LG has started to sell the international version D802 in Hong Kong since last week.
Is it available in other countries yet?
So far I only see we got some developments for US carrier and Korean variant but none for international.
Can't wait to see the roms for international variant!

yep, we heve it here in israel , but it will deliverd from the 1/10 with the international release of lg,
I do! I'm in Singapore, the telcos here all sell the D802.
Do you have root running on it? I'm not sure if IO root works on it(don't dare to void my warranty yet, especially with the root check software LG built in)
IOroot works on D802! I rooted my phone already.
SERIOUS. I'll do it tomorrow
Anything popping up anywhere on a "modified status" or such? I supposed TWRP should work too right ^^

IKR. Best part is that it's cheaper than the other top end devices out there *Note 3*
@somboons
Ahwell :/ What do you think could cause that? I have no idea how to build roms/kernels/recoveries but I think (hope) it's a few small tweaks to the installer

Because they are slightly different, someone needs go on IRC to give the devs the aboot and recovery images and then test it out.

hello , quick question about rooting the LG G2 (or any other phone in this case). Can I root the phone and leave all the software and functionalities, gimmicky software, bloatware intact ? The only reason I'm looking forward to root this phone is to install Cerberus Rooted Version. And can I unroot the phone afterward so not to avoid warranty ? Thanks
I really wouldn't mind doing that Worst case scenario is a fresh firmware flash right?

Simple, they srew up Updates. It's absolute nonsense that the Providers in the US still provide Devices with own Firmwares.
They stoped doing that Years ago in other Countries since the Device Firmwares get more and more complex.
It does also slow down the whole Update release speed for new Updates from the OEM's. A free Device is always the better choice...
Let's see how long it takes till You get Nougat...

And why are You running 10h in this Case? Nonbranded should be 10c,10d,10e or 10i not 10h...!? Maybe thats the Reason for Your reboots!? Wrong Firmware on Your Device!?
Can someone explain the numbers by v10j (234-20)please I'm seeing this firmware on H860 models of the G5
Just got my V30 Moroccan Blue from 1&1 (only available with a two year contract).
The screen is fine, no banding or clouding. I can see some slight light bleed around the edges and the already mentioned color changes when viewing the phone at an angle. Besides that, I can't find anything wrong with it.
Do you guys have any questions or want me to try something with this phone?
Post some live pictures of it. Interested in the blue color.
Same here in UK,preordered the silver colour but thinking to go for the Morrocan Blue. Some pics and thoughts would be nice....
Sent from my LG-H870 using Tapatalk
The phone feels very nice, no real issues so far (see first post). The blue color is beautiful to look at and the glass back has a premium feeling to it.
For my personal taste, the phone feels a bit too smooth, I'm afraid to have it slip out of my hands. But that can be solved by using a case.
When it comes to software, there's not much to say. Everything works as expected. There's some LG bloatware installed, but besides that nothing. I can confirm, that the phone supports the european Gallileo satellites.
The bootloader is of course locked.
Hi mate!
Could you please make a dump of your /system folder? Try with some file explorer first (easy way)

Hello!
Couple of questions:
1) Are there B&O headphones in the box?
2) Is it single SIM or dual SIM?
Thanks!
Jealous that you got the international version single SIM at the earliest, which is bootloader unlocked! I hope here in UAE , LG should sell this variant instead of dual SIM in most LG flagships, if not , I'll order LG H930 from online like eBay, Amazon etc ! I know in the future, you or LG H930 users will enjoy rooting the best phone in the world, or install custom kernel for some modding fun! LG V20 got some cool modding stuff in the XDA like custom fast charging without further heating up the phone , some very cool custom kernel stuff etc! Now the Samsung's flagships like the Galaxy Note 8, S8 etc their unlocked variants in XDA has cool mods like QHD (2K) @60fps , Open Camera which performs much better than stock camera! I really am eager in the future the unlocked LG V30 should have lots of unleashed capabilities!

It's not SIM locked to a carrier. 1&1 is an ISP and a third party seller for phone contracts. The phones themselves are unlocked and can be used with on any network.

According the the HiddenMenu, the following bands are supported:
1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 20, 28, 38
The following bands are NOT supported:
2, 13, 25, 29, 40
By the way, the correct code for the HiddenMenu is *#546368#*930#

You need to register for a LG developer account in order to unlock the bootloader. There's a list of offically supported devices. When the LG V30 is put on that list, you can request an unlock code from LG. With the bootloader unlocked, you can flash a custom recovery, roms, etc. The downside to all this is, that you loose your LG warranty when you unlock you phone.
So, currently, there's no way to unlock the bootloader. We'll have to wait for news from LG. When the first developers unlock their bootloaders, root and custom roms will follow soon after.

Apparently I have been able to root my H831...
I recently had my 4 month old LG 5 overheat and quit working. I returned it to the Cell phone provider (FreedomvMobile) who sent it to Futuretel in Ontario as the authorized repair centre in Canada.
They have informed me that I have rooted the phone and therefore it is not covered under warranty. I did not know what rooting was until I googled it. I have not rooted the phone. They are refusing to fix the phone. They say that the test of the phone is conclusive and that it was rooted. It was not. Does anyone have any idea if there are other causes that would make the technician at Futuretel think that it was rooted? I need some information before I go even further with this ridiculous response from Futuretel. Help!

Still no news on rooting h831??
That is a good question. There was finally an update to Android 8.0 for our devices but I wonder if it made it so they can be unlocked and whatnot...
I don't want to be negative, but I guess in the end we will have to sell this device and buy another one, just to have an unlocked bootloader and root

Well, I and my wife upgraded to Galaxy S9s this spring due to a seriously unbeatable deal. Had the G5 supported the AWS bands used by the new carrier we switched to, she would still have been using it but alas, nope.
We still have her LG G5 and my son uses it as an ipod of sorts. I would love to root the thing just so newer OS' can be installed on it as it will never be a phone again so I don't need to worry about things like tap to pay and such. I guess it getting to Android 8 will have to do.
Yeah, I would love to root if possible too but I understand that our device is not popular enough just as H850 is or H830.
Would be trying to sell this device and buy another one then...

Ya, see, there is one general complaint that fits this... I hate that there are so many damned models of each of the main model names... As in there is never really JUST an LG G5 or JUST a Galaxy S9.
If you look HARD enough there is a way to ROOT a H831. You have to use Marshmallow 6.0 and follow a small tutorial that you will find if you look HARD. I am not sure if you can roll back to v6.0 so you can force root but hey all you have to do is LOOK!

As noted by other peeps, not for our phone, its for the SM-G9650 sold in South American countries and possibly China.
Also, there are rooting tools out there that claim they can root the device however they cant. They wanted to charge $40.00, connected there app to my device and confirmed it would root. So before I forked over $40.00 I contacted the chat support. They confirmed the device could not be rooted.

You are exactly right. I don't think T-Mobile S9+ will ever get root at this pace until a couple Devs move to this phone .
All the devs in the world wont help, the phone is simply not rootable. Samsung has finally gotten their act together and closed the remaining holes in device architecture. Plenty of devs have already put significant effort into confirming this to be the case.
I've said this before but its worth repeating so that as many as are interested in this stuff will see it: We have seen the last of root on the USA snapdragon samsung devices. If you want a rooted Samsung phone, either purchase an exynos or the international Snapdragon version (like the SM-G9650 mentioned here) which fully support OEM unlock.
Is it possible to remove the T-Mobile branding on an LG Wing mobile phone? I purchased one from eBay and the seller was based in the US and I am in Australia.
I would like to know if I can flash a stock firmware or remove the branding as it is pretty baked in and not wanted.
The model number I have is a LM-F100TM.

I'm pretty sure via flashing with LGUp you can do that. Its a dangerous game though. It can brick if you aren't safe
Can you flash a different variants firmware though and has anyone successfully done it?
It's working well enough apart from the T-Mobile bloat, but I'd love it to not have that extra crud.
