I found a new opensource camera app which has functions from Focal camera app from CM 10.2.
Features:
- A photo and video mode, supporting many features (burst mode, timer mode, scene mode, shutter speed, HDR)
- A panorama mode, currently semi-broken
- A PicSphere mode, open-source replacement of Google's PhotoSphere, to do 360° sphere shots
- A review drawer, by sliding from the top of the screen (in portrait). It shows your latest pictures.
Tested on:
- Xperia P Jelly Bean - everything may works, except panorama which is stated as bug Somebody could test video recording? I am on Enigma beta which has video recording broken

Sony Mobilehas released a new app called ‘Xperia Motion Snap’ that allows you to make your own live wallpaper through a video of yours. What you need to do is install the app, shoot a short video using it and then Sony’s graphics engine automatically creates a repeated video that can be used as a live wallpaper on your Xperia handset. The image quality and play speed of the video can also be adjusted if needed

Update once, For All framework 720p frontcamera
This is great. First of all, it is an installable apk, so that's convenient. It has extra settings accessible without having to go through the menus (see screenshot). And this is the only Sense camera I've found where I can leave touch to capture enabled without messing up manual refocusing during video capture. Other sense cams freeze if you try to manually refocus during video recording, and touch to capture is left enabled.

Still doesnt seem to have reliable autofocus. Most of these cameras have this problem and I suspect there are conflicting options at play.

I'm hoping that someone may have a solution to this problem...
I recently purchased an Android Smart TV Box from China (Ebay). It's model is GV-11C running Android 4.0.4.
This TV Box has a built-in 2MP camera. See pic...

I bought this purely for using Skype on the TV (and watching the occasional DLNA movie).
The function of the TV Box itself is great, apps work fine and it does everything I want it to.
However... When using the camera for Skype calls, the video is way too dark.
I've checked the video recording within the Camera application and can confirm it appears to be the camera in general rather than Skype.
When I switch the camera to picture mode (rather than video) I can increase the exposure to +2 and this looks acceptable. However, this setting does not save for video mode.
Is there ANYTHING I can do to increase the brightness/exposure of the video camera by default?
Willing to try just about anything as the only reason I bought this Box was for the camera.
Here is a screenshot of the 'About' page.
Thank you in advance
I'm using XMP on JellyVanilla Z 7.1 with latest Lupus kernel. I've been looking for some 3rd party camera apps, because I didn't like the one that came with the ROM and I noticed that some apps show this in a viewfinder:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
so far I've tried Snap Camera, Camera JB+ and PerfectShot and only the last one doesn't have a corrupt preview. the first two apps take regular photos though.
anyone stumbled upon the same problem?
Hi sir, you may stop trying to find 3rd party apps.
Our Xperia 2011 line does not have the camera libs for JB. Therefore, other camera apps would not work. For a better user interface of the camera, use this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255797
LED light a bit buggy though. And rotation of UI does not work but the picture rotation is fine. Panorama always FC.
thanks for the reply! I personally don't care about UI, all I wanted was more options than stock CM camera. I'm using CameraZoom FX and it's working fine, but I'll check your link out
