"Your warranty is now void. We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at any of us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Collectively, and at the same time."

i was the first post in Q&A and so I will take advantage and do it here too.
for a newcomer here, this has been as solid as anything else here. lots of KEWL bells and whistles.
stupid me tried to apply a theme to this and threw me into bootloop, the only way out was to flash something else. was a temporary fix though. gonna flash back tonight the newest.
updates through GOO.IM was a smart move Dude. seemless and super easy for the flasher/updater.

Armyboy is right. The themes are backwards and forwards compatible. The only problem that should arise is sometimes certain portions of the theme will be missing if it was originally made for CM10 and your trying it on CM10.2 and vice versa.

Its actually a pretty old Rom @DerTeufel1980 has been working on this for a very long time, It is just such a great ROM that I have used on 3 devices, and I started compiling it for my Herc since it wasn't available, Flash addict and compile addict here . Your Hardware is basically the same as a Hercules T989 we share Kernel Repo's. And @Cl3Kener has been making really good Kernel's for the Hercules which he had no problem adapting to the variants. I decided to help and compile it for a few Devices so that more can enjoy this terrific ROM and Kernel.
But its a really good new addition to this dev area true. I do not have any of the device's I am compiling this for accept my herc but will do my best to help with any problems.
Trying this, thanks :good:
Can anyone direct me to an appropriate radio?
I have tried this rom on my Captivate way back... this is hell of a great rom.
Trying this on my note one... will post back if any thing hits me while testing it!

must have been my phone then. I applied the teal/orange theme for CM10. it changed, then went to reboot for full implementation and would not boot back. just kept looping boot up. it was late and didn't have time fiddle after 3 attempts. flashed a backup
I don't want to be a wet blanket but I'm having an issue with the gallery when I go to it the freezes and then shuts off I was trying to figure how how to send a log cat but I couldn't find developer options in the menu

You have to enable dev options by hitting about phone in settings I think 8 times. You most likely have something corrupt on your sd best fix I believe is back up everything you want to save and format the sd. Then reboot and take a few pictures and open gallery. Then copy your stuff back that you wanted to save. 4.3 is a little picky if you look google search 4.3 gallery crash, or look through other device dev forums allot of people have the gallery issue on 4.3

I got it to boot by flashing Franco along with it, it will probably work with others too but I'm not too sure, I just used Franco because it was included in the last release.
Good luck
Edit: torch toggle doesn't work by default, I installed the AOKP torch.apk and it still isn't working, anybody have any ideas?

thanks, I forgot about the toolkit.
pushed the kernel over and flashed, and now it's booting.
So no one has got it to load on a different kernel than Franco? That's weird.

Running beautiful for me, its the smoothest feeling ROM I've had running on my Nexus 4, plus, now it has some awesome features
Top marks guys.
only franco kernel compatible
I think I know the answer to this, but is it possible to just wipe cache and dalvik coming from the liquid smooth alpha rom? Probably not right?
I've just got things set up really good on the alpha build.
And I take it you just flash the ROM then immediately flash Franco kernel in order to get the ROM booting?

Couple of bugs to note, for me anyway.
1. Home button doesn't work. On move it should show previews of home screen by default when pressed. I got nothing. I tried switching it to app drawer, still nada.
2. In the quick settings, pressing the settings tile does nothing.
Love the extra customizations. Smooth as you like.

Installation on the Galaxy Player 4.0/ Galaxy S 4.0
Note: Please backup your efs in case of something goes wrong (the zip should backup it but we're never too sure) To do so execute this command:
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/stl3 of=/sdcard/efs.rfs
*** If upgrading from CM9 or CM10, it is recommended that you wipe data.
1. Download cm-9-20130402-kernel-preflash.zip
md5: 4a900fcddbc3d81d121a7b9c9d4bb0a0
2. Download this rom
3. Make all your backups.
4. Make sure your efs is intact (not blank).
5. Boot into recovery, make more backups.
6. Flash cm-9-20130402-kernel-preflash.zip (temporary workaround for first-time install from stock)
7. Flash this rom
Installation Notes:
When you install for the first time, there is a conversion to the new MTD partition layout. The installer will flash the new kernel and reboot. It is possible for this process to hang up on the samsung logo (still working that part out). It is normal to see the Samsung logo appear 3 seperate times during this reboot phase. **Please wait at least a minute before assuming you are stuck.** If this happens, you should extract the boot.img from the installer zip and flash it with heimdall (heimdall flash --kernel boot.img, or other appropriate GUI methods). It should boot back into recovery and continue the installation. Once the install finishes, it should reboot once more back into recovery, which gives you the opportunity to flash your gapps.

Q: This rom seems slow and I have very little free ram.
A: Try using the Sultan Kernel or KKernel. Try using the SmartassV2 governer with sio, and experiment around with the clock speed (For me, 1320MHz is stable).
The app Greenify also helps; I usually have ~150MB in free ram.
Also try installing the Crossbreeder Mod or Pimp My Rom
Another thing you can do is disable the animations under developer settings (scroll down about to about 3/4 of the page)
If it still feels really slow, you might want to switch to Slim Rom or CM10.1

but i initiallized the PAC rom repo.
and then there are just some files you have to edit under vendor/pac
basically, i just looked at the files for other devices and modified a few things for the galaxy player
Hmm you would need to replace v19 by v22 as it is 4.2.2.

See if increasing cpu voltages for all freq ( with Kernel Tunner ) helps. Increase it by 25mV.
If it still reboots give me a last_kmsg.

Actually Diablo is my kernel I use for compiling ROMs. If you want a flashable version of my kernel it is called UBER. Uber is more geared for flashing (it has more modules and some optimizations and such) and Diablo is meant to be build inside a ROM. If you want to checkout out my UBER nightlies the link is here http://goo.im/devs/Cl3Kener/HAMMERHEAD/KERNELS/UBER
Exp-linaro is made with a Linaro 4.8.3 toolchain. The more stable versions are made with Linaro 4.7.4. I'll be making a kernel OP very soon you can post some feedback on the kernel.

Plugged my phone into my PC but mount storage is not an option:
Go into "Settings>Storage" click the menu button either on the top right of the screen or the capacitive menu button next to the home button and click "USB Computer Connection" from the popup menu
Choose one of the 3 options for mounting
There is not one set by default because we would like the user to choose how the sdcards mount
Can i get updates through the ROM?:
Yes, For ROM updates go into "Settings>About Phone>LiquidSmooth Updates
For gettings gapps go into "Settings>About Phone>LiquidSmooth Downloads"

Congrats! I guess on getting a place of your own to work work work on this awesome ROM. I must add this thread to my subscription list post haste. Thank you for sticking with this. It is appreciated.
A few questions:
1. The device tree will appear where in their repo(s)? android_vendor_htc?
2. How will the OTA update system work? Will there be an option for dailies?
3. How to get the LED to blink green or orange instead of solid on green with orange blink?
4. Do you think they'll ever make a new boot ani? I think the JB ver was soooo much better.
Still fun to build on my own even if I don't necessarily make any changes.

1. https://github.com/LiquidSmooth-devices Will be device_htc_vigor which will track back to my repos using the dependencies
2. You can already find the OTA updater in the about phone section, so you can setup how often it will check for updates now if you want but it still matters on how often i push an update to the servers which im unsure of right now
3. Ive attempted to change the LEDs colors in the past, Honestly never played with the notification LEDs much. there is a setting for it and i havent heard of it being changed on our device before
4. They just pushed there new one out but im keeping aroma installer in all builds, so you still have the option to use the old animation
I'm working now on getting things moved over to where they need to be. My apologies for not being as available to keep this up as much as id like. @bunchies has been doing an outstanding job and I should have switched things long ago, The Rez community deserves it!

You must snatch the ROM from the server before it's closed...grasshopper

OK so far I've noticed camcorder wouldn't work on stock camera but would on Google camera. So uninstalled stock camera and that works good now. When I plug in headphones I lose all sound with or without headphones then I have to wipe dalvik and reboot to get back sound. But this is a very awesome ROM. Lots of tweaks. Thank you.

Ok, this is a bit disturbing because I love to listen to music when I walk in the mornings... after yoou wipe the cache and get your sound back, does it stay, stick, get fixed from then on?

It stays until I plug in headphones again. Have to reboot and wipe every time to get sound back. I never get sound from the jack and it knocks out all my sound even when they're out. Wipe and reset brings it back though.

Ok, thanks... maybe bunchies can figure this out for us. I am afraid this situation would be a big hindrance for me... then again, a ROM under development usually has a quirk or two.
