[Q] Lockscreen & outgoing blutooth calls require pin fix? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

I've recently purchased a Verizon Galaxy S4 (SCH-i545)...
The problem I ran into almost immediately is that if I try to make a call with handsfree / bluetooth and the screen is locked the phone wants me to enter a pin. I have tried messing with the settings (My Device -> Call Settings -> Call Accessories -> Outgoing Call Conditions) in the device which seem like they should allow me to enable an outgoing call via bluetooth without requiring a pin, but they don't seem to work / change the behavior. Google searching suggests others have run into this...
I've been looking at installing a HyperDrive ROM, which restores the Blocking feature Verizon disabled, but I can't tell if it would fix this issue.
I'd post in the thread for the HyperDrive ROM, but I can't yet.
Anyone know if the HyperDrive ROM fixes this or if there is another fix?
TIA,
JW

You are in the wrong forum. This is for the S4 Active i537 and international model.

A kind mod moved the post from the wrong forum to this one on my behalf.
I didn't realize I had selected the wrong S4 forum, when originally posting.
Thx,

[Q] Voice Feed Back?

I have the newish Samsung Galaxy S2X but people say that they can hear their own voice during calls, is this normal or has anyone else had this issue also is there something I can adjust in Settings to fix this cuz I am new to Samsung?
Thanks
Echo effect was often connected to noise reduction function. Try to disable it if your ROM supports it at all. Btw - which ROM you have?

Just close the ad.
Also, I just noticed you said you have a Galaxy S2 X. That is actually the SGH-T989D.
FYI, you're currently in the forum for the GT-i9100, which is the international version of the Galaxy S2. Two different phones. You should probably be in the T989 forums.

Weird Problem?

Hello all,
So I have a bit of a weird problem. I read about The Google Now for ICS Project with Voice Search now added (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747224) and I decided to give it a shot. My first problem might be that my phone is not rooted. Now my phone is not this exact model but I cannot find a correct forum for my phone. It is a Rogers Samsung Galaxy S II LTE phone. To use the ICS Google Now Project will I need to root my phone?
Next question is when I plug my phone in, activate USB storage and search through my phone, I do not have the folders they say I should. I am looking for systems/apps which I do not have. Any reason behind this?
Thank you to anybody who is able to help me out
Your phone is an SGH-I727R. Also known as a skyrocket which has its own forum. Also you do have a system/apps folder but in order to access it your phone must be rooted.
Omg what's with all the slowrockets here and a Rogers one at that. Guess att and rogers are pretty similar? Lol...yeah...

Data issue...

Ok SO I could not find a proper thread for this since there are SO many threads. The issue I'm having is I got a Samsung galaxy S III that was unlocked, and after I put my ATT sim into it I could recieve texts and calls but I could not recieve data. So I rooted it and applied clockwork with all my mods and figured I could find some setting that would fix it... well I was wrong. I tried global, GSM and LTE settings none of which would give me data. If there is anything anyone can do to help I would be more than appreciative.

Report the thread and a request a mod to move it to the Q&A section of the AT&T Galaxy S3 forum. This is the International S3 forum. Any suggestions you take from here are liable to brick your phone.
Replying from phone, so, cannot link to the right forum.

Sometimes when I flash stock 4.1.2 (ELKC) I lose data. I simply get sent APN settings by carrier to fix issue. T-Mobile UK.
Tryin Google I found this: http://galaxys3root.com/att-galaxy-s3/att-galaxy-s3-sgh-i717-apn-and-4g-lte-pta-settings/

Because you have the Version model it may be that it is incompatible with the AT&T data network, the US variants are designed to work on a specific network and can have major incompatibilities with other networks.
But check your apns just in case.

Samsung Galaxy S2 from Straight Talk on ShoShock3 no MMS

I have been trying to get MMS to work on ShoShock3 for my straight talk galaxy s2 with no luck at all. My APN settings are corrent, I have data, I have the UCLK3 modem flashed as the stock one would give me no network. MMS does not work for me, perhaps someone could help me out and let me know if it's working for them or if there's any extra steps. I haven't seen any so I'm confused as to why it isn't working. Thanks a buch.

Check APN settings. As for the OP, does MMS work on any other ROMs?
Galaxy S2 (SGH-I777)
CM 9.1 (ICS)
UCLE5
AJK 1.49
APN settings were it. Works like a champ now. Thanks

Probably so. I don't know if the APN settings would be different. But the Skyrocket has it's own forums here on xda.

Here is where to start...this is in the General forum for the Skyrocket...a thread about straight talk sims... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44927540&postcount=1
There may be more threads about this subject but found this one and stopped looking. Figured it would lead u in the right direction.

Help!!

Guys, whenever I try a custom ROM on my S3 (intl), I cant hear any calls I make, but the people on the other side can hear me!
But when I return to stock the problem vanishes!
Is there any solution to this problem?

first time I heard this kind of issues, have you tried making a full wipe after flashing??
also try with an unbranded rom from samsung and see if the issue persists, if not check with the rom developer
Is your phone a carrier SIM locked phone?
No!

Got same problem
Hi!
I've got the very same problem myself.
Solution: when your phone boots, do something to make it beep (like playing around with volume). If the first sound after boot is not a call - it works.
Second, check your Baseband version. Sadly, I can't now remember which one CM10.1 use (I may look int it and post additionally if you're interested). You may need to update either baseband to match CM built-in RIL or flash RIL that matches your baseband after each firmware update. I do second option, but I will recommend using first if you're not a dev
Third, latest CM10.1 nightly (20130711) is totally broken for me - I use 20130709 now
