NFL Mobile + Premium Subscription + Tablets - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I still use Privacy Blocker to disguise my carrier and phone info on the NFL Mobile app. I still works surprisingly well. However, due to Verizon's contract with the NFL, the app can NOT use your NFL Mobile premium subscription on "tablets" (this also includes a number of phablets), the subscription only works on smartphones. The NFL Mobile app will force you to use your cable tv subscription (which I do NOT have) in order to view live streaming content.
My question is, Can anyone modify the NFL mobile app to where the app thinks its on a smartphone? Thus, the app resorts to using the NFL Mobile Premium subscription rather than force you to login and use your Cable TV subscription.

[Q] Best way to do online banking?

What is the best (safest) way to do it security wise?
Through the browser? Through the banking app they have? or remote desktop?
I use browser n apps like pageonce or the corresponding app to bank. browser is secure. just make sure you see the padlock icon on browser URL.

Neither of these are the safest way to do online banking.
My bank requires additional secutity measures other than just providing login id and password, i.e. a second one time password that will be sent to your mobile phone for you to input each time you do a banking transaction.
agree with what the rest said:
use the app specifically released by the bank (the best I think)
most banks here in the UK are using two-factor authentication - so I am using the stock browser at the moment - but... this still leaves a door open for the man-in-the-middle attack, so just an extra precaution, i set my DNS to OpenDns.
additionally, I normally clear all before and after banking session all the cookies/form data/cache - i am not sure why i am doing this, but it does make me feel better
If the bank is worth a damn both the app they provide and their sites should be secure. Just do not use on an open wifi network as your communication can be intercepted before it's encrypted with ssl through say the webpage. In fact I personally would not log into anything with an open wifi network.
Mint works pretty well.

works like charm fearless mobility
Old thread but this comes up in searches so here's some info.
You guy's can also make your own free VPN using Amazon ec2 instance free tier level. You need any credit card to sign up, and it's free for like 750hrs per month. If you don't have a card, then use bitcoins or Liberty Reserve/WMZ to buy a prepaid online visa. There's also plenty of CashU prepaid visa sites around http://www.prepaidvcard.com/cashu.php (note, i have no idea if site is legit or not.. do due diligence)
You can get Bitcoins for CashU using Okpay in Syria, or you can use localbitcoins.com and see if anybody local is selling/buying coins. https://localbitcoins.com/country/SY
If you want a secure wallet, set up 2 factor ID using blockchain.info and download android app
https://blockchain.info/wallet/android-app
http://aws.amazon.com/free/
https://github.com/sarfata/voodooprivacy - script to start PSec/L2TP VPN.
I run Tor bridges for free using amazon, that are using obfsproxy so users in blocked countries like China/Syria can access it.
There's also JonDoNym which is a mixmaster high security 'vpn' https://shop.anonymous-proxy-servers.net/bin/testcoupon?lang=en
It has a free trial if you want to try it out (and an Android app), at least good enough so you can access google play store and download whatever you need, like TextSecure or Redphone or just to encrypt communications. You can also edit Torrc file on phone to change number of Tor hops to just one instead of usual 3 if you wanted a free VPN with no anonymity
Lot's of vendors on the bitcoin wiki provide a free version of their VPN too https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Trade#Connectivity
http://www.securitykiss.com/
And of course there's Torrentfreak lists of VPN providers: http://torrentfreak.com/vpn-services-that-take-your-anonymity-seriously-2013-edition-130302/

T-Mobile Throttling Bypass Idea

T-Mobile has announced that they are not counting the data that is used by music streaming apps and speedtest apps. Would it be possible to mask one of our apps as speedtest by ookla or a music streaming app in order to take advantage of full 4G speeds? It's the same concept as using a user agent switcher that allows you to mimic a completely different browser.

it would depend on how they throttle assuming the music apps not throttled is using rtsp it should be port based throttling perhaps running a proxy on port 554.
if its URL/IP based meaning only certain music apps as opposed to all music apps then you can try the app called your-freedom it allows you to spoof the URL using the HTTP Connect I've uses this method to bypass ISP out of credit redirection not entirely sure how it worked but basically it fooled the ISP gateway into thinking you were on thew site whilst you were actually connected to freedom servers
So their throttling is most likely dependant on the IP you're connecting to. They most likely whitelist the IP of those services. The other option could be they whitelisted the apk and once the app is launched, they know not to count the data.
But why?? Tmobile data plan doesn't throttle! But they do with their tethering of 2.5GB but again a user agent can by pass that.

Pandora country unlocked APK

Hello everyone! Can you help a guy out with an APK for Pandora internet app that I can use outside of the US?
Before anyone asks, no, I don't want a cracked / pirated version with no ads and unlimited skips and so on. I just want an APK of the original Pandora app that simply allows me to use it outside of the US but is otherwise identical to what you get from the play store, preferably the latest version available.
I already pay for a subscription and use the app through the browser with the help of a proxy on my laptop. I just want to use Pandora with my paid subscription on my Android phone.

how about using a vpn? Just a thought. I know this doesn't answer your question or provide the apk...but it could be a work around?
