no one got info on this for the tab .......
I guess nobody got this yet dude!
Althught they (firmwares) have usually same number builds, doesn't mean they are released at the same time... Tablet software is a bit more complex than phone's counterpart, IMO

IMO, is same Android version but with proper drivers for the different Hardware. They might have added few things here and there in Sony to phone and tablets, but the base Android should be the same for Tablet or Phone.
It is being rolled out for SGP 321 via PC-companion.
Changes in 10.3.1.A.2.67 stock vs 10.3.1.A.0.244
Got the update via pcc.

When you say no jb update, did you mean no jb update at all or no jb only for the none xperia tabs
Sent from my SGPT13 using xda app-developers app
There is nothing new... and the webcast says that only Xperia S would have the update.. but now they deleted that part of the video.. We don't know why.. maybe Tablet S1 will have JB after all...
Btw... This is developmet section not Q&A/General.. :good: Let's keep the forum clean and organized! :highfive:
I'm sick of waiting and not a single word from Sony about the Xperia Tablet S and any future updates at all!!!!!

I don't believe there will be a JB update. A lot of these sorts of discussions get confused between Xperia S and the old S, there has been confusion with twitter/facebook errors on official feeds. I remember a furore when the official Italian site confirmed there would be a release and then withdrew it.
Here is the closest I can find to a definitive answer stating that there is no roadmap to update Tablet S to JB.... http://community.sony.com/t5/Sony-Tablet-Operating-System/Any-news-about-Jelly-Beans/td-p/38595

Decryption ROM tool is available. It is possible to modify future JB rom from Xperia tablet for S tablet?
Are you expecting Jelly Bean for S1?

I was a bit surprised to receive the survey link. Does make me a little hopeful that maybe Sony will continue development (upgrades) to the older S tablet. At the end of the survey when they give you the chance for additional comments; I pleaded with them to not let the OS go obsolete before the hardware. The hardware in this tablet is still very capable of handling newer OS versions.

I took the opportunity to do the same as well. I told them that I lobe my tablet but wish that the few bugs it has would get squashed and that the os would be upgraded to the newer smoother one.

Just asking for opinions. Will XTS have a 4.4 update? Or there are no hope for the tablet?

I don't think so. I think it even won't get the 4.2.

I agree. Unfortunately, I heard Sony Mobile Communications didn't make the tablet (Sony Electronics apparently did) and the Electronics division doesn't seem to want to update the tablet or even release AOSP builds for it unlike Mobile Communications.
they suck so badly! I regret for buying it >_<
Sony have washed their hands of these devices. XTS was lucky to get 4.1. STS was forgotten 1 year ago with 4.0.3 . XTZ will be supported for a long time as there will be developer support through unlocked bootloader etc
XTZ will get Kitkat, we wont though. Im still dreaming of 4.2.2, but i doubt we will ever get it. Thinking of trying to sell my XTS next week..
Only way ts and xts owners will ever get anything else is buy buying something new!!!

KitKat on these tablets when getting abandoned? Hahahahahaha! XD
The only way it is possible is to get a custom rom which may be in the future.

It's weird, I know some people on unbranded in UK got the update about a month ago. Mines actually with O2 but I'd flashed unbranded 290.

I know. Been looking for the update daily for about a week now. Nothing.
I dont really mind though.......I have an occasional wifi drop out on 290 but nothing else serious. Also with my ZU I have held back on root/unlocking bootloader just because............it kinda does everything well without root! I remember a video by Adrian that eventually android would get to such a stage that root wouldn't be needed anymore (apart from customization). Maybe we are seeing the first step of that with sonys firmware? Obviously touchwiz, sense etc are different but Sony is pretty close to stock.

Same here, rooting disables my banking app so reverted to stock but actually I'm very happy with stock. Touchwizz just Sucks balls full stop, you have to root.

No. Its not an intended release for generic users.
An open source archive build is basically Sony providing all the tools necessary to build a kernel and perhaps start cooking up ROMs. Depends on what they include.
Just talked to Sony mobile support and they told me an update is starting rolling out today. Should fix several things, in my case the audio issue I have.

Weird thing is, no ptcrb submission for the new firmware version. But let's hope it's really happening.

If you check ptcrb.com, usually every new firmware is listed there first for every handset type. But i think this one is really a bugfix version.
