[Q] SMS sending problems

Hello,
I have some troubles when I want to send a big SMS.
Like more than 10pages, it say that the sms was not able to be sent.
After that , all my sms cannot be sent any more and I need sometimes to reboot my phone.
I'm running a Xperia X10mini Pro U20i , using [Rom]Cyanogen Froyo CM6-Latest (based on MiniCM) - v3.03 + DualTouch.
I'm using Go SMS Pro app for sending SMS and I have uninstalled the stock app. I tryed with only the stock app too or the two but big sms doesn't work either
I was wondering if there was something to make against that ?
Thank you in advance
Edit: I missed the official thread for Questions about that rom so I puted the same post in it so if it is possible to delete that one
I think there is a buffer for that. It has to do with SIM probably, because this is a limit to data which is transfered to the provider. Imagine what would happen to the provider's servers if everybody spammed with 50 pages of text or more!
Boom, dissaster.
And there is nothing stable than stock.
Eeerm... Sometimes messages are not sent because of CPU settings such as undervolting, underclocking, overclocking or 3g network. Use 2g. And try to free some RAM, it would help too.

I believe the limit is a 10 part SMS. At least that's the limit with my carrier.
Yes, I believe so... I believe every carrier's limit is 10 sms, but that's until they start using super duper blah blah servers and super phones with always 3G speeds and batteries which last a 30 years without charging exist! xD

Hello again everyone,
With the same phone , same sim but on android 2.1SE , i could send more than 10pages without any troubles.
I have tryed without 2g/3g activated , but if I remember well i did the same with SE rom. I don't use Undervolting and I have put my cpu 240mhz mini and 670mhz maxi.
I use advanced task killer to free ram, i have about 80+ ram available when I am sending sms.
I live in france and my phone carrier is Bouygues Telecom.
By the way when I try to send two sms at the same time and at the same person it sometimes bug too...
So i suppose that there is nothing to do for that in the custom rom ?
4 pages is enough to make sms bug and not sent
And when a sms is bugging , all other sms ,while the time that the phone tell me that they couldn't be sent , are not sent too...

[Q] Galaxy SIII Not Receiving Text Messages

Hi,
I recently helped a colleague purchase a Galaxy SIII phone here in China, Guangzhou and made sure I checked the phone over completely before I purchased it.
I've done a search on the forums and check out anything that may be similar, but to no avail.
The problem is:
The phone will not receive any text messages, or at least they don't go through to the messaging app.
Text messages were being received normally for around a week
I disabled a bunch of pre-installed Chinese crap that is unfortunately not un-installable as it's baked into the ROM
It happened once, so I factory reset it, and then tested it. The text messages worked fine
I then disabled the Chinese stuff once again and installed Skype. Just to be sure, I sent more test text messages, and they were all received fine.
Around one week later, here we are, she says that text messages are not being received again.
All other functions of the phone are working. Internet / Edge network, sending texts, Play store, everything. Just not the receiving of texts!
I'm fairly confused as to this behaviour, particularly as it seems the text messages are working for a time limited period.
I had some inklings of what it could be:
- The SIII takes a micro-sim, the shop "manually" chopped the SIM using a cutter. Could this have damaged the SIM and caused this behaviour?
- The phone itself is faulty
- Something is up with the China Mobile settings / network and she needs to call them.
What would be your diagnosis, ideas, solutions XDA'ers?
Further information of any kind is, of course, available on request.
**** My ideas for a fix ****
Root the bastard and get a standard UK ROM on the phone to see if it works. However, I have some concerns. Years ago, when I bought my first HTC desire, when I rooted and put a UK ROM on it, I discovered that my phone was an imported Thai version of the phone and almost bricked it into a reboot loop as the phone didn't like a different regions ROM being loaded on.
I had to go through a convoluted process of making a specially edited SD-card to fool the phone into accepting different ROMS. Is this the case with the Galaxy SIII or have times moved on to more sophisticated means?
Thanks.
GJO
Have you try other messaging apps like Hancent SMS or Go SMS to confirm that msg service is not working?
Or maybe the CSC is causing the problem?

Open the stock messaging app. In its menu go to settings. Check that there is a number recorded under message centre. If not use Google to find the number for the carrier you are with and enter it.
I'm on an unrooted phone with a stock Rom and twice messaging has stopped working. The cause was that this number had spontaneously disappeared.

Ok, I've tried:
- alternative messaging apps, and they're not picking it up either.
- the message centre number.
When you say CSC? You mean the carrier code? It was bought in China and fitted with a Chinese ROM, but I'll look at the ROM settings and see what it is.
Thanks.
U dial *#1234# then you can see your csc
CSC – (Consumer Software Customization) Refers to the specific country or carriers for that said firmware is being build.
This where it contains the default settings of each specific geographical region, carrier network providers and network data connections.

I am having this problem. It was all working fine then suddenly it stopped. I don't know what could be the cause but I fooled around with the settings, deleted old text messages and then suddenly I received dozens of text messages.
It's like my phone isn't trying to receive any text messages. It can send text messages out but it won't receive any.
I am using Omega 31.1.
Can someone help me out please?

[Q] Help!!! Cant receive PHONE CALLS!!!

I am using Sony Xperia Neo L with ported Paranoid CM9 rom with CM9 OC Gov Net kernel. I have used it for a few months until today, I can't receive phone calls but can still make phone calls. When somebody calls me, the phone will just vibrate for less than a second. I can see who is calling me in the call logs. There isn't a screen for me to answer the call: with a call icon which can be pulled left or right. The caller would just hear my neo L's voicemail greeting or like forwarding to another phone ( i know that because the beeping sound is different.) I have checked the forwarding setting already. Plz help!!!!
maybe a bad flash. reflash rom
Thanks

Do I need to wipe data (reset)??? I don't want to do that because i will loose all my apps and files. BTW, thanks.
you are using panaroid. maybe you messed up with some pixel density in it app. dont change phone app pixel density, dont change its UI to tablet or phablet.
Use phone apk as phone UI and default 160px.
Yep like rajx^^ said try reinstall
The rom n do a full wipe bro
Do you see the notification icon when a call arrives try tapping it.
I had this bug once.
Off topic : Did you really use this ROM for months or am I just seeing things
