I bought a mag usb cable for my ZU. It's not made by sony but looks ok. Much cheaper than dk30, but it really makes charging easier.

You should definitely go on eBay, become a seller, buy a bunch of those and sell them to all of us...

Can I ask...
How is connection strength of the magnet?
IF your phone is charging on the desk, can you pick it up and use your phone normally without breaking connection?
Or do you need to pretend like you are handling a bomb (so to speak..) because the connector will fall off with movement?
The shipping cost is way to high here. I live in a small town.

It's good, better than the one from dk30 . But it's still better to leave the phone on desk and charge.

Here's one I found on Amazon
I'm going to order a couple because the main reason I plug a USB cable into my phone is to charge it - I very rarely plug it in to transfer data.
Of course when it comes to flashing custom ROMs things change...

Just wondering if this cable will basically mean my phone can be connected to ipod docks and play sound through those speakers?
Thanks in advance
Couldn't say for sure. But it certainly looks possible. And at less than £2 its not going to be a costly mistake if not.

I see where some people have been playing with BB Demos lately. Has anyone noticed if the VZW model has the pins for wireless charging?

it may be like the sprint phone and be covered up by the sticker on the back.
bb really strips the phone down by taking the stylus and adding that security device in the back.
The Vzw model does not have wireless charging pins.

Then why doesn't it work? I have Qi compatible pad that charges a HTC Droid DNA just fine. But no dice with the Note 2
Agreed - those pins are part of the NFC antenna. The verizon model does not have the charging pins (or they are covered up by the backplate of the phone). The wireless charging pins would be next to the battery if they were visible.
See this for the pin locations:

Yep, those pins are for NFC. Unlike the Galaxy S3 which housed NFC in the battery, the Verizon Note 2 has NFC in the door. That's what those pins are for.
Damnit all to hell. Lol. My bad. Guess I shouldve noticed the battery didnt say nfc o.0

Isn't there something from qi that uses the same pins for both NFC and inductive charging?

The other Note 2s had to have an induction coil added and connected to the charging pins for wireless charging to work. Look at this thread:

looks like you guys are right, no charging pins for verizon's model.

This guy does the whole thing on his verizon phone on youtube. He used a back to a samsung charge phone so its qi compatible.
I have a Qi compatible charger and can tell you that it doesn't work for me.

I thought about that but the connectors are actually on the motherboard, that said, you could mod the motherboard with copper tape, then use a wireless charging back (if they ever release them) from an international version

I use the stock charger to charge my phone once a day. Since I have had it it seems to always be making this somewhat high pitched buzz. Sorry don't really know how to describe the noise. Just want to know if this is an issue or does this just happen with the charger. Has anyone else noticed this with their charger?
Thanks for the help!

Sounds like a capacitor has swollen in the charger. Replace it with an OEM unit asap as the output has surly changed. This may lead to battery fatigue/failure.

I wouldnt use the nexus 7 charger cause the output on it is 5volt 2amp on it. the DNA charger is 5volt 1 amp. it might be too much juicefor a smaller battery. the n7 battery is more than twice the size of the dna. If it was me I would at least use one for a phone.
So I should use my dna charger until I get a replacement? I guess I will just have to go without a charge for a bit as these are my only two chargers, I lost my samsung one.

Even though the rep said it was safe for you to use the Nexus 7 charger, I'd get a 2nd opinion. They are no experts, just people reading form a computer screen. Heck, when I called Verizon about service plans I got 3 different answers from 3 different people.
Yea if its not oem outputs don't use it

I'm looking for a cable and other accessories.
The only Streak cable I have will provide a charge when plugged into a laptop, but not when plugged into a wall (A/C) adapter or into a car adapter.
Weird, right? Any ideas? I might make a thread on this, but as part of the trouble shooting I'm sure people will insist on my obtaining a different cable to try. A bent pin may be the cause. Who knows.
So I think I'm going to turn over a new leaf and try to keep a phone for at least a year. Well doing so will require an otter box or similar. The problem here is wireless charging. If it doesnt charge I'm going to have to use the plug. I know first world problems If I take that annoying flap off before it snaps off will the USB port still resist water?
Sent from my SM-G900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
If you have the flap off and the stock Samsung charger isn't in it, it is not resistant to water.
