for both save and save as.
Searching the web revealed a number of people who have the same problem and I didn't find a solution.....

This is regarding the new 64 gig SDXC cards on the Rezound.
Has anyone tried these on the Rez?
I'm reading a lot about these and I'm wondering 2 things:
Is 32 gigs really the limit on the Rezound, or can the 64 be used?
And, have there been any reformatting issues with ANY size SDXC micro cards on the Rezound.
Please, respond if you have actually done it on the Rez. (There's a lot of conflicting info on the interwebz from people whose one-legged cousin in Philly knows a guy whose blind lesbian sister did it & it was fine. )
Yes, someone has formatted one in the Rezound successfully:

Thank you. Crap! Why didn't that thread come up in my search results?
For those who've done it, are they still working well? Are they worth the money compared to the sdhc's?
I'm reading in the reviews on Amazon how an off brand SDXC card was fine for a few days and then choked... from SEVERAL purchasers.
I'm not saying that guys lying or anything, but I'd certainly like more than one confirmation before I spend almost 100 bucks on something.
I have and use one. I can't post pictures yet, although I tried. Not enough posts.
After formatting I get a little under 60gb of workable space. Fits roughly 12 720p movies.

Its actually been proven that the new sd card works on really old Android phones as long as you format it from its stock format. Last I heard they got it to work on the fascinate, and the HTC eris, my old baby.

I think it would be bad ass if a manufacturer like HTC or Samsung. Broke the mold and started putting dual Micro SD card slots. Then you could have internal storage a fast class 10 and a nice fat 64gb class 6 for whatever els. I then iphone users would be upset cause the can't get that much storage. And 720p and NFC.

Fair enough, but to me the % difference between $65 and $80 is small enough for me to spend the extra $15 on a warrantied product. We're talking about a high precision piece of electronics here, even the items from the retail stores have a fairly high problem/return rate, and it's nice to know it can be returned. $15 isn't a high price for insurance. If we're talking about $5 vs. $20 for a TPU case well then hell yes I'll take the 75% off ($15) and go cheap. But on a SD card I'll spend the 18.75% ($15) and get my insurance policy.
I pulled the trigger on this last night. Will probably take weeks to get here, but stuff from dealextreme.com (for example) have all arrived without issues with customs.
Not sure why the Sandisk site advertises up to 30mb reads, but 20mb reads would be welcome, like class 10. I know writes will hang around 6, but unlike my G1, the card isn't using sdext anymore, so it honestly should be mostly undetectable. (mostly)
I've just obsoleted my 16gb class 10 (nearly) now, but with CWM backups being a full gb each, the space will be welcome...and for more videos of course.

Oh well, thankfully the Sammy formats fine from within the OS after the phone boots.
Officially, 59.46gb, which is 63.837gb as seen in Windows. So where is the 1.163gb even when looking at it like this, hunh Windows?? Well, 59.46gb available beats the hell out of 14.8, when these backups take 1.2gb each!

I'm definitely going to need the 64gb. I have around 40 gbs of music that I want kept locally on the device. I've used Google Music and think it's great, but I don't have the data to use it like I would like to. The 64gb is a must and I'm a bit weary about purchasing it online due to the defects some are reporting. Does anyone know if these defects are as abundant in the AT&T version of the phone as they are in the international? I looked at one at the AT&T store and it seemed to be perfect.

I don't think there are any abundant defects in any version. I have a 64GB from ATT and it's perfect, except for the soft buttons not lighting up most of the time but I think they all do that to some degree.
Don't forget the OTG as well. It works great right out of the box. I just moved about 20GB of movie files off the phone onto a flashdrive and it was so quick I was shocked. I wish I'd paid attention to how long it was, seemed like just a few minutes.

that.
and for keeping my TB/TWRP backups safe. and extra ROMs if I need a change...
and I also have a fairly large music set, so an SD card helps keep my app space free. and for bringing large movie files with me, on a plane, to a friend's house, to work, etc.
frankly, as soon as I read "no SD card slot" in the otherwise GLOWING review, that's when I stopped caring.

I'm "sure" there's a good reason for that, but to me it makes no fuggin sense.
a) phones seem to be limited to 32 or (Woah, lookout) 64. ridiculous. RAM is cheap. no reason for this.
b) seeing as manufacturers don't want to go bigger for some reason, and SD cards are cheap, and files get bigger every year... why the ffff... heck would they want to limit our storage to those now-considered-small numbers?
I'm so itching to get away from Sammy, but... everything else seems so "meh".

The only thing Google says is it's safer. To me, they want you to buy more Google drive space. But I hate the cloud payment model. It should be a one time payment. I don't pay 50 bucks every month for a 64gb card, so why should I pay that for cloud. Anyways, we hijacked the thread. My bad op!

Well dont be jealous yet. I tried to cancel my order. Sprint already has the nexus packed in a box waiting for ups. I placed the order about midnight and called at 8am lol. They said I will be able to bring the unopened box to a corporate sprint store for a full refund.
Why may u ask am i returning it?

I haven't even looked at the Google service yet. I'm under an employee line so my bill is pretty cheap anyway. Plus I can get an upgrade pretty much whenever I want.

Thats sweet! Im on a nice plan with sprint but I am no longer under contract. I would like to have the ability to use tmobile and sprint. I have been using wifi calling with my note 3 and its been good so far.

Nice. Sprint is getting pretty aggressive with their billing. Can't blame em, they need the money.

I have 2 lines both smart phones. 1400 min unlimited data and messaging. Out the door for 150/mnth. I was with verizon but the screwed me over with a warranty phone. They send me a phone with a cracked screen then said i broke it cause there was no way they send out a broken phone. So they charged me 300. I ported to sprint the next month after getting nowhere with verizon. Sprint also has been getting better coverage over the past year around me. [emoji1]
