I'm playing around with Carbon after trying Revolt for a while and I can see where I can set the DPI, but not the DP. So, I can shrink my icons, but the relative space on my homescreen is still the same (4 x 4). On Revolt you could use PA to change the DP to 600p or something, but I can't find any way to do that here.
I've searched and can't seem to find anything, but that could be because I'm pretty new to all this and might be searching for the wrong thing (DP, PX, 600p, Resolution, etc.). Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nevermind, I found this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2072081
Will test it out to see if it works for me.

I searched and could not locate any information on how to resolve the screen pixel density issue with the Honeynook demo...so I started to play around with different settings by editing the build.prop...dozens of FC's later I stopped and decided to give it a rest...
However one day while on the bus to work, I decided to try using LCD density from the market...this worked!
...but a funny thing happened, when I dropped the density over 180 the Honeycomb launcher was replaced by what looks like ASOP lock screen and black status bar with white fonts , I then installed LauncherPro...check out the screen shots. (Playing around with higher settings changes the status bar to grey with black fonts, I did not screenshot those)
Then I started looking for a way to change the wall paper and show Picasa pictures. I found a thread with an APK to 3D Gallery which worked...screen shots below.
I'm not a dev; just tinkering with these ROMs...thought it might be informational as I have seen multiple threads where they mention how Honeycomb is not for phone devices...obviously there seems to be some phone stuff in there.
- Big thanks to Deeper-Blue for making this ROM
- Dalingrin for the 1.1Ghz Kernel
- Cicada for sparking my interest in froyo on this
- Samuelhalff for all the emmc posts, I learned a lot!
Anyone I missed…my bad, but thanks!
- my colors are all inverted, some setting i must have mised using the screenshot app-
What you did was changed the LCD density to a cell phone density. Honeycomb is designed to change the IU from tablet to phone based on density settings. The max you can change it to and keep the tablet format is 160. anything beyond that changes the ui to a 2.2 like UI

Hello,
i already thank you for reading this and trying to help me, I've started to become desperate. I have a Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 (SM-T535) (rooted) and i would like to either fake the screen resolution given to a website or change the screen resolution itself. The website I want to go on has diffenrent styles for different resolutions and it cannot be changed by just going into the sites preferences. I know it is about the resolution and not about something else because when I'm on my computer and change the resolution in the Firefox developer tools, the page has exactly the style I want on my tablet. I tried the resolution changer that was suggested in another thread, but it didn't have any effect, and I tried changing the build.prop which resulted in a soft brick.
If anyone could tell me what i could do to make a website think i have a certain resolution, that'd be great.
Hi folks,
I'm a Themer noob, but a even with searching around I haven't found the solution. Basically, I installed Themer on my Slimkat ROMed T-Mo Samsung Galaxy S4 (M919 model), and went theme shopping. Found lots of nice ones but they all look tiny on my screen. Fonts and icons are much smaller than shown while browsing themes. For example, here's a theme I thought looked pretty. I'm attaching two pictures, one as shown in the theme browser and the other (with the tiny text and a tiny angry birds icon) the way it actually displays.
How do I change the sizes of the things, basically zooming the elements by a factor of 2-3X?
I have tried the icon size dp setting, but changing it doesn't seem to do much of anything at all.
Thanks in advance for help in adjusting the scaling!

Hi Marc,
We apologize about this, but you say you're running Slimkat. For some reason Slimkat has also been giving other users in this section similar issues. However one possible cause for this could be your display/DPI/resolution settings. Make sure that all your settings are set to your device's default setup, as Slimkat may have changed a few of them.
If this isn't the case please let us know, thanks!

Thanks Marco. I'll poke around today and see if I can figure out how to change the DPI stuff. I've never needed to in my past Android experience and will need to figure out how to do it. I haven't yet seen an obvious setting for it, so maybe it's a build.prop mod?
I will report back after investigating!

I researched and found the actual pixel density of the S4 screen is 441. Using Device Control's build-prop settings, I found mine with SlimKat was set to 370. I adjusted it to 441 and a lot of things look more normal now in the regular launcher. The status bar at the top is now normal size and fonts are generally more legible.
However, in Themer, things still seem a bit small. I re-applied the theme, and things got a bit bigger, but still smaller than I'd like. I'll continue to poke around...

Whenever you have an issue with Themer, try this:
1. Uninstall Themer.
2. Delete the /sdcard/MyColorScreen/ folder (remove the Exported folder if you saved any themes).
3. Reinstall Themer.
Let me know how it goes!
I kicked the tires on Remix OS for PC. I had an extra SSD in my desktop. I got everything up and running, but the road block was not being able to scale the resolution for my two 42" TVs that I am using as monitors. Without being able to scale the resolution, I don't really have access to the task bar.
I did some searching around, and only found solution for standard resolution. I also need to scale the resolution. I got silly enough to search for Nvidia control Panel for Android (running a GTX 970). I was not able to find a solution.
If anyone has a solution for scaling resolution, I will give Remix OS another look, but right now it just won't work for me. I would love to be able to move to one platform for everything.
Thanks all!!
Also have the same problem really love the Os but want to run it on my TV, but missing the bottom and top bar and some of the sides. Love to get a fix cheers.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will give that a shot this weekend, when I have more time to play.
Hi!
I'm steaming at Android. I am just changing from a Galaxy Note with 4.4 to a LG G3 with 6 and aside from the speed it is nothing but disappointment.
With a huge increase in pixels I thought that more information will be displayed - but it is the exact opposite. After days of tinkering and installing xposed and Appsettings I am finally getting a bit of a hold of that problem.
But there are still a lot of weird things I can't seem to find the right place to make it work.
Can anyone point me to a place where I can find an explanation of how app layout and screen presentation depending on resolution is handled? Or explain it here?
